“For the money, of course “ That was quite a simple answer. An answer that even David would give under different circumstances himself. The elemental felt relieved that it was this way, that the man didn't feel like inquire him more about his first sentence. It was useless to try to keep on hiding that he knew information about their negotiation, so he thought he might as well try and find out a little more, since the mysterious man didn't seemed to care much about David possessing this kind of knowledge. But now more subtly, avoiding the mention of anything that could indicate that he had a past with Loashu, only for precaution.
“ Makes sense...” He felt like question more this individual about the his business with the asian male, but that would obviously point out he was interested in knowing about the mission and Loashu himself. David ran his head, for questions he could put that were not to suspicious. “ Why would he call a wanker like you to a job like that? Why are you so special?” The same grin appeared on David's lips as he crossed his arms.

Janus watched the boy before him try to figure what to ask him next, obviously trying to hide something from him. Most definitely regarding the little slip-up he just had. Janus smiled slightly, knowing that the kid's awkwardness and rough conversational patch-work were nowhere near good enough for spy status; so this kid had to be a normal citizen. Or, as normal as a 'super-powered human' could get. The male relaxed his shoulders and hooked his thumbs in his jeans' empty belt loops and he placed the rest of his fingers, and most of his hands, into his pockets.
The male then asked Janus a question. One that made him a little wary of this kid who had obviously been listening in to his conversation with the mouse bastard. He probably knew that he was here for an assassination... So why did he still want to know more? Most people would stay away from someone like him... Oh well, can't let a question go unanswered; that leads to doubt. Janus shrugged and answered the question honestly, still holding on to his secret however. "Because the item that he wants me to steal is very powerful and special, and I have been seen as a man capable of doing the impossible. Also, my certain set of 'skills' allow me to do these forms of jobs."

The male spoke of some skills. David took a guess in his mind before asking. He was probably just like him, an elemental, but as David controlled ice, he controlled darkness and shadows. But that was just guess. “ Skills?” David indicated he wished the man developed more on this. If he was in fact a dark elemental , that would mean that he was able to do some creepy things. Even though the young boy had never met anyone like him, after finding out about his own abilities he had researched many things about people of his race, he remembered being amazed, and at the same time creeped out, by the abilities that these men and women possessed.
David was aware that his questions were far away from being discrete, and couldn't be taken as usual curiosity but the man didn't seemed to be very secretive either, and as long he didn't ask anything about David intentions and identity, it was all good. If he was in fact a member of the cult most likely this conversation wouldn't even be happening, since every member of the cult that David had the “ pleasure” to meet got to the point of secrecy that they would even deny that they were supernatural beings.

Janus glanced the boy over after he had asked him one word; 'Skills?' Obviously, this boy was interested in what Janus could do, and it seemed as though he already knew that he was one to most likely be feared. Janus could see the boy's curiosity, almost as though he knew what Janus was and was just waiting for confirmation. Hadn't he even said something earlier about his shadows being funny?
Oh well, Janus knew that this boy was neither with Loashu, nor was he a human. The one standing before him was an ice elemental, a member of his own species, albeit with a few differences. Even if Janus did not say it, this boy had probably already put two and two together, and got four. Or maybe five; Janus wasn't sure about his intelligence.
The red-eyed male sighed as he once more took off his shades, in order to show the boy his strange hues. "As you've probably guessed, I'm not human. However, I am closely related to their species; as are you, young Ice Elemental. And as you have also probably already guessed, I am a darkness elemental, one of the rare types of pokemon." Kyrian gave a slight chuckle at the lameness of his own small joke. "I'm one of the really powerful ones who could kill you in a second. Plus, some of my abilities make me out to be a pretty good thief. So I use my abilities to make a living as either a merc or a thief. That's what I meant by skills..." As he said this, the shadows from the nearby trees slowly crept towards the two males, and began to creep up to cover the ice elemental's shoes, then climb languidly up his legs; before suddenly falling back down to the ground. The crimson-eyed killer flashed a quick smile before finishing his sentence. "My powers."

David chuckled at the pokemon reference. David high-fived himself in his mind for taking a good guess about this man's powers. He flashed a smile at the information given to him, even though it didn't bring any new useful details about the job itself. David over heard already that he was to steal something ,a Dragon's Opal , but what David needed to know, was from whom? If he knew this, he could get there before this man did and steal it himself, by this way fucking up Loashu's plan. He had nothing against this stranger, he even liked him, but the will to infuriate Loashu's was much bigger.
As the male finished talking about his abilities, David noticed the shadows moving from the nearby trees directing to his feet, and going up his legs. The young man jumped, shaking of his legs like it would scare away the dark members. “ Holy -” The shadows fell to his feet, making the ice elemental relax. He took his hand to his heart before looking back at the man. “ Man... that's some creepy stuff. And I thought freezing shit was cool...”
“ The man, you know, you're stealing from? He is that rich?” David tried his luck.

Janus laughed a little at the male's reaction to his little stunt, always finding ways to amuse himself around people. He felt split between offense and pride when the boy then called him creepy and went on about his powers; prideful that the boy had recognized his powers, and complimented, yet offended at being called creepy. Janus had a slight problem with himself, as did Kyrian, over their power, and often thought of himself as a freak.
However, the boy changed the subject, as he seemed to like doing. Once again, as no surprise to Janus, it was about his job. This boy seemed to be fixated upon Loashu and his group, for some odd reason. Maybe he had some kind of fucked up past with the bastard? Whatever, not something for Janus to pry at. However, he did have to give the kid an answer; more-so, he felt compelled to actually be nice to this kindred spirit.
"I would say so, according to what I've read up on him." The male had a look in his eye, as he recollected information gathered upon his target. "He's the CEO of an international fashion company, and the Representative for Wholesale on the Hong Kong Legislative Council, so yeah.... He's pretty rich." The male rubbed the back of his neck, sensing that the boy before him had some stupid idea as the reason for asking Janus that question, so he decided to give the boy a warning. "Look kid, this job is going to be dangerous. And most likely not only security-wise. I don't know how much you overheard from Mouse-bastard and I... But don't try to get involved in this. And especially don't try to cross me, because I like ya kid... I don't want to see you get hurt by me."

David listened carefully as the man talked about the victim they were looking to strike. That was exactly the kind of information he wanted, it wouldn't be hard to find his address since he was apparently so successful, was just a matter of asking the right people. “ So he's gay?” David said, making a stereotyped remark. Knowing where he lived would allow him to go there as soon as possible and steal the Dragon thingy before this man.
David grin vanished as the dark elemental made his warning. It made David rethink about his plan, he hadn't thought about security, and a guy of that caliber wouldn't be lacking it. David had breaked into many places before but they weren't exactly highly secured, but the young elemental was confident about his skills. Probably too confident. The man proceed then to surprise David, telling to not cross his way, that he liked him and didn't wish to have to hurt him. David felt moved by this, and didn't want to cross his way either. He wasn't planning to, that's why he wanted to go as soon as possible, to avoid finding him again on unwanted circumstances . “ Don't worry, man, I'm not stupid. I'm not up for this kind of thing, but I appreciate the concern.” He lied. He thought it would be a good way to show he wasn't against this guy was tell him his name, since he was almost sure that he wasn't one of the cult. “ I'm David, by the way.” He said stretching his hand out to him.

Janus laughed a little at the boy's innocence before stretching his hand out to clasp the boy's and shake it. "The name's Janus." He then let go of the hand and smiled down at the boy, certain that he was planning something incredibly foolish. However, Janus had already delivered his warning, so what the boy did now was of no consequence to him.
What Janus had to do now, was collect more research upon his current mission. And so, he decided that he would start by trying to learn more about what he was intending to steal. The quickest way to do that would be to go back to the hotel and see if Tiberius' books had anything regarding this Dragon's Opal.
The crimson-eyed male put his shades back on before flashing the young male a quick smile. "Don't do anything stupid, David. Take care." He would take a step back, his foot sinking into the shadows behind him as though they were liquid. The male spread out his arms and let his whole body fall backwards into the shadow, the smile still upon his lips as he disappeared into the darkness.
The next time the male became visible was when he suddenly popped out of the wall in his dark hotel room, intent on studying for his current objective.

Before the male emerged into shadows and left, he made his final warning to David with a quick smile. David returned it and observed as the the dark elemental made use of his skill, that was indeed creepy. He waited till he was sure that Janus was gone, thought he was really never too sure since he could just be creepin' in some tree shadow or something. David shrugged that feeling off and started thinking. Where could he learn where the rich guy lived? What kind of person would know about the intrigues of that town? As David thought he removed his pack of cigarettes out of his pocket. He hadn't smoke in hours, and as soon he looked at the package he remembered why : he didn't have any. Frustrated he threw the empty pack over his shoulder, looking around for a place to buy some, finding a small stationery near by.
He entered the small shop, finding a little middle aged woman behind the counter chatting with another female client. He couldn't understand what they were saying, but David could easily tell they were gossiping, by their tone and posture. He guessed that living in a small part of a town, were old people find their daily excitement in gossiping had something to do with it. But then it occurred to him! They were the perfect people to ask, they knew everything about everyone. Surely they could help, if only David knew how to talk chinese.
Making his way to the counter, he smiled at the little woman who stopped chatting to answer him, she spoke something to him and David shook his head. “ Oh, you not Chinese? Ah it's okay son. You englishman then? What you want?” David left a smile come across his face. That was his lucky day. “ A pack of cigarettes please. Cloudy today isn't it?” David decided to start his conversation casually, and soon enough he had the woman bending over the balcony talking shit about Vincent Fang Kang . “Do you know what I hear? I hear he's been having, you know, sex with another man. He bring the boy to his house and do unholy things. Bah, this people should be embarrassed...” “ God hear you. It's not natural...They should be punished. This house of his, where is it? Is it very big?” “ Big, yes! It's behind the cemetery, big house, I say they do satanic things there, with the bodies that are in the cemetery.” David continued agreeing with the woman with wild imagination. “ I wouldn't be surprised.” David took this opportunity to say goodbye, leaving the store, lighting up a fag and start walking in graveyard direction.

Janus yawned and stretched out his legs, beginning to feel them cramping up from sitting cross-legged on the bed for so long. So far he had discovered very little about this Dragon's Opal that he was supposed to be stealing. It was a small multi-colored opal that had been used by many people of power over the years, including ancient warlords, highly-powerful supernaturals, and even fanatic cults trying to cultivate its power for their warped purposes. Guess Loashu goes in the last group, Janus thought to himself.
He was busy wondering what kind of power the group that had hired him was planning to get from the stone, and what they planned to do with it. Probably the usual "change the corrupted world" thing. Oh well, not like they'd get far with it; the seriously psycho bad guys never did. While imagining the multiple powers that this stone could bring him, he was interrupted by the hotel's guest service. A slightly nervous Asian youth, probably only 18 or 19, knocked on the door to check up on Janus. "Ni shenti hao ma?" The boy instantly realized his rookie mistake and corrected himself in a slow, and heavily accented English, "I sorry... I mean, how you?" Janus smiled at the youth's slip-up and answered him in a like-wise manner. "Wo henhao - I'm fine... Uhhh..." Janus looked to the boy's name tag, "Soulong. Huh? A Cantonese name? That's unusual." The male blushed a little at the compliment, probably used to being picked on or rejected due to his odd name (Vengeful Dragon), and bowed before leaving to check on other guests.
The young attendant reminded Janus of the boy he had met earlier, either through his nervous fidgeting or due to his awkwardness. David! That was his name! Janus wondered if he was busy trying to find his way to Kang Fang's home right now, and he was actually a little worried about the kid's well-being. Well, Kyrian had to go that way anyway, so why not just drop in on the kid?
If his timing was right, as it usually was, the kid would probably be heading towards the house right now; most likely going through the graveyard. That was probably the most suspicious route towards the house, although it was also the most overlooked. Janus sighed as he walked to the room's bathroom and smiled into its dark interior. If the kid was in the graveyard, that would mean that he was intent on trying to do something to annoy Janus, so the easy solution was to let the kid in on the mission. The crimson-eyed male stepped into the shadows of the bathroom floor and once again transported through the world of darkness in order to reach his destination. He emerged from the shadows behind some old tombstone in the graveyard close to Kang Fang's residence and looked up at the place he was going to infiltrate, already knowing that Kang Fang was sick now with a cold, and on bedrest.

David was sat on top of tombstone smoking a last cigaret before preparing himself to his mission. The walk had been longer than he expected, so a little rest before the big show was deserved. As he took the little cylinder to his lips he thought about Loashu, once again, why would he want a piece of jewelry? It wasn't like the cult wasn't rich enough, and the asian guy had his own pile of money that couldn't be considered small. He let the smoke escape from his lips. It occurred to the young elemental that, most likely it wasn't just jewelry, it should have some kind of power, and for it to be something that Loashu desired, it was something strong.
David was so caught in his thoughts, that he didn't notice the shadows starting to gather right next to him. He was only surprised when the figure of a man emerged to his right, making David almost loose his balance and fall of the tombstone. It was Janus. “ Shit, man. Jesus. I was about to shit myself... Don't do that!” He then realized he was the last person he wanted to see. “ Before you start taking wrong conclusions, I'm not here to do anything, I was not going to enter there! Uhm, this is just a happy coincidence. I was just taking a stroll...” The young elemental looked around, realizing that was the worst excuse ever. “... In a graveyard...” David started to curse himself in his head. “ Who the fuck takes a stroll in a graveyard?

Janus looked up as he recognized the scent of cigarette, and instantly saw both the source of the odor and what he had came here in hopes of finding; David. The boy was sitting on a tombstone, smoking, obviously up to no good as Janus had thought.
Janus let out a small chuckle as the boy nearly fell off of the tombstone in surprise. As expected, he tried to come up with some lie as to the reason he was in the graveyard, and was horribly failing at it. Janus sighed at the male's excuse, knowing that he wasn't the type to just enjoy a graveyard. He eyed the boy before him, wondering whether or not he should say what he was about to. "Come up with a better lie next time, kiddo. And don't worry, I knew you wouldn't be able to stay out of it. Right now, I just want to know why you're so intent on being a dumb ass."

“ I guess I can't help it, It's part of me. Being a dumb ass.” David flashed a smile, trying to avoid the real intention of that question. After recovering from the dark elemental's sudden appearance he took the cylinder again to his lips, holding the smoke inside of him. He'd love to be able to perform that kind of teleportation, not to mention it would be a good way to penetrate the house. His hopes were now exponentially low, though. .. Three things could be about to happen : David was still going to try enter the house, the male wouldn't allow him and they would start a fight that, even if David was successful, would surely leave him in a condition were he would be to weak too break in to a high-secured house. Or, Janus would just teleport inside the house leaving David behind making this a unfair race. Or, they could just form some kind of team and do this peacefully, working out some kind of deal. Though the last option seemed unlikely.
David threw the cigarette on the floor, stomping on it and expelling the fume one last time. “ Isn't this the part were I try to go in there, and you bust my teeth out?” David chuckled lightly, throwing his hands onto his pockets.

Janus laughed a little as the boy tried to worm his way out of the question. He seemed to have recomposed himself after the initial shock of seeing Janus and was once again puffing away on his cancer-stick. He seemed to be lost in thought while looking at the crimson-eyed male. Janus felt a little uncomfortable until he saw the calculation going on in David's eyes; the boy was weighing his options. He obviously knew there were multiple ways to go through with this, and was trying to find the most beneficial one.
He seemed to be dismissing quite a few of his ideas, and Janus could feel the boy tense slightly as he prepared to ask a question. The boy's way of proposing his idea of the situation came out calmly, yet it was apparent that he had no clue what was about to happen now. Janus let out a small chuckle as well at the boy halfway-serious joke. "No, David. This is the part where you tell me what past you have with Leoshu. Neither of us is leaving this cemetery until either you tell me, or we're buried here," The male let out a small sigh as he glanced to the house. "And I hope you tell me quickly because, depending on your answer, we're bout about to be very busy."

There's no way no to escape it now. The man couldn't had been more precise, and there was no way around it. He demanded to know about David's past with Loashu. The young elemental didn't want to share his past with Janus, it wasn't personal, but he was never the type of sit-down-and-open-up-to-his-feelings-kind-of-person. Yet, he sighed and decided to begin talking. “ Fine... I only found out, about my... gift, if you'd like to call it that, a couple of years ago. So naturally, I started researching about the supernatural world and found out about Loashu's group. Let's just say that I didn't exactly become a loved person among those people, because of many reasons...” David avoided getting into details, and tried to be as clear as possible.
“ A group of members, Loashu being one of them, one night decided to set me up for a trap. I'll end up by saying that I don't know if they were trying to kill me, or just fuck me up really bad, but they succeeded on that last one.” David felt the anger filling up his body, closed his eyes and continued. “ When I recovered, I had the pleasure to encounter one of them alone, and made sure he'd never walk again... You'd guess that the group is very protective of their members, and weren't very pleased with me. In the last year, I've been traveling, kind of avoiding them, and I hadn't had any encounters with any of the members, until I saw Loashu.”
David breathed, rotating his neck making it crack. “ I guess I don't need to explain why I want to fuck up Loashu's plan.” He flashed a quick smile, hoping that knowing of his story the man would comprehensive enough to not make his task harder when trying to achieve his goal.
