It had been about a month since Lilith had come out of hiding and after consecutive days of searching for a place to stay, she finally found an apartment within the city. She had just finished heaving all her belongings into the flat, and was now lounging on her brand new leather sofa unpacking boxes at her leisure. The sun was in full view as time hit about 1pm. Lilith yawned and looked around the place. "Shit, this is boring. Almost makes me miss the days when I was on the run and all the belongings I had could fit into my beat up old backpack." She moved towards the kitchen where she could get a full view of the place. She had finished her bed room in the early morning. It's not like she had much to show for herself. Most everything she was unpacking was brand new. She had gone out right after she bought the place and went shopping for the necessities; furniture, dishes, appliances, etc. Conveniently, they all decided to ship in today.
She moved towards her bedroom, lingering in the hallway. In all honesty, she was still nervous about the whole idea of coming back into society. Though it had been years, she still feared that the day would come when her creators would track her down and force her back into the violent, immoral life that came with the parental package. If, or when that day ever came she would just have to be strong enough to deny them the pleasure of submission. She had been on her own long enough now. Perhaps too long. Lilith didn't want to be alone anymore, but nightmares plagued her every thought, taunting her; teasing that she would be alone forever. It was all she knew.
Lilith shook her head and sighed. Damn, I gotta stop these stupid mind tricks. I should know better than this! But still her parent's taunts rained down on her heavy shoulders. You'll never amount to anything. You'll be alone forever because of the life we lead. No one could ever love a thief. You're pathetic. Weak. Stupid. She leaped towards the wall, fist extended, leaving a lovely housewarming dent in the brand new corridor. As she shook her hand to rid herself of the stinging backlash the doorbell rang. She tripped over a half emptied box, as she called out Shit, I'm coming! She rushed to open the door, not knowing what to expect. After all, it was her first day here. Who could be so eager to greet the new neighbor?

Sitting up in his comfy bed, vrases rubbed his eyes in drowsiness, and looked around his apartment, scanning for his clock to see the time. Damn, 1 in the morning? It's early. looking over to the other side of the bed, he was glad he didn't have somebody next to him like last time. He couldn't remember how she got there, but it was pretty entertaining to hear what happened the night before. Plopping his head down, he fought against the urge to just stay there give more minutes, and got up to shuffle over to the stove an clicked it on. Scratching his bare chest, he ran his hair through his bed head to try an get it back to normal as he began to make breakfast, and glanced around out the open windows. It was warm out, just like he liked it; maybe a swim was needed today for work, he thought drowsily. Grabbing a plate, he shuffled some eggs onto his plate with some German sausage and waffles, and sat at the counter munching happily on his food. The flat next to his was fairly close considering they were in two different buildings. Even if he wasn't a were, a human could jump across easily to the other flats porch. Walking out to the porch on his flat. He had a lot of places to live on his line of work, but this flat and the other in Barcelona were some of his favorites because of the awesome view across the city and the beach from his flat. Getting up and walking to the sliding door, he opened it up an sat down on his comfortable chair, while he popped on some music. As parkway drive played in the background, he ate, content to watch over the city. Suddenly, he heard a loud crunch, something like a person hitting something fairly hard, and the tough object have way. Looking across the distance into the other flat, he was somewhat able to pinpoint the general area, and saw a tall and pretty attractive girl with front dyed streaks pull her hand out of the wall." Hey, new girl... Haha, damn she got an attitude. Takes a lot to do that for a normal human..hm. watching as she made her way to the door to greet someone, he smiled somewhat contently. Now this could be a good start for a day before work, and it.this could prove to be entertaining, he thought happily to himself and as he chewed on the German bratwurst, watching as she swayed over to the door.

Lilith took a deep breath and fluffed her leather jacket, mentally preparing herself to open the door. Fear of not knowing who was behind that stupid piece of wood was eating away at her. She finally opened the door and found an old woman, about 60, standing before her. She had grey eyes to match her short grey hair. "Ah.. hey. Name's Lilith, and you are?" The woman eagerly grabbed Lilith's hand and shook it forcefully. "Oh yes, oh yes, nice to meet you. I noticed someone had moved in and I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sarah." Lilith eyed the woman cautiously and took in every word she said. Why the hell was this lady so eager just to say hello? She literally just began moving in a few hours ago.. Lilith sighed, and tried to think of the typical way to handle the situation. Man, she was really out of practice with interacting with people.
"Oh uh, well...thanks. The place is really messy, but I'm sure I could dig out some tea or something if you wanna come in.." The woman didn't even bother answering, just smiled and walked right in. Lilith clenched a fist in a moment of irritation but closed the door and complied. She motioned towards the couch and told Sarah to sit while she got them something to drink. With a dash of added nervousness, Lilith moved to the kitchen and rummaged through her unpacked boxes, throwing things around till she finally came across a box of peppermint tea. This would have to do. She grabbed two cups, filled them with water, dumped the tea bags in, and put them both in the microwave. Curious as to what the woman was doing, Lilith crept around the corner hoping to catch the woman off guard. Unfortunately the second she peered around the wall into the living room, the woman popped up right in front of Lilith's nose. Lilith stumbled backwards, fighting off a panic attack. "Oh honey, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you!" The woman chuckled. "No, it's fine," Lilith panted out. Jesus Christ, that lady about gave her a heart attack.
After a good half hour of asking questions and sipping tea, the strange woman finally excused herself, saying she had long over stayed her welcome. Lilith choked out a half-hearted reply and wished the woman a good day before slamming the door shut behind her. She was so entirely irritated however, she flew into a rage, pacing back and forth her apartment throwing her arms up into the air."Oh my god! Now I remember why I don't have any friends! Because everyone is annoying as all hell! I mean crap, that stupid old lady must have asked me 100 questions! That's the last time I ever open that stupid door again. If someone wants to talk to me they can crash in through the god damn window." She walked to the window that faced the building right across from her, and placed her forehead and palms against the glass, catching her breath. Calming down, she fell back onto her couch and stretched. After all this she needed a nap. Unpacking could wait till later.

Having seen the majority of the scene between the new girl and Sarah, he laughed at her reaction after she left. Sarah, the older lady, was bat shit crazy, but she was still the land lord of the two apartment housings. She had come over when he had first moved in two years ago, and he enjoyed her company, albeit she was a bit nosy. Hell, that was to be expected from her though; back in her hay day she used to run with most of the supernaturals back in the 60's, and she definitely had her fun, but now she had been forced into slowing down because of her age. Some of her stories made him laugh an gasp for air though, so he tolerated her nosiness. Finishing up his food, he heard the girl talking to herself; she seemed overly stressed out from her first conversation with Sarah. He couldn't help but laugh a little at this; he found it amusing."might as well try and be the "friendly neighbor", he thought to himself. Walking into his room, he popped on a sleeveless t shirt, put on some shorts and sandals, and walked over to the fridge. Opening it up, he pulled out a couple of beers, and went over to the balcony. Speaking loudly through her open window, he said " hey neighbor, seems like you enjoyed your first visit from Sarah. Damn women can talk your ear off, best thing is to just let her finish quickly." Pulling up the two beers in one hand, he clincked them together, saying " want one? It helps take the headache away, trust me; I know." smiling amiably, he leaned over the balcony rail waiting for her answer, enjoying the cool breeze and the warm sun, and he felt himself at peace in the simple warmth, but that was probably just his natural instinct; his true self enjoyed just laying about in this weather; maybe he would just relax today and enjoy the weather. It felt good, he thought to himself, to be able to choose his hours and when he wanted to work; one of the many perks of his line of work, he thought happily to himself as he eyed his surroundings, and thought how today would prove to be fairly interesting, all things considered.
