The air in the city felt saturated by the dark clouds above. They seemed almost unnatural as they hung in the night sky, the stars barely visible through them. It was so late, not that it was a problem for one particular person prowling the streets, neither was the atmosphere an issue. The person in question casually made his way through an alleyway and out into the open streets. He paused to take a deep breath, his eyes seeming to glow momentarily in what dim light was provided by streetlamps in the area.
"So full, I can feel it on my skin." Cyn whispered with a playful smile, feeling sparks tingling over the length of his arms and over his legs ever so briefly in response to the heavy clouds above. Ever since discovering his talents with electricity Cyn enjoyed the occasional tingling sensation it gave him before storms or when the air was humid. As he brushed some stray grey hair from his eyes Cyn saw some of the sparks light up in the air. "Maybe a little too much." He chuckled, shaking his hand to rid himself of the excess energy.
As he looked around Cyn let out a sigh, admiring the architecture. Transylvania was a vacation spot he'd been meaning to visit for a while. It kept much of the medieval architecture of ages past, appealing to Cyn's sense of aesthetic. To him, such buildings were much closer to nature than modern structures, more natural both in construction and in their materials used. In his reverie Cyn managed to spot a sign hanging over a door nearby. In his curiosity he walked over to find it to be a bar.
For a few minutes he contemplated what he should do about this. He'd had the occasional alcoholic drink before, if only to experiment, and never anything heavy. Besides, with his grey hair he could probably pass for twenty one right? Deciding to take the risk, even if he wasn't going to get a drink, Cyn pushed open the door and stepped inside, not sure what to expect within at such a late our.
As soon as he walked in the bar Cyn found himself called out to dance with some random guy. At first he was apprehensive since he didn't know this guy at all, and this other person the guy was with seemed to be eyeing him in a bad way. Something about that man made Cyn's skin prickle, and not in the nice tingly way it had before outside. His hesitation lasted for a while, but he couldn't say no since he had no reason to not dance.
Still, taking the side of caution, Cyn walked up to the guy asking him to dance and held out his hand in a friendly manner. "I think names are in order?" He asked in the friendliest manner he could manage, his dull gold eyes flicking from the man who'd asked him to dance to the other guy practically glaring daggers into his soul. If he were changed at the moment Cyn swore he'd feel his pelt crawl. "Eheheh...I'm Cyn, Cyn Akara." He explained, fiddling with his dog-tag in his free hand from his nervousness at the stares he was getting.
Normally Cyn was totally okay with outright dancing, it was the apparent bodyguard that was making him fidgety and nervous. Cyn was quite amicable most of the time around people, open to new things and all that. He couldn't say what it was about the man aside from the glare, but his presence seemed...oppressive. That was the word, oppressive!
At first Cyn expected to be questioned on the pronunciation of his name like a lot of people tended to do when he first introduced himself. This Dart Finkleberg was brighter than most people at least and caught on quick that Cyn was talking about his name. True, his name was odd in spelling and how it was spoken, but it did not instantly condemn the grey-haired boy with vice contrary to what some religious fanatics might believe.
"A pleasure to meet you too Dart." He replied, his smile dropping when he became introduced to Jace. Every instinct in Cyn told him to tread lightly around the glaring man, to not make any motion that could be perceived as a threat. "Erm...h-hello Jace." Cyn said softly, giving a very light wave to Dart's bodyguard. If not for his currently marvelous control he might have been out of the bar by now and people would be looking for a beast in the wilderness.
The pale boy let out a surprised squeak when his dance partner dragged him out into an open area that served as a dance floor. At first Cyn wasn't sure if this music was entirely to his tastes but as the song moved on he get into the beat and began dancing with Dart more and more, not afraid to get in close as the music removed his inhibition and fear.
"Really? He doesn't look fluffy like a teddy bear." Cyn joked with Dart as they danced. It was mostly a joke, but Cyn really couldn't see Jace being anything but cold and sour. Then again, he hadn't been around Jace more than a few minutes so he hadn't had the chance to see him in a different light.
Speaking of spending time together Cyn slowed down his dancing so he could focus on replying to Dart's question. "Hmmm...I gotta say that I've been to several London bars before. This is actually my first vacation out of the London area." He confessed, a widespread grin on his face. "Christmas is the best time personally speaking, but I've never had any friends to hang out with at bars before." With a shrug Cyn picked up the pace again as the song changed to something else of similar style to the first one.
When he thought on it Cyn wanted to make good friends with Dart. He seemed nice enough, even with his bodyguard glaring death at everything that moved. Who knew, perhaps they'd meet again after tonight? It was all up to the hands of fate as to what laid on the table between them.
After two songs the pale youth had managed to tire himself out, grabbing a seat at the bar beside where Dart had been sitting before. "Whoo...that was fun. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun!"
To his surprise the pale youth found a beer being handed to him by the bodyguard of all people. Well, it probably wasn't correct to call Jace a bodyguard, but more like Dart's best friend? Whatever it was, bodyguard wasn't the right term for it. At any rate Cyn took the beer with a smile and held it in both hands. He could tell Jace was jealous from the look he was being given; it was different from the previous death-glare.
With a soft giggle Cyn leaned on the bar and sipped the beer, only a little bit at a time, before answering Dart. "Thanks, but Jace's pick is fine. I wouldn't want to be a bother." He said with a smile, setting the still mostly-full beer on the counter. "And yes, I'm from London England. I don't get to wander far from there usually but this is a place I've always wanted to see. It's got all sorts of great..." Cyn paused, perhaps too long a pause actually, before continuing. "...'stories' about werewolves and vampires. Besides even that, this architecture is wonderful."
For a moment Cyn felt he'd paused to long and he grabbed his beer, sipping from it again. "Actually, I was born a little north of London. What about you two? I know this seems strange but I was born in a forest so I've always felt close to nature." This time Cyn was testing the water, seeing if Dart might suspect him. If not, it was still just friendly conversation. Since he wasn't too uninhibited yet from the beer, Cyn wasn't going to flirt...yet.
When Dart opened his hoodie to reveal his burn marks Cyn could only bring himself to look briefly before closing his eyes and sipping his beer again. It must have been terrible to lose his parents in such a way. Just thinking about it made Cyn ache inside a little. He sympathized not having parents, at least in part. At the risk of revealing too much Cyn sat up a little straighter and decided to talk about himself a little more. The scent of blood was easy to catch for the grey-haired male's nose, so he made a note to not bring up the topic of Dart's parents on his own.
"I have been told my father was murdered and my mother died having me." He said with a sigh, shaking his head. "I've been raised by foster parents since I was born. I guess it wasn't all bad, but I've never known my real parents." At least Cyn had had parents of some kind, Dart had been without for who knew how long? Still, Cyn sympathized with Dart at least a little bit.
Both boys were keeping secrets, but perhaps they would reveal their secrets given enough time with each other. However, considering Jace's actions lately Cyn was wondering if they'd have the chance to talk again at another time. Seeking to turn the topic to something less depressing Cyn shook his head and took a swig from his beer, leaving it only half-way finished for now. "Have you ever heard of Iceberg Roses?" He asked with a light-hearted smile, turning his gaze back upon Dart.

Rurik was "vacationing" in Transylvania, getting away from work and relaxing a bit. Seeing the sights and the women. Or that was what he told every one who asked, in reality he was there for work. He was there to get paid. He all ready got his money and was all set to leave back to america only bad part is his flight was for a couple days from now. Sighing heavily Rurik pulled out his phone and looked at the time before slipping the phone in his coats pocket and tossing the bag into his car.
Looking down the street he noticed the bar that was still open he decided he needed a drink. Shutting the car door he pushed the button to lock it from the remote in his pocket as he walked away, slipping his hands into his pockets he walked up to the building. Looking at the name he pulled his hand out of his pocket to grab the door handle and twist it while pulling the door open. Stepping inside he looked around and heard the music. Not caring for this song to much he stepped up to the bartender and ordered a glass of scotch. Pulling out the money he handed it to the bartender and took his drink.
Sitting down on the stool he heard his phone chime, pulling it out of his pocket he looked at it and saw the new email about a job he is almost finished with. Sighing he puts the phone to sleep and slips it back into his pocket. Over hearing the two boys not far from him he glanced over at them and looked back at his drink as images of his mother flooded his mind. Chugging his drink he ordered more scotch and closed his eyes, leaning his head back he muttered words in Italian under his breath. "Un'era di sangue di oscure memorie."

Cyn was happy that Dart knew somewhat about the roses. It wasn't really a big conversation topic but it was something to pull them away from depressing pasts and what-not. Leaning on the bar Cyn smiled softly and set his beer down. He didn't want to get intoxicated, not that one beer would be too horrible but he didn't want to be tipsy in case he had to run off somewhere quick.
"Yes, like the Korbin Roses. They're very pretty, all creamy white. I couldn't tell you why I like them so much but I do." Sighing softly the pale boy turned on the bar stool to look fully at Dart. "I'm sorry if my reaction earlier hurt you. I...I know I can't do anything about it but for what it's worth I'm sorry that you're so horribly burned." As if on instinct Cyn reached out with a gentle hand toward Dart's cheek before retracting it, knowing that would overstep his bounds.
"I think...that you are handsome on the inside and on the outside, regardless of burns or scars. It's rare to find someone who has a good heart and good looks." With a soft chuckle Cyn brushed some grey hair from his face, not having fully noticed the newcomer to the bar. "It seems like those with good hearts are so often cursed in looks, and vice versa." Again Cyn chuckled but this time he turned away and closed his eyes. "Sorry about that, I got off track."

Rurik drank his scotch slowly this time, not wanting to finish it in one gulp again he pushed the thoughts away and looked at the bottles in front of him. Listening in to the conversation the boys were having he pulled out his phone and started his program. The phone started scanning every ones phones nearby. Quickly retrieving the information he ran through the small list of people until he found Dart Finkleberg. Not much information was on him other then he moved around, a lot. He was almost always bouncing from one cell tower to another. Curiously Rurik looked at what locations the cell towers were at. Different countries, questioning why so many shook his head and moved onto Cyn Akara, even less then the first man. This peaked Rurik's curiosity.
Putting his phone back in his pocket he took another sip of his glass and ordered some shots, one for him and three for the other boys. Paying the bartender he left he money on the counter. Blinking he was lost in the mess of his brain it took him a second to find out where the vibration was coming from. Realizing its his phone he pulled it out, not recognizing he number he answered and said "Yes?" remaining quiet he listened to the man talk asking to hire him. "Email me and we will speak more of it later." Hanging up he slipped his phone in his pocket and took the shot in his hand looking over he smiled and said "cheers before downing the shot.
Cyn's worries about his previous actions toward seeing Dart's burns were further assuaged by Dart's response. He couldn't imagine how painful that must have been, though, both physically and emotionally. Having never known his real parents Cyn never really mourned or had been able to get attached to them, but he still wished he had known them. Second-hand accounts of what someone is like are generally inaccurate in his experience.
"Blue roses..." The grey haired boy let out a soft sigh as he tilted his head to one side and smiled. "...yeah, I can see that. Blue roses would be wonderful but they can only be made artificially. Carnations don't really count, they're just plastic and fabric. Dyeing a rose doesn't count either." Pushing himself off the bar from leaning on it Cyn stretched his arms above his head before letting them fall limp at his sides. "A rose dyed blue isn't a real blue rose, and it can kill the flower." He said, shaking his head a little bit even though he was still smiling.
"Actually...I've heard that blue roses grow in the realm of the dead." Cyn said, chuckling softly and shaking his head head. "What greater impossibility is there than a beautiful flower growing in a place of death, right?" He was going to apologize for such a pessimistic comment when a few shots were slid down the bar at them. Turning in his seat to look down the bar Cyn saw a new figure holding his glass up and saying "Cheers."
Turning and looking back at the shots Cyn leaned in close and sniffed the one that had been placed in front of him in particular. "Sooo...what's this?" He asked Dart, sitting up and eyeing the alcohol shot with suspicion. They hadn't even talked to that other guy yet and Cyn highly doubted the human was flirting with both of them. No offense to Dart's appearance, just that it was an extremely unlikely circumstance in general. He did, however, jump a bit when Jace grabbed the shots meant for Dart and himself and downed them. Cyn's shot was untouched, but the only thing he could find himself doing was giggle at how protective Jace was. It must be nice having someone care about you like that. Dismissing the drink for now an idea popped into Cyn's head and he rummaged through his pocket, bringing out a rather plain cellphone. "Would you like to exchange numbers? I know it's a little sudden, but I'm sure we'll be good friends for a while. Don't ask me why, I just get that feeling and besides, you might have questions for me later." Holding out his cell, Cyn gave Dart a playful, almost flirtatious, wink.
