~Let The Journey Begin~
:/|\: Two Hours Before Present Time :/|\:
"So you are telling me that I am not the only one after this treasure? And that IF I am too journey after it I should be prepared to travel three miles underground at this X here on the map?" Demmural questioned his supposed trustworthy informant that was giving him information about buried treasure in the Brazilian rain forest. Demmural was positive that the information was correct and that his informant was indeed trustworthy to send him to riches. He also happened to give Demmural specific instructions written on a separate piece of paper on how to navigate the supposed labyrinth and death traps inside of the cavern he would have to travel through upon entering into it.
"Yes, just as I have explained to you before my friend. It should be a simple journey for you seeing as this is what you crave the most correct? Danger and trouble? Especially seeing as you have a paid guide on your hands." The Brazilian spoke to his friend in a very persuasive voice, informing Demmural once more.
"I shall guide you all across South America if you wish sir! I am very well indeed at what I do best. Guiding!" The guide seemed over eccentric about the whole entire thing. The entire time Demmural was in deep thought of whether or not to buy the story or just walk away. He knew it was too good to be true. So he believed it. Blinking his bright white eyes that shimmered from under his hooded robe, he nodded then turned around.
"Then let it be so...Come on...I wish to waste no more time in this city and find this treasure...The sooner we leave now the better...." With quick even strides, and gracefulness about him, Demmural walked out of the alley way, head lowered to avoid eye contact from any one who wished to wander their eyes onto his. It was the safest thing to do seeing as he was in a heavily populated village just about three whole hours away from the location of where he was headed. Thus he and the guide set out upon their journey.
:/|\: Present Time :/|\:
Having slight difficulties making his way through the thickets of under brush that the forest threw into Demmurals path, he still pushed forwards, using the guides machete to aid him; although it failed to do so at times. Nevertheless, he was very persistent to reach his intended goal. The forest was active with much wild life. The rich greenery made him stand out like a sore thumb from afar, seeing as he was still cloaked in his dark brown, and now some what water drenched robe. Oddly enough, it had a tear along the left side of it. This was from a skirmish between him and three hunters. This explained why he was now alone, and by himself. His guide failed miserably in combat, and was slain trying to aid Demmural when he was ordered not to help him.
"That foolish thrall should have never pulled out his gun...That was simply signing away his own life right then and there!!" Demmural shouted aloud as he slashed through a thicket of vines. His face displayed disgust and anger for hunters once more, all while it dripped with sweat and moisture. He continued pushing forwards, and eventually came to a small clearing where he stopped and glimpsed upwards at the above canopy over head. He was no further than about an hour and maybe a half away from his destination. The last time he checked the map was about fifteen minutes ago. So he knew he was still on the right track.
"Hmmm...I wonder who these others are that are searching for the treasure as well...It makes me even more curious and eager to reach it...Though I am more interested in this supposed tome, than anything else that is there..." He spoke once more, this time seeming to exhale his words, rather then stating them. There was one thing that he was for sure though, one of the beings was a Daemon. According to his friend. The true question was, why did he not travel with some of his companions? Why not simply have them to aid him? He did mention to Mana about there being treasure some place in south america, but did not say whether or not he were planning to go on this gran adventure. But it should have been fairly obvious that if Demm mentions something to a close friend, more than likely he will go through with such a thing. Which is what he was precisely doing.

A Serpents Homelands
The Jungle seemed to be alive with life, the animals screeching their noises, the rustling of bushes and birds flapping their wings. But, lets take notice to a boar drinking from the small body of water that looked a dark brown and murky. Though it wasn't that large, it was deep. Within these depths, there could be anything, and something lurked there that anything near this body of water would suspect. Swimming slowly just under the surface of the water, a Dragon slowly made it's way through, to where the bank was that the boar was drinking.
The boar never suspected it when a large dragon jumped from the watch, opening it's mouth and clasping into the side of it's face. With a quick snap, the boar died, the Dragon scored her food. But, she merely placed the carcas on the ground at her feet, her pale green eyes shifting around through the trees until a small figure dropped down from the tree's branches. A man dressed in black jeans, muddy boots and a sleevless shirt with a black duster tied around his waist. He had a spear in his hand and a massive sword strapped to his back and it was sheathed, along with a quiver full of arrows.
The Dragon didn't attempt to attack him, she merely looked at him and then at the dead corpse infront of her, as if telling him to prepare it. The man shook his head, smiling warmly at the dragon and approached the dead creature, starting to prepare it for cooking. Once it was skinned and such, he started to fix up a little camp site in big enough clearing between the density of tree's that allowed the man and the dragon to rest while the boar cooked.
"So, what do you think?" The man spoke to the dragon
"About?" The Dragon said replied back, but her voice wasn't heard through sound. She spoke to him in a mind link.
"I mean, we hear about some treasure out here, the rumors fairly recent to. Do you think we're going to be the only ones out here, Jadova? Or do you think we're chasing wild geese?" He said, starting to saw off a chunk of meat from the boar and then tossed it up to Jadova.
She quickly snatched it out of the air, hissing in delight as she chewed, but then looked at her partner, "We've been together many years, it doesn't matter who is here, we can handle it. Even if we can't get the treasure, we won't get killed if you're worried about that."
"Never, you're a dragon, you can fly away from any danger, and I can just hang on to your tail. But, you know how I feel about retreating." Kandasa said as he started to peel a piece of meat off the roasted meat for himself.
"Indeed, but you're smart, you know when to turn around from a loosing battle." She said simply.
Kandasa only huffed a little, "I've never retreated from a battle."
"No, you haven't. I've had to grab you fly off with you before. Remember? You thought I wouldn't have enough time to get away, so you tried to stay behind and fend off that pack of Vampyres all on your own? Lets not try that again, okay?" Jadova said, half serious, half playful.
Jadova and Kandasa both knew he would risk his life to ensure the survival of his Dragon. He has showed that fact many times before, and as strong as he is now, he's constantly trying to become stronger so that he truly can protect her with his life and continue doing so when it really matters.
"Yeah . . . I'll try to refrain." Kandasa said, taking another bite of his food, his steel-blue eyes watching the fire that Jadova had made for the little camp. He also pulled his hair back into a loose ponytail. It was humid here, he felt like his hair was plastering to his skin, and he hated that feeling,
"I hate the rain forests..."

As a Child, I Once Thought I Could be a HERO Little Did I Know? HERO's Have Died a Long Time Ago

“Fucking mosquitoes” Every time one of those little bastards stole a bit of her blood, a bit of frustration settled inside her instead. The daemoness tried to convince herself that it was worth it, that at the end of her journey awaited her a grand reward.
Eavesdropping in Brazil is quite easy when you dominate the Portuguese language, so Victoria would pick up on bar conversations often. After a couple of weeks collecting information from locals, she was finally able to gather enough information to engineer a solid theory and plan. Apparently deep within the rain forest existed an underground tomb, that hid within a great treasure. A treasure deeply craved by the young daemoness.
Still, there had been rumors of people who had come to city looking for information about the treasure, so she was ready to face some competition. Humans were easily discarded, her worries laid on other supernatural creatures. Not enough to shake her confidence.
The female strapped her hair on pony-tail, avoiding it from sticking to her face before fetching the map she had stolen from a human, who apparently intended to embark on this journey by himself, Victoria liked to think she saved his life by taking away his material. No one could be stupid enough to enter that jungle without a map, or at least some sort of guidance. Diverting all of her attention on the piece of paper, the female found herself tripping on some kind of object, consequently loosing her balance and dropping the map on muddy floor. “ Shit!” She cursed between her teeth as she regained balance. Her blue eyes raised from the wet paper to the obstacle. A dead body. Not one. Four. After a light analysis , she came to the conclusion that three of them were hunters, and one of them some kind of guide. Victoria focused, turning her blue eyes into her original black orbs, allowing her a sharper vision. A dim light shone northwest from where she was standing, probably a hunter camp. It was time to erase some pests. Unlike many daemons, Victoria did not crave for blood or violence, and would rather not end a life that wasn't necessary. Obviously this was not the case, this rats would end up getting in her way, sooner or later, and that was unacceptable.
The daemoness moved gracefully, yet hastily between the trees. Silent, she stood with her back against a tree, before climbing up to one of the nearest branches, high enough so that she could over-see the camp. The smell of cooked boar invaded her nostrils. A male? Only one. A long haired man seemed to be talking to someone, but Victoria could hear no response, nor she could see the second individual as her view was obstructed with leafage. The male did not have the presence of a human, which made the female much more uneasy. Victoria stood as motionless as she could, avoiding any move that would make the branch creak under her, which was almost impossible. All she could distinguished were scattered and faint words, but she clearly caught the word “treasure” between some others less relevant. Maybe she could still eliminate one part of the competition.

'Twas truly one thing to search for information from people and another to follow mere rumors. In Mana's mind this whole idea was pure insanity going into the deep woods of Brazil looking for treasure.. Insane and yet amusing to the Reapers ever curious mind. Unlike his other competition the Reaper did not bother knocking door to do, he did his scouting and info gathering from the dead packs of Hunters and lost scouts. Having picked up several books of interests which spoke of a labyrinth beneath the rainforest of Brazil. Thus he wasted no time in setting his course from the mountain ranges and down into the thick and deadly forest.
Sitting bolt upright, the Reaper read the medium sized book he had gotten off of his previous meal. Letting the howling wind turn the pages for him as he read. War galloped head long through the forest following the simple mental guidance of Mana's thoughts and emotions, the Reaper would not let anything lead them astray. However making sure he got through unhindered was not cake walk! Several times he and War had a run in with several rhino's which they luckily escaped thanks to the pack of carnivors looking for a meal to eat. Another time a rampage of monkeys started pelting them both with hard fruits! In the end they did escape that too, now he was very irritated with the effects of his summon however it would work out none the less. War was his favorite mount after all. Every now and then War would slow its pace in order to test the questionable ground beneath its feet before trotting forth till it found the sink hole it expected. Taking a short route around, the Reaper plowed on with his Mare cleaving through the woods without a single rest.
Several hours had passed since he had reached the beginning of the forest and now here he sat, somewhere along the pathway to reaching the labyrinths entrance. As he finished another chapter on the folk lore of this treasure, Mana slowed his mount slowly as he approached a clearing. Stroking War's neck the horse walked slowly without a sound it's hooves landed seamlessly in the dirt as the Reaper gazed around himself. The mud pit before him held fading recent tracks along with the scent of another set of supernaturals. Peering about left and right, Mana urged the Mare forward before he reached a short up hill leading to the Light Elemental's campsite. Taking his steps in slowly, Mana was vaguely aware of the Daemoness perched high above in the tree. Having gotten a nice view of her rump from the blow, Mana dismounted the mare allowing it to slowly fade into a gray funnel of mist.
Keeping his steps silently, Mana reached the bend in which lead into Demmurals camp. Hand on the hilt of his sword and his staff pointed straight forward to jab if the enemy came closer. Crouching low, Mana held his position casting out his Aura of Fear causing the Trail Guide to slowly freeze in his seat. Within seconds sweat drops rolled down the natives face and body. This gave Mana a chance to view the other figure from a better angle, while the same time he exposed himself to the female above, Mana's bone like face light up with joy as he bounced from the bushes!
"Ah! My good friend!! What a not so big surprise to see you here!! Yeah, by the way you have an eaves dropper!!" Doing his best to make a smile, Mana gestured at the large branch the female stood upon hoping Demmural would take the hint to strike. Mean while the Reaper released the hilt of his sword allowing his left arm to relax switching the staff back to his sword hand.
"I am guessing you're here for it too neh?" Winking slowly, Mana made sure he was well out of the way of any combat that could possibly break forth between the two beings. With the right hand wrapped around the shaft of the staff the left slowly itched the tip of his tail bone. Keeping a wide open stance and an all around view point, he stayed on the look out for any other approaching creature.

~A quick Rest~
Having stumbled through mud and muck, Demmural needed to stop and find a spot to clean himself up some what. Thus he found a decently concealed area with a half rotten log where he kicked off his boots, scrapped off the mud and muck. Also taking the time to wipe away some of the mud from the bottom of his robe.
"Just wonderful...Another place in this dreaded world that I cannot stand..." Demmural muttered under his breathe as he ceased what he was doing for a quick instant. The sound of hooves pounding the earths crust gained his attention, as he snatched his staff from the log that he was setting upon, having placed it there to let it rest idly as well. After all it had been a long journey for the both of them. He quickly took the defensive side of things as he watched intently with shining eyes. They had ceased. The forest threw many sounds into Demmurals ears, but he was primarily focused upon the noises he heard in the direction he was facing. His guide that was with him, who happened to be reeled from the previous skirmish, began to sweat and froze solidly on the Indian setting position he was setting in on the ground. Demmural also felt the strong aura as well, though was hardly phased by it. There was few things that Demmural feared, one such thing was Aura of fear itself, and now it was being used upon him and his guide. He acted quickly as too cause confusion upon whomever was there, and used his innate Mirror Image ability. Twelve, yes twelve, illusions of Demmural were manifested, and each took up the same posture that he did, facing with bright shiny eyes in the same direction. They all fed off of Demmurals emotions, and thus also displayed signs of the aura cast upon him.
"Show yourself fiend..." Demmural muttered quietly as he witnessed the bushes shuffle. His free hand began to charge with lightning, the illusions did the same thing. He was ready to strike down who ever was there. As soon as the being jumped forth and revealed himself, Demmural closed his eyes and lowered his head giving a deep sigh of frustration. His illusions did the same as he did. "First the forest...And now my closest comrade...What next?" He stated in an irritated tone, though was being sarcastic, hoping his best friend would catch it. Lifting his head, Demmural displayed a smile as he re-opened his eyes and looked at Mana. His smile faded upon Mana mentioning an eaves dropper and giving a location of her. With a quick glimpse, Demmural grinned wickedly. Of course following every one of his movements, the illusions followed, speaking the same words he spoke.
"Yes in fact I am here for it...Though...not the entire thing...more or less a specific item..." Demmurals voice was lowered since he saw the eaves dropper. He then gave a sly remark to his comment about her. "Let me dispose of her with quick ease...Although I do believe she is not eaves dropping upon me...Perhaps some one else in the area...Or I could be wrong...Either way..." Demmural mentioned some one else within the area, this was a possible hypothesis due to the faint smell of roasted boar that flowed through the area, though it was faint, it was still noticeable. He slowly stood and controlled his illusions so that they spread out in the area, and would cause confusion to the female. Flinging his free hand forward, as well as his illusions doing the same, Demmural cast his lightning out from his finger tips, with enough power behind it to cause an explosion. The lightning cracked loudly as it left his finger tips as though it came straight from a thunder storm. Due to the moisture in the air from the rain forest, the lightning traveled quicker through the air.
Lightning crawled through the air just about from every direction towards the female, only leaving her a chance to move backwards, up or down. Only one lightning bolt was real, the other twelve were simply illusions thanks to Demms Mirror Image Transformation ability. And seeing as he shuffled about along with them when controlling them to move about, the female should have no idea which one was the actual Demmural. The branches and canopy also aided in this also. Each and every illusion had a clear view of the female, even Demmural did himself. Demmural was in some what of high hopes that his friend Mana would possibly join in on his carnage.

How the Sky Lights Up . . .
At the sound of a loud crack of light, Kandasa looked up in the sky with wide eyes, his focus perfect, precision completely unfaultered. He quickly lifted himself up off of the ground, lifting his spear up, slowly backing up next to Jadova. She quickly turned her body so that she was guarding Kandasa's back, turning so that the source of the previous sound crack was in front of them.
"I can taste the sent of people around us." Jadova spoke into Kandasa's mind.
He merely nodded, not wanting to speak and give away their position. Jadova slowly crept back off to the water way, letting her body slide into the water's currents and started her way to swimming. Kandasa had his spear ready, walking slowly along the waterway to keep up with Jadova, his eyes focused completely on the tree line's, waiting. Only until, he saw through the tree's, two men and a woman just beyond the clearing. Kandasa rushed up the water way, rolling between a couple of tree's, landing perfectly between the man in robes and the woman, his spear up, leveled at the man. It was only until he stopped that he noticed who it was.
"Kandasa! It's-" Jadova started, her tongue licking out from under the water.
"I know. . ." he whispered back, "If it isn't The Old Bag of Bones and Duren." Kandasa said, smirking a sardonic smile, slowly lifting himself, moving his spear from out of his friends face. It was only then that he looked back over his shoulder, at the woman, "Why are you trying to kill her? And before you even try to say anything, it was a two against one, that hardly seemed fair. So of course I had to even out the field."
Jadova was still under the water, staying in place, but close, trying to ensure that she stay perfectly hidden from eyes sight. She knew that Kandasa was trying to play the bait, incase this female would still, even when Kandasa tried to assit her, would still attempt to take on him and the group alone. Or even yet, try to run. She would be good enough to circle around and stop her retreat if she went in the opposite direction. She would surely have time to catch up to her if she tried to go any other way, because of the waterways she would have to cross.

The black haired man seemed to be alone, it seemed relaxed and unaware. As Victoria prepared to jump from the tree, down to the camp she was stopped as she heard a slight murmur coming from the opposite side of her victim's camp. If she had delayed her gaze one second longer on her prey, she wouldn't had been able to spot the lightning that moved furiously towards her position, without time to process what was happening, the daemoness leaped onto the air, dodging the attack that struck right below her, cracking the branch that she once stood on. In mid air, Victoria's bat-like wings burst from her back as if they ripped through her flesh and skin.
Victoria felt confused, other than angry. Rising high above the ground, she took the opportunity to detect her attacker identity. A elemental. What the hell was his problem? Eliminating competition as well? Wasn't that just a fun little party? Victoria descended onto the ground, facing the elemental. Victoria features had changed into something fearful, though she still held the face of young girl she did not seem as harmless, her aura of fear started to kick in. “ Who the fuck do you think you are?” Victoria snarled. Her feet were starting to move towards the male, but she stopped on her tracks as she looked to her side, only to see the same man standing only a few feet away from her. Surprised, she moved her eyes around the camp only to ascertain the many more just like him were scattered around the area. Mirror image transformation. Great. Now she had no way to know which one of them was the real one, and wasting her time fighting clones did not seem a viable option. Meanwhile, her attention focused on the reaper. Victoria sighed annoyed. It wasn't likely she stood a chance if both decided to join up against her. The female let out a subtle animal growl like a cornered beast.
The eye contact between her and her foes was cut off by the figure of the daemoness' former victim, the male stood with his back turned the female and his spear leveled up at the elemental. “If it isn't The Old Bag of Bones and Duren?” What, more friends? Lovely. An old jolly family reunion. Victoria tried to read the new-comer's behavior. Where they old drinkings fellows? Or some kind of arch-enemies? “"Why are you trying to kill her?” “That's an interesting question, isn't it ?” Victoria added even though she had a slight guess, they could also be related to the treasure, but they had no way to know that she was. Maybe they thought she was eavesdropping on them? Well, she wasn't eavesdropping, not on them anyway, but his former target didn't really need to know since he was now the only thing standing between her and a painful fight. “it was a two against one, that hardly seemed fair. So of course I had to even out the field. “ The daemoness couldn't help to let out a small “ ...w-what?” Maybe they were in fact arch-enemies, that would work out for her. Or maybe he noticed her presence before and wanted to kill her all by himself. Either way, Victoria didn't have much choice besides trusting this man, since running was completely out of the question, it was getting dark, her sight would be diminished considerably and that wasn't the perfect scenario when she had to dodge trees every second. And it wasn't like the she was dealing with human hunters that she could easily outwit by flying off to the sky. Staying a few steps back and just in case someone decided to make a sudden move on her, Victoria started to form little sparks that danced between her fingers as she examined her situation carefully. She could play the electricity game as well.

"Tick tock tick tock.. Who we are does not matter what.. We want is this.. Well.. I want to know if you truly intended on killing our friend here.. If so it is not a wise choice.." Frowning partly, Mana leaned back more on his staff showing his unwillingness to double up on some person. However if the tides changed he would move in without a second thought to the situation.
Adjusting his robes the Reaper chattered his teeth slowly mimicking the Jeopardy tone in a mocking manner. Tapping his staff here and there, Mana looked at lizard mouth and snickered at him. "Your sense of moral justice is so sweet lizard mouth.. However.. You should be happy.. We came in just in time to stop your attacker. Tis your choice on what happens depending on the story she tells." Looking from Demmural to Lizard mouth and back to the daemoness Mana remained completely calm and mostly silent as he planned out what should and would happen after this.

~Fear~
Something that he was all too familiar with came over him. And no not the crave for blood shed, or the crave for a hit of heroin from a hookah pipe, or cheese glazed mushrooms, or fine brandy and women...But the Aura of fear. He felt his heart rate increase. Sure it affected him, but he was so used to Mana's and the power itself being used upon him, that it hardly affected him. Yet it was still there. Quickly manipulating his apparition to speak for him, he spoke.
"It would be very unwise as too attack any one of my friends...or me...For if you attack one of them...then you face me..And i believe that you do not want to do that girl...Kanda....I merely wish to know what she wants...Whether she was eavesdropping on Mana and I...or planning to kill one of us....But if its a fight she wishes to bring to the table with her Aura of fear...then so be it...I will be more than happy as to slaughter another woman out of senseless joy.... So what be it thrall? Why are you here?? What do you seek? Death or Life?? His question was quick and to the point as he stared her down with each one of his illusions, not being fazed by the spear pointed at him by Kandasa. He then awaited a response.

A Potential Gain. Maybe.
Kandasa looked over his shoulder at the woman when she breathed out a small what. His brow lifted, obviously she was surprised by his helping her. He took his spear from pointing at the couple's direction, letting it stand at his side. He turned around, looking at the woman, then spoke, more pointedly to his friends,
"I bet them casting illusions and shit makes them more foe then friend right? They're not all bad once you get to know them."
He was going turn around say something to his friends, but then turned back to the Deamoness and said, "Bone Bags was calling me Lizard Mouth by the way. I'm a Draconian, which is why I know these weirdo's."
Of course, he was doing his best to not fall under the influence of her Aura of Fear, but he was failing at it every second, but he was putting on a brave face. Trying to be a tough ass. He turned back to his friends, his knees a little weak it seemed from the Aura of Fear.

Victoria listened carefully to each male and...the reaper. The small sparks around her fingers ceased slowly after the elemental mentioned they were all friends. There was no chance she was going to attack now and be successful, but she still held the Aura of Fear. " I merely wish to know what she wants... " Victoria snorted sarcastically " I really can think of nicer ways to ask, other than trying to fry me alive..."
The male in front of her introduced himself as a Draconian, making Victoria's eyes scan the area around her, searching for any signs of a dragon. This wasn't exactly good new. If the male discovered she was planning on killing him earlier, she would have to deal with a elemental, a reaper, a draconian and his dragon. It didn't paint a pretty picture. Victoria sighed frustrated, knowing that her only way out of that situation would imply her telling the truth. Well, part of it.
" I am looking for something. A treasure. And yes, I was eavesdropping on draco-boy here. " Her eyes rested again on the Draconian. " But I meant no harm. I was only hoping I could gather some more useful information." She lowered her Aura of Fear slightly, indicating she was not looking for a confrontation.

Leaning on his staff, Mana allowed his own Aura to clash with the daemoness thus dulling out the effects on both ends for either caster. As hers lowered he lowered his own, while stepping forward a few steps.
"Didn't your mother tell you Eavesdropping was bad? An don't be so quick to tell the world of our acquaintance lizard mouth. I was seriously hoping she would try something if she thought she had the chance to sway the situation." Pouting Mana was not happy at all the Lizard boy had disarmed most of the tension however why should he care so much? Had he not released War no doubt the frenzy would have set in and things would not be as they are now. With a gentle shrug, Mana looked this way and that for something to munch on.
"Anyone have any rotted flesh or possibly a bad apple with them? I am hungry.." The Reaper looked at the others slowly as funnels of smoke continued to pump out of his mouth at its own accord. Mana was listening of course but he clearly was not in the mood to hear it all out.

~Hunters~
Demmural slowly began to relax as the auras faded, also as the female daemoness explained why she was present.
"Then that makes the lot of us....I as well am in search of treasure...Possibly you could be of assistance to us.....Possibly not...It all depends on what your choice is." Demmural spoke slowly, and in response to Mana, he pulled from his small pack on his side a half spoiled apple tossing it over his way for his snack. Demmurals gaze never left the Damoness'. White and frothy, his eyes seemed haunting, though this was something he could not control. Seeing as the situation was now less heated he slowly lowered himself unto the near by log folding his arms across his chest, and slightly lowering his head to hide his face.
