Brailyn thumbed through the many dollar bills that he had gotten from the cashier at the Seven-Eleven, gritting his teeth. Since when did these places not have anything over a five dollar bill? It must be going out of business. Her threw the money atop the gun, which lay in the passenger seat of the car he had stolen from the old man in it a few hours earlier. He had to get out of there, though, before the cops came. They wouldn't recognize him, of course. He wasn't him when he robbed the convenience store. Chuckling to himself, he put the car in gear and began to drive, just as three cars with whirring red and blue lights sped by, turning down the road towards the store.
It was an hour later when Brailyn pulled onto a dirt road entering a forest. He stopped the vehicle at the base of the road and stepped out. Grabbing the gun and tossing it into a nearby bush, he stuffed the money into the pocket of his worn blue jeans. He then made his way into the woods.
When he came upon a large tree with twisting branches, he shed his clothing and settled it into a hollow in the tree, money safe in his pocket. He changed then, bones shifting and popping into place as his skeleton became that of a canine. Fur sprouted from each pore, a short, wagging tail protruding from the base of his spine. He was now a Great Dane. The large dog took off then, weaving through trees as he ran. He always needed a good run after a good stealing.

A teenage looking figure, who appeared to be somewgere in between thirteen and fifteen, stood in the forest. He had blackish-red eyes and black feathered wings extended through slits in the back of his hooded jacket. He was standing there, a single flame, much like a candle flame, floating just above the tip of his finger when a rather large dog ran by. 'I thought those things were supposed to be kept on leashes... whoever the stupid human who let it out without one should be killed. And maybe I can do that...' the figure thought to himself as the dog ran past. He then decided to follow the dog, and leapt into a treetop with the help of his wings. As the dog ran, he followed, leaping from treetop to treetop to see where the Great Dane was going. He kept up with the dog with ease, as this wasn't the first time he had lept across trees.
