Chaos Mordecai
Note: This Goddess has become inactive and therefore there is practically no chance of gaining any tiers.
Chaos Mordecai is the Goddess of Truth as a result of a power transfer from the now-deceased Ishtara Aubym.
Hero/Heroine of Chaos Mordecai:
Those who please Chaos Mordecai significantly might become a Hero/Heroine of Chaos Mordecai; that is, they will be granted blessings that vary by tier. Each tier of this nature is progressively more beneficial than the last, and past blessings are retained. Those who attain the fifth tier as a Hero/Heroine of Chaos Mordecai are very powerful indeed, fighting for the glory of their Goddess with abilities that approach Godliness in and of themselves.
Seeker of Truth - The first tier of official favor has been gained from Chaos Mordecai. Seekers of Truth have been marked with a tattoo of glimmering gold in the shape of a dove perched on a dead branch. For truth to prevail, illumination must be shed on the subject in question. For this reason, Seekers of Truth are endowed with the ability to see in any conditions as if it were broad day and, further, see through the first lie told to them by any person.
Disciple of Honesty - The second tier of official favor has been gained from Chaos Mordecai. Disciples of Honesty have been marked with a tattoo of glimmering gold in the shape of a dove perched on a leaf-covered branch. They have the 'Seeker of Truth' ability, but can also read the mind of non-sentient beings. With a little creativity and, perhaps, digging, this can greatly aid them in pursuit of others or escape or knowledge about the surrounding terrain for any number of reasons.
Noble - The third tier of official favor has been gained from Chaos Mordecai. Nobles have been marked with a tattoo of glimmering gold in the shape of a dove perched on a lush branch with fruit sprouting from it. They have the benefits attained at the prior two tiers, but are also granted with the blessing of wings that allow them to fly. These wings are identical in shape to those of a dove. They also receive the ability of clairsentience.
Champion of Integrity - The fourth tier of official favor has been gained from Chaos Mordecai. Champions of Integrity have been marked with a tattoo of glimmering gold in the shape of a dove perched on a lush branch with fruit sprouting from it with wings spread. They have the benefits attained at the prior three tiers, and are granted with the ability to force another individual to speak truth to them. This can be used twice a day and works for one question.
Holy Speaker of Chaos - The fifth and final tier of official favor has been gained from Chaos Mordecai. Holy Speakers of Chaos have been marked with a glimmering gold tattoo with a silver outline of a dove in flight. They have the benefits attained at the prior four tiers, but are also granted with the ability to know the past of objects and individuals by touch and know when they are being lied to (Note: Being lied to is not the same as deceived). Holy Speakers of Chaos are the beloved of Chaos Mordecai and killing one could bring on the wrath of Chaos Mordecai herself. Extreme caution should be taken if you find yourself at odds with a Holy Speaker of Chaos.
Accursed of Chaos Mordecai:
Those who anger Chaos Mordecai significantly might become Accursed; that is, they will be inflicted with curses that vary by tier. Each tier of the Accursed is progressively more dangerous than the last. Those who attain the fifth tier of the Accursed generally have very short life expectancies.
Falsehood - The first tier of the Accursed has been cast by Chaos Mordecai. Since truth is being removed, the Accursed will find themselves unable to tell the truth. Of course, this will anger people when they know they've been blatantly lied to and can get the Accursed in rather nasty situations that they'll be hard-pressed to get out of.
Beauty - The second tier of the Accursed has been cast by Chaos Mordecai. Since pure truth does not care about appearances, the Accursed will suddenly find themselves obsessed with the appearance of their own person and that of others. If they find blemishes on their body, they will become depressed and hate themselves passionately.
Desire - The third tier of the Accursed has been cast by Chaos Mordecai. Truth does not desire unholy or ungainly things. The Accursed will be obsessed with such at this tier, stealing anything they set their eyes on that they desire. Most who reach this tier go into hermitages to prevent their own demise.
Hunger - The fourth tier of the Accursed has been cast by Chaos Mordecai. Those who seek truth hunger for illumination... as will those cursed with hunger by Chaos Mordecai. They will find themselves seeing life in grayscale and light will be only a third as bright as it is to others. Night-time is particularly difficult to navigate.
Befuddled - The fifth and final tier of the Accursed has been cast by Chaos Mordecai. Accurseds are marked with a golden bullseye covering their entire face. Those who manage to anger Chaos Mordecai to such an extent are wanted dead by the Goddess who cursed them and doing so would gain one favor from Chaos Mordecai. Accurseds of Chaos Mordecai will quickly realize that they cannot tell the difference between truth and untruth. Further, they will be completely uncertain as to the truth of their species. Standing as a man one moment, they might find themselves sticking their tongues in the homes of fire ants the next, as they truly believe (until the hour is over) they are ant-eaters. On the hour, they will know themselves for what they truly are. After that hour, however, they will believe they are some other beast for another hour. This, naturally, tends to shorten their lifespan significantly.
Hysteria
When the prayer 'Hysteria' is communed by a follower of Chaos Mordecai, the affected will believe themselves to be deaf and mute.
