Orpheus walked the streets of Tokyo, looking around and enjoying the sight of the people there. This was probably one of his most favorite places in the world. He had only been here once or twice in the past, and never really that long before. So he had decided to come again and visit, perhaps a bit longer. He was thinking about a week or so this time around. He was hoping to meet some interesting new people, make some friends maybe, and just have a good time in general.
He walked down a street, glancing around at the people. From time to time he would sigh deeply. He wished he had somebody to talk to and spend time with. He missed that girl from Verona, Italy. Bless had been her name. She had been very pretty and amazing. She also had smelled so sweet as well. He couldn't believe he had left her. But a vampyre didn't hang around humans to long. To grow attached was to sign their death warrant. Hunters always came looking. If a human was there, they would use her as bait to draw him out.
He stopped in front of a little eating place, and stepped in. It was old school, where you could see the cooks cooking feverishly behind their stoves. He sat down and called out, asking for something to eat with noodles and sat patiently, watching the people walk by outside. When a short pretty asian girl set his food down he thanked her and picked up a set of chop sticks and began to eat slowly, continuing to watch the passing crowd. He honestly didn't know what or who he was looking for. Just something had felt like he should be since he had gotten here. As if he should remember somebody, or go see them.

Bayley had taken a quick and solo vacation before her wife got here. Toyko was nice this time of year. Or so, she'd heard. Hence the vacation. The room she'd booked had an amazing veiw, and she couldn't wait to get out and discovered how Toyko ran when the lights went out. Dressed in her usual attire, blue jeans and a black shirt, she'd pushed her sleeves up so her arm tattoos were visible.
After stepping outside the hotel, she lit a cigarette, and looked up and down the street, as if trying to pick a way to pave. She decided on right, and took in the shops, and filed them away like neat file cabinets in her head. She usually had names and faces down pretty well. She stopped at the end of the street, and heard the distinct growl of her stomach. Crushing her smoke under her shoe, she stepped in, noting with satisfaction that you could see the chefs, the food, the flurry of activity. She loved it all.
She stood at the door for another moment, deciding where to sit. And as she passed a certian table, something inside of her set of the alarm. She knew there was a vampyre in the building. She'd been hunting too long to not recognize the cold that only vampyres pumped off. But she really hadn't come to Toyko to fight with anyone. Though, Bayley was never known to turn down a fight. She kept her eyes on the table for another moment, then turned to the chefs, and watched the food fry and boil before deciding what she wanted. She ordered a beer, and sat drinking it as she waited for the food to be served. Now, this was a weird sight, and somethine her wife had only ever seen. Bayley figured since she was in Toyko, it wouldn't hurt her prized rep.
She pulled out a book.
Bayley loved to read, espically poems and stories written in the 1800, and 1900s. Today, she was all for Mr. Poe's stories, and started her meal, and book, with the classic tale of "The Raven". She loved the flow of the poem, and considering what she did for a living, her night job, not her day keep-food-on-the-table job, it seemed to her like the perfect book. But all the while, Bayley couldn't shake the feeling that someone in this building was a vamprye. And that just bugged her.
Orpheus watched the female walking into the room. He sniffed slightly, and recoiled minutely. Death surrounded the female, and the scent of another female. A hunter then, and lesbian. No smell of a man was upon her. He furrowed his eyebrows, watching her sit down and order food. A book was pulled out and he silently released the breath he had been holding. So the hunter wasn't here after him. That was a relief. Especially as he had not done anything to warrant being hunted for any reason. He had never killed anybody.
He sighed and finished his food fairly quickly. He wasn't wanting to stay in the presence of a hunter for very long, even if she wasn't after him. He was here for peace and relaxation, and would never get it if the hunter was around. He walked to the counter, eyeing the girl and the book she was reading. Out of couriosity, he glanced at the upper left hand of the right page, smiling as he saw Edgar Alan Poe's name. He sighed, and laid a couple bills upon the counter.
He turned and walked towards the door. Pausing, he glanced back at the hunter, then continued walking on his way. He glanced up at the dark sky, wondering when it would be light again. He had forgotten his watch for this trip. A completely stupid thing to do, one he planned upon remedying as soon as he got home. He would never leave the house with out it again. Now he could only estimate the time from the sky, which wasn't very accurate as the bright lights of Tokyo blocked some of the even brightest of stars out of the sky.

As the vampyre came closer to her, she glanced up to get a better look at his face. She smirked. Cute, she supposed, if she was into men. Cute, she thought, but a dangerous creature nonetheless. However, Bayley wasn't the type to pick a fight for no reason. She loved to fight, yes, but not without a good reason
After a few more beers, and a good meal, she paid, and tipped the little waitress, closed the book, and walked calmly back out into the street. Bayley eyed the street, half wondering where the vampyre had gone, half wondering where she could go and get loaded. For a lean woman, it took alot to get Bayley drunk. She took a quick look up and down the street, and saw a place where it looked to be a good time. Bayley wasn't exactly a people person, but she didn't mind if they were around her. Just so long as they didn't talk to her.
Sadly, after stepping into the bar, she realized that wouldn't be possible. Fine, she thought, she'd just get a beer or two, ignore the men and woman attempting to surround her, espically since she would probably wind up walking out with one of the girls if she wasn't careful. She slid her thumb over her wedding ring to remind herself she was indeed married.
Looking around, she spotted a nice dark corner where nobody really was, and that, she noted, was perfect for her. She grabbed a beer and a shot of something called "The Polar Bear". Whatever it was, she decided, it was damn good. She slid into the table, and found it was a perfect spot for people, or in her case, vampyre watching. Not that she was exactly itching for a fight, but hey, she always had her weapons, and a permit for every single one of them. She'd been stopped a time or two by cops for carrying weapons, but once she showed them the permits, they usually left her alone. But as she watched the floor, she vaguely wondered what the vampyre was up to...and who he was.
Orpheus wandered around, then suddenly stopped, staring across the road. There she was again. The same huntress, walking into a bar. He looked both ways and quickly crossed the street. He looked at the front door and shook his head. Entering that way was almost suicide. The huntress would spot him instantly for sure and know he was there. He stepped around the corner of the building, walking down the alley way untill he spotted the fire escape. It was rusted up bad, and the ladder broken six feet up. Glancing around to make certain nobody was looking, he leap up and grabbed the nearest rung. He hauled himself up, finally stepping onto the nearest platform. He slipped into the fire exit, the old rusted alarm failing to sound for which he was extremely grateful for.
Making his way out along a catwalk used to do maintenance work, he looked down and scanned the crowds, looking for the huntress. He finally spotted her and made his way towards her. He leap over the flimsy railing of the catwalk, dropping the ten feet to the ground. His knees bent slightly, taking the brunt of the fall and he straightened. He walked up beside the huntress as she stared at the floor, leaning against the wall.
"Hello, Ma'am. I saw you earlier. In the small Japanese restaurant. You are a hunter, are you not? I can smell the death upon you. But that does not matter and is not the point. I would like to know though....are you following me? Because I have seen you around a lot lately this evening."

She had felt him as he got closer to her, and she smirked when he spoke. Maybe she had been wondering who he was, but following him? RIGHT! She picked up her drink, and leaned back. She toyed with the little straw in her drink before she glanced in his direction, and her eyes walked the dance floor before she spoke.
"Please, don't flatter yourself. Am I a hunter? Yes. Am I following you? No. but if I find out you've been killing people, then I'll be following you. Until then, I just wanted to get drunk once more before my wife gives birth to our baby."
She took a drink, and looked up at him. Not just cute, she realized, he could definitively be called handsome. By a straight, or even bi-sexual woman. She let out a little breath, and lit another cigarette.
"However, if you wanted to sit down and have a nice civilized conversation, feel free."
After saying this, she extended a hand to the empty seat across from her, her green eyes meeting his. Bayley was usually a good judge of character, and somewhere in her gut told her that though he may be a vampire, he wasn't...a dangerous one.

(Bayley dear, I know you can role play exceptionally well. I have read all of your posts upon this sight. But I must inform you that this post does not meet the minimum word limit of one hundred and fifty (150). It is only one hundred and thirty seven (137) words long. That means you are thirteen words short of the minimum.
Please fix this, I know you can dear. You role play is very good and detailed, so fixing this should be no problem. Perhaps you where tired or not all together here for this post. Don't feel ashamed, we have all done it before. Feel free to continue the role play as soon as you fix it. Thank you, Bayley.)

(I modified it, and I hope it's better. If it still isn't long enough, please let me know. It was just a quick post, as I had a birthday party to get to, and I hope it now meets requirements. )
Chuckling softly, he moved and slid into the seat across from her. Looking her up and down he smiled. Although she was far different from Bless, she still reminded him of her and it brought warm feelings to his heart. Listening to her words he sighed and shook his head. She thought all vampyres killed people. She was really wrong. Most vampyres didn't kill anybody in fact. If they did it would draw far to much attention upon themselves, and they would end up getting hunted down. Hence, the bad publicity. People only heard about the vampyres who killed. Not the ones you feed to live only. He parted his lips and spoke softly.
"I don't kill people. If you really must know, I put them to sleep, use a pocket knife to make an incision, and drink that way. Afterwards, the wound heals and there is no problem. I don't even drink much, because I would hate for them to grow to weak from my feedings." He looked around the bar, sighing as he knew he couldn't get drunk even if he wanted to. Alcohol just didn't affect vampryes the same way as humans. Such a shame really. He remembered how good it was to be drunk or high. Maybe not the best thing in the world, but it was definitely a good feeling. Or at least so he remembered from his memory.

Bayley leaned back, drink in hand, and crossed her ankles while she listened. As she did, she watched his movements, his eyes, his body. Not in a sexual way...(obviously), but just to get the general gist of the vampyre.
"I didn't say you did kill people. I said if I found out you were killing people, we'd have an issue. As you don't, no issue. You have an..interesting method, I must say"
She took a drag off her cigarette, and scanned the bar again. Her eyes landed on a couple of little blond girls, of the very hot variety, and a slow smile spread on her face. Hey, just because she was chained to the porch, doesn't mean she can't bark at the cars. She looked for another moment, and then turned back to the vampyre whose name, she realized, she didn't know.
"So," She began, and her eyebrow raised slightly."What do they call you?'
Bayley took a drag of her smoke, finished her drink, and held the glass up for another. She waited till there was another on in her hand, and gave the vamp a little wave to signal him to order something if he chose. She sipped her drink as he did, or didn't. She really didn't care. This vampyre interested her though. He wasn't like other vampyres she'd seen, met..or killed for that matter. Her gaze wandered back to the blondes on the floor, though she was fully listening to everything he was saying. She wasn't just tracking hot blondes, her gaze was also looking for vampyres in this...bar in Toyko. Which simply seemed strange in her mind. Whatever.
She looked back at him, smiled just a tiny tiny bit, and awaited his answer.
Eyeing the huntress, the male waved the waitress away. He didn't drink often, and when he did it was not going to be amidst so many females he did not know. Temptation was not a good thing to place upon a vampyre. Besides, he was married now. And he simply didn't want any other or anything to come between his beloved Bless and himself.
"My methods are mostly based upon my past and my desire to remain alive against those who would wish to see my dead. Ones such as yourself. However, as you seem to have no issue with me upon the grounds I do not kill to feed, my name is Orpheus." He followed her gaze towards the two blondes across the bar, and he shook his head. They certainly where acting wild. Perhaps...to wild.
Suddenly, he jerked up out of his seat and his head whipped around. What was that? A noise in the street? A breaking of glass? He reached out, grasping the collar of the huntress' shirt and jerked her from her seat across the table. He flung himself backwards out of the way as the front window exploded in a shower of glass, and at least half a dozen black throwing stars slammed into the table and benches where the two had been sitting. A dark form bolted from behind a car outside whose windows had been smashed out.
Snarling, Orpheus jerked himself off the ground, his fangs actually baring for a split second before he remembered he was in a public place. He helped the female hunter up from the ground, glancing around. The blonde's where gone. Along with three human men. He looked at Bayley, his eyes narrowing.
"It seems you found your vampryes, and your fight. You like to pick them difficult don't you? Ninja vampryes....how quaint." He stopped speaking, glancing around....if they knew he was here...then they knew where he was staying. If they knew that...then if Bless showed up....he grunted and looked at the huntress. He shouted two words, before he was off running out the door.

He had told her where he was staying, she had promised when she was done with her interview at the hospital in Italy she would come visit. It was a few days earlier then she was expected, but the interview had gone well she thought. The front desk had given her a key after proper identification, and she made her way to the room. In the elevator she was accompanied by two men in all black. She smiled sweetly to them, but noted something was off about them. The elevator dinged as it reached the fifth floor and she stepped out followed by the men. She read the numbers on the doors as she walked, adjusting her large purse that had her things in it. She stopped at the door putting the key in and opening the door as the men walked past her an bid her a good day. She shook her head and laughed at herself being so paranoid, shutting the door behind her as she entered the dark room. She figured Orpheus would be out, it was night time, she would wait here for him to return. What she didn't expect as her hands searched the wall for the lightswitch was for a cold hand to wrap around her mouth yanking her back against something hard. She screamed into the hand and kicked off with her feet pushing against the person with all her might, the hand coming from from her mouth as the being was knocked back into the wall the light switch flicking on. She looked wide eyed at the man who had attempt to capture her. Pale skin, undeniably handsome, strong. Vampyre. She spun and made a bolt for the door, the man reaching out and grabbing her arm, spinning her around. She yelled and swung her bag, hitting him in the head. There wasn't much in it, but her clothes, and a few books, but it was enough to catch him off guard. He snarled and grabbed her by the back of the head yanking her back and throwing her across the room into the beautiful mirror that hung. The glass shattered when her weight hit it, as she hit the ground, landing on shards, the glass sticking into her clothes. She winced and grabbed the back of her head, as the vampyre strode over to her. She looked up and grabbed a piece of glass, holding it tightly in her hand, the Sharp edge cutting into the palm of her hand, causing her blood to well up and spill over. "I smell....blood." the vampyre spoke in very broken English. His fangs flashed out as he leaned down towards her, and that was when she took her chance, she swung out with her hand slicing the glass across the skin of his throat. Blood poured out as she cut deep, and she jumped up and threw the shard of glass and ran for the door. She had gotten to it, when it flung open hitting her in the head, and knocking her backwards. A welt and cut appeared on her forehead above her right eye, as the two men from the elevator walked in. They spoke in their language, which she didn't even understand. The tall one reached down and grabbed her holding her tight as she struggled. The other one looked her up and down, then over to the vampyre bleeding out on the floor. He spit towards the floored vampyre and motioned for them to go. The one holding Bless shook his head as he turned her to look at him. "Let me go! You won't get awa-" she had started to yell at him, when the other vampyre returned he bunched up his fist and punched her hard in the side of the head, knocking her out. She didn't even dream.
They had left Orpheus' room a mess. The nearly redead vampyre, who's throat Bless had slit, struggled to survive, the mirror shattered, Bless' bag and its contents thrown about the floor. The blood covered shard of glass, the only bit of Bless' blood in the room was laying by the door where it had landed.

She leaned back with her drink, resting her foot on her chair, as she was skinny enough to do so. She didn't have an issue with him, no. So far, he was a knowledgeable and interesting man. She said his name was Orpheus. She smiled slightly at that, a true smile, and a pretty sight.
"Well, then, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Bayley"
She didn't get to say much more before her smile faded as she too heard the sounds of breaking glass. He grabbed her shirt, which she was grateful for because she may have been quick, but at least one of those stars would've hit her. She grabbed his hands and jumped up, but not before she saw his fangs. She knew now he was still a dangerous creature, but hey she was pissed too. She'd been having a lovely conversation with an interesting man, and suddenly it got interrupted. Bayley noted the blondes were gone as well, and turned back to the vampryes who had stayed behind. She wore her belt tonight, which helped her out alot.
She whipped out a stake, and whipped it as hard as she could into the back of one of the vampryes. It impaled itself in his heart. She smirked, before she looked up at Orpheus. She opened her mouth to say something about her picking them difficult, but he had ran out shouting something about his wife, which she completely understood, because if it had been her wife, she'd have gone bloody mad. She turned back to the vampryes, and behind her. Alright, She thought, Show time!
Bayley dodged a punch from one of them, and spun under his arm, landing her fist in his belly, and leading into an upper cut. She swung her legs around, hitting at least one of them. She heard a crash like a body landing against a wall. She turned just in time to see another star being thrown at her. And she pulled a Matrix. Kind of. She more dropped, and rolled onto her back. She took out her stake, and threw it into his chest. She stood up, and continued to get into a three on one fist fight.
She grabbed the fist of one, spun him around so he was in a half-Nelson and staked him. As she spun, a shot connected to her face, which knocked her off balance. As she was recovering, another shot connected to her. She flew a little bit, and hit the concrete wall hard enough to at least crack ribs. She hit the floor, and closed her eyes against the pain for a moment, before she opened them to see the remaining two standing above her. Cursing loudly, she rolled, and stood. Bayley, being a natural born gymnast, had an advantage. As they ran at her, she stamped her heel, and felt the knives slid out. She jumped up, grabbed the bar, and spun around, intending to slice both their heads off.
Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out like that. See, these vampryes were a little smarter then Canadian vampryes, and they waited for her to spun around before grabbing her legs. She was slammed into the wall, and they took turns doing shot for shot on Bayley. Though she was fighting back, they beat her pretty bad, and were just getting ready to bite her when she finally managed to reach her hunting blade, and she cried out as she now sliced both of their heads off. She rested her dizzy head against the wall for a moment, before she felt the damage. Split lip, swollen eyes, probably bruises. Cracked ribs. Cili was going to freak.
Now, the biggest questions were, where had Orpheus gone. And who the hell were those ninja vamps, and why had they attacked? Besides the fact they were a bunch of evil creatures. She walked out of the bar, after picking up her weapons, and replacing them neatly on her belt. She also tided her face up a little, so it wasn't as bad. She looked both ways down the street, following the noise to where hopefully, he would be.
