Felix came to a slow stop, at the edge of the forest. His massive avian frame was heavy, despite being a bird. The incredible size eagle landed with little grace, just at the treeline. His eyes took in a sight he loathed without reserve.
Deforestation.
Machines and man, combined into an unholy destructive union killing acres upon acres of forest for their own personal greed. It had irked him for years. But now...he could do something about it.
The moon was high overhead, giving the soft, pale light onto the scene. The stardust of the galaxy above only adding to the beauty of it all. The eagle's eyes honed in for a moment before he began to shift back.
His body snapped and cracked as bones altered their form. Blood began to pour out of his still re-forming nose. He groaned as the pain ripped through him without mercy.
It's worse than it was before....
The pain was many times more painful than it use to be. He was unsure as to why, but things that never use to hurt were getting increasingly difficult to do.
But he maintained relative silence, groans of pain aside. His human form reshaped after a few moments.
He looked up and at the hollow husks of metal. He sighed and moved to them slowly, picked up handfulls of dirt and ungracefully pouring them into the gas tanks, effectively ensuring they would never run properly again.
He paused at the third one, caught at an odd angle, due to it's height and placement of the gas tank. He slowly looked over his shoulder to meet the eyes of the person who had caught him.
He said nothing, knowing fully well he did not understand the language. He merely needed to know how many he was up against.

Ciel looked at the man blinking a few times, she was rather shocked by what she had just seen. She looked at him then at what he had just done, she started to speak trying a few different languages,
Her voice was sweet, and she seemed genuinely confused, but she would wait to see what language he replied in before she would ask him the next question. Her eyes never left the man, her hand was in her jacket, unannounced on a .9mm handgun. She looked at him from behind green eyes and silver hair. Her lips red, she wore a tight pair of jeans, tennis shoes, a tank top and a hoodie. She scratched the top of her head and sighed.
Felix lifted his shoulder to hide the majority of his face. Only his emerald eyes gleaming in the night met the woman's own. He reached into his grey, tattered hoodie and pulled out a white, very feminine looking mask. His tight grip on the soil loosened, and he let pour the rest of the sediment into the gas tank, killing yet another machine that would rape the earth of her resources.
"Why not?"
He dropped to the ground, relatively uncaring of the woman. She was very non-threatening, and he didn't care much. He only had a little time before he had to be back to his camp.
He moved casually to the next one, repeating the process, making sure to get at least three or four handfulls of dirt.
"You don't look like you are from around here. What are you doing in a place like this....dressed like that?
He turned and looked at the woman, regarding her attire which was not meant for the heat. Then he realized he was dressed in a very similar way. He glanced down momentarily and shrugged, continuing with his work while waiting for an answer.

Ciel looked at him and shrugged not really having an answer for the 'why not?' She watched him for a while. She looked down at her clothes, "Wandering the world. Looking for things to do." She replied licking her dried red lips. She tilted her head, "Are you a werebeast?" She asked purely out of curiousity she didn't know if it was rude or not to talk about this but she wanted to know since she'd watched him land, a bird that large was kind of easy to notice, and then it turns into man? Not normal. She walked closer to him. She looked him over closely wondering about the mask but she shrugged, she didn't care, if someone saw her she'd just run and change her face, it was fairly easy. She kept her eyes on him, but blinked them blue. It was always easier to see in the dark with blue eyes. She doubted he would notice it was such a small change.
Felix dropped down from the final machine as she asked the question. His foot caught a small rock and he tripped right as she asked, almost in a comic fashion. He faceplanted, and with so doing, his mysterious demeanor was shattered. He wiped off the mask and stood.
Just in time too, he figured to see her blink from jade green to baby blue eyes. He narrowed his eyes behind his mask.
"No such thing as monsters."
He smiled and pulled seeds from his hands and threw them into the air, scattering them to the winds. They spread a fairly good area, catching a strong breeze.
He smiled and lifted his hands, causing the trees to grow with rapid and unwavering speed to full maturity. A massive thicket of at least one hundred trees shot up all around them, unegulfing the metal death that had plagued them. He smiled from behind his mask and looked at the woman as vines began to droop down from the trees, restoring a look of a pristine forest. (Minus the ground level of still plain soil)
He looked back at the woman and grabbed one of the vines, pulling himself up with relative ease, lifting himself to a lower-hanging branch.
"No such thing as monsters...just liars and thieves."

Ciel watched a little bit shocked as the man moved around. She watched the trees grow out of nothing. This confused her, "I didn't ask about Monsters, I asked about werebeasts... and me? I'm a liar." She replied. She sighed and clicked her tongue before deciding to follow him, it was pretty easier for her to climb. She shrugged, "I'm a shapeshifter." She said nonchantly again not noticing it if was against some rule. She brushed her hair out of her face as she got onto the branch, "So what are you? Thief or Liar? ... and are you a werebeast, I don't know anything else that can change into an animal like that." She replied. She chewed on her pretty red lips. Her blue eyes watching him intently. She looked around to make sure the sun wasn't coming up, it got here when that blasted thing came up and she wanted to be inside or at least anywhere out of the sun.
Who was this woman who spoke so freely of these things? Was she unaware of the danger? Did she not know how threatening it could be for her or him if someone heard?
He shrugged. There was no one around right now. But she had seen him shift. No hiding it. Though...he could pretend he was one of these "werebeasts" she kept mentioning. It would be interesting to see.
He shrugged and spun on the vine, inverting himself, so he was face to mask with the woman, hanging only by his feet and legs from the vines around him. His hands dangled beside her lazily, almost as if they were dead.
"I only tell lies. Which makes the previous statement a bit of a paradox. I'm a liar. And a theif."
He held up his hand, in it, the gun she had been palming prior to her trying to climb up with him. She had let go of it to climb up. He smiled and pulled the thing away quickly, keeping his mask right on her face.
About his waist he clicked the safety on, emptied the chamber, and tossed the gun away with practiced ease. His eyes bored into the woman's with absolute precision.
"Shifter eh?.....shift it."
His voice was taunting, daring the woman to alter her form.
His nose began to bleed again, pooling in the mask. He cursed and pulled himself back up, removing the mask from his face and pinching off the nose, attempting to stave off the flow of liquid ruby.

Ciel looked at him as he came down in her face, well that made her feel uncomfortable. She would have fell down if she wasn't so good at keeping her balance, once he grabbed her gun and emptied it she growled. "That wasn't yours. Nor was it nice." She said. He'd dared her to shift. She would have taken a step away from him but that seemed like it would have ended in a broken bone or something. She let out a brief sigh. She shrugged, "Are you alright?" She asked watching his nose bleed. She looked around and making sure no one was around, she turned into a mirror perfect copy of the man in front of her, it hurt a bit as her flesh and bones had to rearrange themselves but it worked she smiled and smirked, "Better?" She asked. Before going back to the girl she had been. She brushed her hair out of her delicate looking face, she'd accidently became Demetria instead of Ciel. Demetria looked almost identical except for the tips of her hair weren't blue, and she was smaller, she was skinny, but didn't have the toning that Ciel did.
The man smiled and shifted his own form. His becoming one of a large simian, a monkey of nearly human size. A chimp.
His bones cracked and snapped, his skin erupted with tufts of fur, his face changed and his clothes vanished. He smiled the way only chimps can and jumped from one tree to another.
He gripped the vines now with ease and hung, his legs in his feet, and one arm holding another. He grinned.
"Monkey see, monkey do! Monkey make a fool of you!
He contorted his body and spun around, throwing himself at the woman's direction, landing on a tree right next to her. His voice, a mere imitation. The voice trick he had learned some time ago. The chimp spun around on the tree, taking full advantage of the feet it now had. He swiped at the woman's hair playfully.
"You have too many faces to remember. Getting mixed up on the first meeting. Tut. Tut."
He swatted her, right between the eyes on the forehead. It was with his forefinger and middle finger. More of a poke than anything, but a solid thump all the same. He grinned and rose higher on the tree, teasing the woman. Daring her to follow.
He slapped his belly and made a mocking face at her, sticking his tongue out before chortling at his own immaturity.
Another shifter....it could be a great deal of fun...if he did it right.

Ciel watched the man rather shocked when he become a chimp. She arched a brow, thank the gods she wasn't such a terrible mess of emotions right now or she would have screamed possibly fainted. She heard it talk and she clicked her tongue, "A fool of me..." She repeats, then it dawned on her, "You're a shifter!" She said.
You have too many faces to remember. Getting mixed up on the first meeting. Tut. Tut."
Ciel laughed gently at this, it was true she had to many faces, she swiped at the chimps hand as he swiped at her hair, "Wait... we can change into animals?!" She asked rather shocked by this revelation. She sat back on the tree watching him carefully trying to study how he did it. She'd never met another shifter before and him like her had no idea what they were doing. "Wh-what all can we turn into?" She asks curious and slightly excited.
The chimp shrugged, honestly unsure of how to react to that. He moved up to a branch and allowed himself to shift back to his human form. The transformation was painful, but was like a stretch. It allowed his body to relax into his normal shape.
He looked down at her, shaking out the mask and replacing it on his face. He looked down on her with a curious look.
"Anmals and people. I dunno. Try to shift into something. Just imagine it in your mind. Do it...Also, a note, the bigger or smaller it is, the worse it is gonna hurt."
He looked down at the woman, hoping she'd do something interesting for a transformation. He himself, was unsure of the limits, and was not quite willing to test them until he met someone who had more knowledge than he on the subject. He had a vague idea he could also do thing that were non-living, but that was something he was not willing to play with just yet.
He always figured it was more like a fish, pretending to be a rock. It was still a living, breathing thing, but it look and felt like a stone. He was not entirely sure about it. He did not want to try it out just yet. Maybe when he had perfected the ability to shift. Maybe when it hurt less...

She concentrated wondering what she could turn into. It was hard at first she wanted something small. Unfortunately what popped into her head was a small sparrow. Pain ripped through her body, her bones could be heard rearranging themselves as she cried out and gasped, why the hell would shifters do this to themselves. She doubled over her body becoming smaller an smaller. She almost puked with the amount of pain this was causing. As she crumpled in on herself falling out of the tree, what lay on ground below is no longer Ciel but a pain writhed sparrow black in color with golden eyes. The bird didn't make an attempt to get up it just laid on the ground twitching every now and again. She didn't have the energy or motivation to turn back into the human form, so she just stayed there. She closed her eyes the birds chest heaving up and down from exhaustion, well she had been warned.
He whispered to himself. He let his body begin to morph again. The mask actually becoming part of him, turning into a white fur. His body snapped and bent. Fur began to sprout everywhere. His spine elongated, becoming a long, stroking thing. Fingers became claws. Hands became paws.
He exhaled as the sharp burning ripping through him as the jaguar form became to replace him. The cat smiled and jumped from branch to branch silently. Felix made his way to the bottom with short time as the sparrow twitched.
He landed, both paws slamming right around the little thing as it brought the massive feline frame down around it.
He hovered over the thing, his hot breath washing over the little bird. With a sick humor he extended a tongue and licked the big, ruffling it's feathers.
"Hey little birdie. Don'tcha know it's dangerous out here for something so small?"
His voice trick was different this time, a sort of a slick rumble. It was everything a cat would sound like and more. HIs emerald eye shimmered as he used his paws as a large sort of cage, keeping the sparrow between his face and his claws.

Well wasn't this a change. She watched the man turn into a jaguar and pounce on her. She closed her eyes tight for a moment. She used her own voice trick to mimic her own voice, "H-hey now... not nice!" She said before trying to concentrate back on her human shape. Pain ripped and tore it's way through her body once more, she felt like she couldn't breath at all, her eyes rolled into the back of her head only for a split moment before she looked at him, she had long blonde hair, and green eyes. She looked at him and realized she'd only made it so this huge cat's paw was on her chest. She was afraid to hurt the other so close to them meeting but at the same time, she'd just gone through two very painful transformations. She pressed her feet against the jaguars stomach, "Get off of me please." She said looking up at him with those green eyes. "Or else."
The placement of his paws didn't phase him. His aversion to people only aided him in having an aversion to any sexual desire granted to most people his age.
His claws dug in slightly as the woman pushed her feet into his stomach. She was really overestimating her strength in comparison to the size of a fully grown jungle cat.
His face leaned in as his spots shimmered and spread out like a wave, turning the thing into a shadow of the night. Green eyes and white teeth alone gleamed in the darkness now.
"And if I don't...? What if I decided to end you right here?
It was a tease. But he also knew that he probably sounded like he was gonna kill her. Not quite how he wanted to appear, so to add a splash of childness to it, he drew his rough tongue across her face, from chin to eye.
A wicked grin spread across the feline maw as he moved his paws up slightly, pinning not her chest now, but her shoulders. He was putting all of his weight on keeping the female pinned beneath him. Not out of anger. Or sexual drive.
This was curiosity. He wanted to see what she could do.
His eyes flashed with intensity as they bore into hers, trying to tear apart the windows, and grasp directly at her soul.
