[glow=red,2,300]The forests of England are so beautiful; decorating the ground with pretty, colorful leaves and soft soil. They are especially beautiful when the tree trunks and ground are painted with pretty, red blood...[/glow] Lavina sat against the tree trunk in the dimly lit forest, playing with the pretty leaves. She liked the sounds they made when she tore them or crushed them in her hands. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
Stop doing that! It's annoying...
She gasped, letting the crunched up leaf shreds fall from her blood crusted palms. She turned to the dirty, little bear that rested against the tree beside her. She frowned. "You're not Mr. Smhee..." she whispered. "What did you do with him? Where is Mr. Shmee? Tell me!" she shrieked, picking up the bear and standing to her feet, shaking it violently. She didn't like the new voice that came from her beloved Mr. Shmee. He was mean. He was dark.
You stupid girl...He's still here. Just not at the moment. He was tired. So I let him take a nap. You don't want to wake him from his nap, do you? He'll be very upset if you do.
She frowned sadly, dropped to her knees, still holding the bear at arms length. "No...No, I don't want to. I don't want him to be mad at me. Not at all." She sat back down and placed the teddy bear back against the tree trunk beside her. She sat silently, back straight and legs extended straight and still.
Shouldn't you be hunting or something, you stupid girl? When is the last time you've eaten?
Lavina growled. She did not like the way this voice talked to her. He was so mean. His name was Mr. Eff.
You're a werewolf now, don't you get it? You got it from your Mommy. That's why your Daddy called her a monster. The things she did when she was younger, the lives she took. I saw it. Saw it all. She was a sick, little puppy. Just. Like. YOU.
"SHUT UP!" she screamed, holding her head in her hands. "Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut UP!"
Deny it if you want, but you know it's true! True! Ask Shmee! Go on, ask him!
"You're dark! DARK!" she shrieked. Her body started to hurt again. She screamed, throwing herself on all fours. Her bones cracking, muscles twitching violently, flesh tearing. Her jaw extended and her human teeth began to fall out, being replaced by sharp fangs. It hurt so much! She could feel something crawling underneath her skin. She didn't like that, so she tore her flesh from her cracking bones. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt when she tore off her flesh. She saw this brown stuff emerging. It looked like hair. Brown hair. Tiny, brown hairs. Looked like fur. Her blood crusted fingernails turned to sharp claws, her hands turned to big paws; human hair fell from her scalp, being replacedd by more brown fur. Her girlish screams turned to howls of agony. Lavina fell to her side, crying and waiting for the pain to go away. After a few minutes, everything stopped. She tried to stand on her two feet, but couldn't. She could only stand on all fours. What happened?
Just relax, Lavina. You're going to be okay...
She froze and turned to the teddy bear. Mr. Shmee? she thought.
Yes, it's me. Don't you worry about a thing, Lavina. You're okay. This is normal. Look in the pool of water in front of you. That's your true form, Lavina. Go on, look.
Lavina slowly walked over to the pool of water. Something was definately different. Her hearing was greater, she heard everything. From the birds in the sky miles away to the ants under the ground. She looked in the pool of water and whined. It was a dog. A big dog. Very big. Where was her face? Where was Lavina?
That's you, Lavina. The real you. You're a werewolf. You can change into the beautiful wolf you now are whenever you want. I know it hurts you at first, but after a while, you'll get used to it, I promise.
Wolf? she thought. Is that was she was? She looked closer at the reflection in the water. The fur that covered her new face was all a dark brown. Opening her mouth, she saw very sharp teeth. She smiled. She liked her new teeth. It will make it easier to chew on bones. The only thing that has not changed was her eyes. Piercing blue eyes. She loved her eyes. She was glad they didin't change.
Now, go, Lavina. Hunt. You're hungry, aren't you?
She looked behind her at the bear and nodded. "Yes, I am. So hungry."
Lavina walked over to the bear and sat down. She looked up to the sky and howled. She picked it up with her mouth and ran into the deeper part of the forest. She was very hungry. So very hungry. Question is, where is her prey?

Werecreatures have existed for thousands of years. They existed long before there was ever a memory of them. Throughout time, however, they developed a reputation, namely in the later years. That reputation, coincided with the introduction of a new breed of werecreature, the accursed ones. To many the ability to change into a werecreature was a gift. It gave them abilities beyond that of any ordinary human. At the same time, they also surpassed their animal counterparts. To others, however, It was a curse.
Both kinds shared the same origin. They were both created by the god, Locutus Ferox. Those he favored highly were given the ability to transform at will, changing into their animal form, or even a hybrid form between the two. Many years ago, they banded together in like groups. Those with a particular blessing sticking together much like a pack of the animals they could become.
The accursed were different. Locutus had a unique punishment for those who offended him considerably. They were forced into a painful transformation. It was a particularly draining process on the body, as well as the mind, which made it easier for the secondary effect to take hold. Once transformed, the accursed often lost control over their own bodies. This is how their legend started.
Locutus was aware that by doing this, he risked bringing the hatred and fear of men upon those who viewed favorably that shared the unique ability; however, he was confident that they would be able to adapt. He also knew that they were not particularly innocent either. He was well aware of the activities they got up to....
The accursed ran rampant amongst the streets of men, no longer able to control themselves... their....hunger. They attacked their own kind, and became hated individuals. They were joined, on occasion, by those who could freely control their gift, but shared no love for the civilized world. Over time, humans banded together, and devised ways of dealing with werecreatures.
However, humans soon learned that the curse of the werecreature was not just confined to a select few who had it. It could also be passed on. And so the fear of the curse being passed on was born. What people didn't know was apparently... it passed on through birth as well. That was how the original werecreatures truly came to be. Locutus had granted people with the ability to change into creatures, but it wasn't until they had offspring that the true 'werecreature' was born. What even Ferox had not considered... was that apparently the two different types of werecreatures... could also pass their ability on....between each other....
A man walked through the forest at a leisurely pace. It was one of the last few remaining in these parts of the world. He stopped and stared up at the trees from behind a dark pair of sunglasses that wrapped around the front of his face. He took in a deep breath and let out a sigh. He could remember a time when these forests spanned much of this land.... now they had become thinned out to make way for expanding civilization. The man shook his head and brought it back down to gaze at his surroundings. Not seeing any particular thing of interest, he made his way deeper into the shaded forest.
After a short time of walking, the bald man's ear twitched. He picked up, somewhere in the distance, a woman's voice. Curiously enough the voice was talking to someone... but there came no reply. It was as if the woman was having a one sided conversation. Whoever she was talking to, she obviously didn't like, given the tone of the conversation. She yelled at him to shut up several times, but obviously, he wasn't listening as the conversation continued.
That's when the man's head snapped in the direction of the voice. He felt it long before he heard it. The sounds of bones forcing themselves into new configurations, snapping and reforming. The sound of pain, the sound of someone shifting form.... into a wolf. The man's gaze hardened. A cursed werewolf? His gaze snapped up towards the sky. No... it couldn't have been. It wasn't that time of the month. However, her change... the pain... it wasn't normal... The transformation should have been painless.
Whatever it was, the man knew he'd not have to wait long. The creature had changed into a wolf, and had taken off through the woods, bounding quickly through even this dense forest at high speed. The sound of the creature's feet, it's heavy breathing, it all grew louder and louder as the creature rapidly approached the man. He stood there, his gaze locked in the direction of the approaching animal.... waiting....

Ouch! Don't bite down so hard!
I'm sorry, Mr. Eff... she thought, trying not to bite down so hard. Lavina didn't know why she apologized to him. She didn't like Mr. Eff. At all. Such a dark thing. Where did he even come from? The first time she heard this dark voice from Mr. Shmee's body was back in the Hospital when the White Coats were trying to do more tests on her. He had told her to kill them. Like an obidient puppy, she did; using the lightning from her hands. Such pretty lightning, it was. He had helped her escape. Helped her be free. Was he meant to help her? If that were the case, why be so mean to her? Calling her a stupid girl. She wasn't stupid! She was smart. Her Mommy said so! She whined, slowing her running down to trots. She missed her Mommy so. She wondered whatever happened to her. When she escaped, she found her way back home, but no one was there. The big, beautiful house she remembered was not the same. It was rotting and old, like no one had lived there for decades. Where did her Mommy go? If she loved Lavina as much as she said she did, wouldn't she have stayed and waited for her to come back? A single tear fell from her blue eye and caught in the fur. She was all alone again. Just like in the Hospital.
Then Lavina stopped. There was something close by. Very close. She could smell it. She carefully put Mr. Shmee down on the soil and sniffed the air again. Was it an animal? No...no, this thing smelled different. Animals had a soil smell to them. This one did not. It smelled of...something. Something she could not place.
What is it, Lavina? Do you smell prey? Do you smell your food?
She shook her massive wolf head. No, Mr. Shmee. Not food. This thing smells different. Strange. Lavina put her snout to the ground to follow the scent, walking in a zig zag pattern.
Hey, you can't just leave us here! Come back, fool!
Lavina ignored Mr. Eff and continued her stroll, trying to find the source of the scent. A few yards away, she stopped and shot her head up. There was a man. A big man. Strong man. He saw her and watched with careful eyes. The scent was coming from him! Who was he? She shook her buchy tail a little, then lowered her head, growling and baring her fangs. This man didn't have a friendly look on her face. He looked mean. She didn't like that.
Who are you? Why do you smell different? Why do you look at me like that? I don't like it when people look at me like that! Her growl grew louder as she approached the bald man slowly, the fur on her back standing stright up. Go away, Mister! GO AWAY!

The man gazed upon the wolf, and cocked his head to the side. The wolf was definitely a werecreature. The bright blue eyes gave it away. Then again, he was already aware of that before hand, he didn't need to see her to know that. He also noticed the lack of the individual she had been talking to... or possibly imagining.
The man then chuckled as he understood the wolf's intention. He let slip a slight smile and shook his head slowly."Now now, is that anyway to talk to someone you only just met? I can assure you that I mean no harm. Though if I did, I don't suppose that would matter much then would it?"He leveled his head at her.
"I suppose you are the explanation for the lack of creatures around. They tend to be able to pick on certain auras. Not that you're bad... just most creatures tend to pick up on the predatory aspect." The man turned, not concerned with keeping his eye on the wolf. He walked over to the nearest tree before turning back to face the wolf, leaning back upon the tree as he did so. "Though I am curious on what a person like you is doing out here in the woods at this time of day?"
Lavina was met with another intense gaze at the man as he waited for her reply. It seemed quite clear he had no intention of going anywhere.
((Sorry not my best I know >.< Bit short... kinda bouncing around D=))

Lavina's growls stopped and the fur on her back settled. He understood her? But...how? She didn't say anything. She thought it! She knows she did. How did he hear her? There was just no way. Was he magic? Magic like those wizards her Mommy read about to her every night before bedtime. Lavina loved hearing Mommy read about the wizards. She liked how they used their wands and spell books to do amazing things like make fire from their hands and make things float in the air. This man just had to be a wizard! He had to be!
Lavina sat on her rear and shook her bushy tail from side to side, happliy.
Are you a wizard, Mister? You have to be, right? You can hear me talking to you in my head, right? You must be a magical wizard to be able to do that. Lavina stuck her tongue out, panting happily with a wolfy smile. She slowly approached him and rested her head on his leg, whining sadly.
I'm sorry I yelled at you, Mister Wizard. I didn't mean it. I thought you were like one of the White Coats. They're mean. Very mean. I don't like the things they did to me and how they took me away from Mommy. I thought you were here to take me away again.
She looked at him with innocent eyes, shaking her tail again.
I came here to eat, Mister Wizard. Mr. Shmee and Mr. Eff are here, too. They told me I was a werewolf and I must hunt, so that's what I was doing. I was looking for food.
I like being a werewolf. It's really fun. I just don't like the way my body hurts when I turn. That isn't fun. No...not at all. Do you know any werewovles, Mister Wizard? I want some friends just like me. I love friends!
She used to have a little bunny friend after she left the Hospital. She named him Foo-Foo. He was so cute with his soft fur and tiny, black eyes. She loved her Foo-Foo. Loved him so much that she squeezed him tight, not wanting him to go away; to leave her by herself again. But, she squeezed Foo-Foo too tight. He squeaked really loud and some cracking sounds came from his body. Lavina gasped and stopped squeezing him. She looked down at her motionless bunny, wondering what happened. She cried so much that day. Poor, little Foo-Foo.
I used to have a friend, Mister Wizard. His name was Foo-Foo. He was a pretty bunny. But...I guess I loved him too much. Now, poor, little Foo-Foo is dead. I miss him so much. She whined again, her pointed ears down. I don't like being alone. I was alone for so long. I just want people to like me. I just want friends.
She looked up at him once again with innocent eyes, shaking her tail again.
Will you be my friend, Mister Wizard? I promise I won't be mean to you anymore and I promise I will stop chewing on the bones of the fluffy animals here. Please, Mister Wizard?
Lavina's tail continued to shake side to side, waiting on his answer. She hoped he said yes. That would make her so happy! Maybe she'll even introduce him to Mr. Shmee! But, not Mr. Eff. Mr. Eff might be mean to him, too. Lavina didn't want to lose a friend because of that dark thing.

The man gave a nod as he noticed her growling die down and the fur settle, a sign she was settling down. He then chuckled and shook his head, that smirk forming back upon his lips. Then he watched as she sat and wagged her tail happily and he laughed a little more at that.
"I'm afraid I am going to have to disappoint you Lavina, my dear. I am not quite a wizard I am afraid. The whole pointy hat, winger wiggling, staff wielding concept is a little too cliche for me. I'm a little more down to earth than that. However, I do understand yes."
The man perked a brow behind his shades as she came over and leaned up against his leg. Of course he had no problem with that, but it did make him all the more curious about this particular werewolf. She was quite the enigma to him. Then she spoke of the white coats and his face fell into a darker, more troubled expression. The white coats.... He knew what she meant. The 'doctors' and 'scientists.' They would have likely taken a great interest in Lavina if they knew who she was... what she was. He took in a deep breath and sighed softly waiting for a pause before he spoke up again.
"No Lavina, the white coats can't hurt you now.... I won't let them hurt you again." He took in another deep breath before letting it out again."Though I need you to be a big girl and tell me what they did to you. It's very important Lavina. Lives may depend on it."He offered her a sympathetic smile. This was one aspect he didn't like about humanity. It's incessant 'need' to 'learn' about things it didn't understand. He could not fault their curiosity. Humans always sought to learn and adapt. What angered him was the methods they used. They were 'learning' at the cost of nature itself.
"Ah yes... food. Nothing wrong with a bit of hunting now is there?"The man gave another smirk. After all, he himself loved to hunt. He gazed about left and right, listening and looking for something before he turned his attention back to the werewolf.
"I'm sure it is quite the experience for you isn't it? To be able to transform into such a mighty creature. And yes, I was curious when I was walking through here earlier. I heard something that sounded like someone in pain. I take it that it must have been you. It is a bit... interesting that such a transformation should be painful..."
"As for if I know any werewolves.... Well I suppose I know a few werecreatures... and one particular were...wolf.... He's also fond of hunting. Although he's something of a lone wolf sort...but I think he wouldn't mind some company.... "The man smirked, saying no more on the particular topic just yet.
"I'm sure Foo-foo is in a better place now."Even at the death of the rabbit, which may not have been killed for the purpose of survival, the man wasn't bothered. He knew that she had not meant to kill it, and just wanted a friend. This woman truly perplexed him. He wasn't sure why he'd suddenly developed a slight soft spot for her. Perhaps it was that, even as a person, she had been rejected by her own kind. He understood the concept quite clearly. He knew humans were prone to it. However, he still could not fathom doing it himself.
He reached down and ran his hand along the top of her head slowly, pausing to lightly scritch behind one of her ears."I've a feeling we're already friends in some respect dear."He gave another one of his soft chuckles as he watched her. He then reached up with his free hand and slowly pulled his shades away from his face, revealing a most unusual pair of eyes. A glowing deep red pair of eyes were a stark contrast from Lavina's piercing blue eyes. His fiery eyes seemed to have a look of ageless intelligence, as if he'd seen far more than someone of his apparent age ever should have.

Lavina cocked her head to the side and again to the other side. He wasn't a wizard? This made her a little sad. She really liked wizards.
Well, if you aren't a wizard, Mister, then what are you? I know you're not like my Daddy or the White Coats; humans. Normal people can't hear other people or animals talk in their heads. Oh, please tell me! Pretty please? I promise I'll keep it a secret!
She lifted her right paw and tried to put it where her heart was, but couldn't do it right. She growled a little bit and lowered her ears. I was going to say 'Cross my heart', but I can't reach it right now. Lavina whined sadly at the thought of the White Coats. It was good to know that the funny, bald man was going to protect her, keep her safe from them. But, just remembering them made her very sad. Mad, too. A low growl rumbled in her throat.
The White Coats were very bad people. They took me away from my Mommy and Daddy when I was...umm...
She looked down at hear massive paws and cocked her head. She lifted her right paw again and put it on the man's leg.
I was this many years old when they took me away. Four, yeah that's it! I was four. Daddy was the one that told them to take me away. I hate him for that. I thought my Daddy loved me. Mommy tried to get me to stay, but he didn't want me to. He called me and Mommy 'monsters'. My mommy wasn't a monster! She was the best mommy in the whole world!
When they took me away, they locked me up in a small, steel room; kept me straped down to a hard bed. The White Coats never let me get off the bed, either. They kept me straped down for a really long time. They used to do these...tests, they called them. They would take these really big needles and stick me in the arm with them, taking some red stuff from me. The needles hurt so much! I tried to tell them to stop, but they didn't listen. They didn't care that I was in pain. Sometimes they would wheel me in this big machine in another room and...
Lavina trailed off and began to whine again, crying. It's the big machine she hated the most.
Th-The machine had alot of big, long needles on them and they were attatched to these robot arms. The needles went everywhere; I-In my arms, m-my legs, my e-eyes, my teeth and even my h-h-head.
Her whining grew louder. The pain that she went through in that machine...she hated thinking about it. It always made her cry. Then the man asked her about her 'transformation'. He seemed confused that it hurt her so. Was it not supposed to hurt? Yes, Mister, it hurts everytime I change, and everytime it hurt so bad that I went to sleep. It's really weird. Especially when I wake up in a different place covered in red stuff. That's how I got here, I guess. I woke up here in red stuff. This is the first time I changed without falling asleep.
Lavina wagged her tail when he told her he knew of other creatures just like her. If they ever did become friends, she had hoped that one day he can introduce her to them. She was so excited! The man ran his hand down her head and scratched her behind the ear. Her tail wagged even faster. That felt really good; so good that even her leg was moving, just like a puppy. She nudged her head against his hand and licked it to show him that she really liked him. He was alot nicer than she thought. He even said they were friends! He then reached up to his sunglasses and took them off. Lavina froze and stared in awe. The man had glowing red eyes. They were so pretty! She let out a small bark and wagged her tail from side to side. He definately wasn't a normal person. Then again, neither was she.
Such big, pretty eyes you have! she exclaimed in her mind, then she giggled a little bit. She remembered that from a story her Mommy read her when she was little; Red Riding Hood, it was called. That was one of her favorite stories. Lavina then cocked her head to the side. She couldn't help but wonder...was he the Big, Bad Wolf or Red Riding Hood?

"What am I?"He repeated slowly as if pondering the question himself."Well that's a hard question to explain, dear Lavina. Not so much to make you understand... but rather I simply wonder if you'd believe me if I told you." His hand continued to scritch at her ear.
"My name is Locutus Ferox, and some.... call me a god. I am not to be confused with the 'being' they worship from stories in books they call bibles. I am an older being. I've existed since before the modern practices of this religion. I am a messenger of the wilds. I speak for nature, since it cannot be understood by the world of men. I protect these forests... this world... from the danger mankind possesses. I do not... however hate humans.... I just seek to educate them as to their destruction of the planet."
He gave far more of an explanation than he needed to, but he wanted to make sure she didn't misunderstand him. It was far easier to explain it to someone, than to convince them after the mistake had been made, of the truth. He could tell that she might have trouble understanding things, so that would make it all the harder. It was just simpler to explain it up front.
When she told him of the 'white coats' he furrowed his brow. He wondered if these people were related at all to the others that had recently sprouted up, looking for the answers to the supernatural.... This posed a serious issue. What had they learned from studying Lavina? He would have to look into it at some point and find out what they knew. If they knew too much, he would have to convene with the other gods about stepping in on this issue. God though he may be, intervening too much in the world of men was still frowned upon by others.
He sighed again and looked at Lavina. "It's alright. They will never hurt you again. I promise."
"As for the red stuff my dear, it's called blood. It's what runs through your veins, and the veins of every other living creature. They need it to live. If they loose too much they will die. As for the pain..."
He trailed off and took in a deep breath again and let it out. Then he furrowed his brow in thought. He knew that those who angered him the most would suffer severe pain when they transformed... and Lavina was as well... but they could not transform at will. It would only happen during a full moon. However.... those he had blessed with the gift could do so freely, but without pain. However, Lavina had mentioned her mother was called a monster... so she could do it too... Werecreatures usually only kept to themselves... but if her mother had suffered the same pain, then perhaps....
He snapped himself back to focus and looked curiously at Lavina."I do believe it is possible that your grandparents were both werewolves as well. However, there are two kinds of werewolves. The good kind and the bad kind. The good kind don't suffer pain when they transform, but, like you, they can transform whenever they want. The bad kind are different. They were punished, and therefor could not transform whenever they wanted. Though when they did, they suffered a great deal of pain, and lost all control."At this point he was merely guessing, as he hadn't divined her origin, but it made sense."If I had to guess... I would say one of your grandparents was a bad one, and the other was a good one. If that makes sense to you?"
He folded up his shades and put them into a pocket of his clothes and chuckled once again. Then as if in answer to her unvoiced curiosity, Locutus's frame began to shift. His body reoriented itself, and his clothes seemed to almost absorb into his body as a layer of fur grew out. Within moments Lavina would be gazing upon a large wolf, of a breed that had all but become extinct hundreds and thousands of years ago. The wolf would gaze back at Lavina with those glowing red eyes, and it seemed almost like he was smirking at her.

Lavina stared up at the man in amazment and awe as he explained himself to her. The more she listened, the more confused she became. Then, something in her head clicked. His name sounded familiar. Very familiar.
She remembered back when she was with her Mommy and Daddy, they went to go visit Grandmama Fae. Lavina loved Grandmama Fae; she always gave her all sorts of sweets, read her stories and played with her and Mr. Shmee. Her favorite thing about Grandmama Fae was her wonderful eyes; they reminded her of the sun. So bright. So pretty.
Lavina remembered one day while visiting Grandmama Fae, Mommy was really upset with Daddy. So upset she was crying. Lavina didn't like to see Mommy cry and neither did Grandmama Fae. She remembered standing in the hall with her tiny ear against the door of the room that Mommy and Grandmama Fae where talking. Grandmama Fae was trying to cheer Mommy up.
'Don't worry, my dear. Locutus is with you and always has been. Don't pay any attenction to that absurd husband of yours. I still don't understand why you didn't marry within the clan. I really don't want to upset you more, dear, but marrying a human was a grave mistake. He does nothing but treat you like a dog and call you a monster.'
There was a long pause and Grandmama Fae took a deep breathe.
'You are not a monster and you never were. You're father, however....well....All I can say about him is that he deserved to be accursed. He damned the name of Locutus when he knew damn right not to. He was a selfish man. Dispicable. But, you, dear...you are nothing like your father despite what that human keeps telling you. I just want you to remember that our God is watching over me, you and little Lavina. She has the gift, I can feel it in my blood. I just hope to Locutus that she doesn't end up like your father...'
Lavina had no idea what was going on or what Grandmama Fae was talking about then. But, now she knew. She understood a little bit.
I understand. My grandmama told Mommy about you; that you would watch over all of us. I think what Grandmama Fae told Mommy cheered her up, too, because Mommy stopped crying and smiled. Lavina nuzzled up to Locutus's leg.
Thank you for making Mommy happy and Grandmama Fae happy. You made me happy, too.
Locutus went on explaining to Lavina the differenced between the bad wolves and good wolves. She nodded her head as she listened, enjoying the ear-scratches. Suddenly, she remembered something. Something Grandmama Fae said to Mommy.
'You are not a monster and you never were. You're father, however....well....All I can say about him is that he deserved to be accursed. He damned the name of Locutus when he knew damn right not to.....I just hope to Locutus that she doesn't end up like your father...'
It was my grandpapa. Grandmama Fae said he was...acc...accursed? Doesn't that mean he was a bad wolf?
Before she could get an answer, the man that stood in front of her, scratching her ear, was not a man anymore. She backed up and whined. She didn't know what was happening. Moments later, Locutus became something massive, bigger than her. Much bigger! She remembered seeing pictures of wolves that her Mommy used to show her, but she never saw anything like him before. He was so...beautiful. Scary, but beautiful. The only thing that Lavina could think to do was bow her head.

The large wolf sat down on it's haunches and gazed down at Lavina. His intense gaze softened as he tilted his head. If it wasn't for being a large wolf, it might have been considered cute... though to some it probably still was though one would be most unwise to tell him they thought that. If there was anything Locutus wasn't, it was cute, and he detested the notion of anything to the contrary.
"Your grandmother was a wise woman Lavina. And your mother was a good woman. I'm sure that seeing you sent away hurt her dearly. I'm sure she loved you. I am sure you will find her again one day."The wolf offered the most sympathetic look it could manage before looking off to the distance. Inwardly he wondered if that time would be before or after Lavina transcended her current existence, though with luck, it would be the former. He was sure she would be the happiest puppy in the world if she found her mother again. Maybe she would....
"It's... possible that your grandfather was a bad wolf, yes. While I find it.... odd, that the two would ever come together, I do believe it is possible yes. But that just makes you a special girl."And indeed it did. Apparently the two were compatible, though to what extent Locutus wasn't sure. He also wasn't sure the repercussions such a union presented but it certainly made Lavina unique.
"Just you remember that Locutus watches over all of his 'friends.' They are part of his family, and wolves protect their family, right?"
((Another short one @_@ Gotta stop writing these so late at night.))
