Walking in the dark had never been a problem until this moment. Something seemed very off about this night, maybe it was just her nerves acting up as they can do at times. Minttu’s sixth sense was giving her an un-right feeling at the bottom of her stomach. She was sure there was someone near her but whether or not that person was a threat to her or not was questionable. Minttu took into consideration that this unsure feeling may because the area she was located in was unfamiliar and the night was not making her feel anymore comfortable about that fact.
Times like this made Minttu almost reconsider leaving the safety of her parent’s home in Asia, but she knew it was time to blossom and begin her this new chapter of her life. Though being alone in an ocean of black was not on her list of things to do. A shiver tingled up Minttu’s spine as a gust of crisp winter air blew through the trees and over her. She was relieved she had dressed warm for the night and adjusted her jacket buttoning it up all the way to her neck.
Her paranoia was growing so she let her wings lift her a couple of feet from the stone floor as an attempt to make as little noise as possible. This way, she thought, it’ll be possible to make a quick escape if danger approaches… unless this danger possesses the gift of flight as well. Minttu shivered again. It had been a long day and Minttu hoped to find a place to rest soon, even more she hoped for her own home to sleep in but that was something she’d have in time.
She let out a sigh and gazed up at the sky, bright was glistening stars, to try and distract herself from the anxiety she was having. The road she was traveling by was not the brightest, lampposts stood very far from each other and nothing was visible to the left and right of her, thick forest was the only thing in sight besides the stone path she was taking. Hopefully, she would find a destination soon.
