smiling, he looked over at tyr with humor in his eyes; he had known all along that he wasn't hungry; if he was, the humans inside would not still be here. "oh no, i know that; i simply went along with it to see what direction this conversation would go." laughing loudly, he looked over at Rae speak of cannibalism. Although she had accused them of being cannibals, he knew that he wasn't; cannibalism was eating people willingly. it would be kind of difficult to explain this to someone who wasn't his kind.
"Rae, no matter what you think, I am not a cannibal; that would entail that i go out of my way to do it and search for people for the sake of consuming them. I don't do that; i consume while on the job, on appropriate targets, or on my enemies. the more aggressive species of were's need to eat, though; it's not a thought or an act, it's an instinct. like humans have instincts that drive them to do primal things, ours is to consume. It allows us to attempt to keep our sanity in check, rather than running around like our true selves. Cannibals do it for pleasure or habit; Were's do it out of necessities. Although, there are times when we get out of control, it usually lasts for a small amount of time, not nearly enough time to do any damage." finishing up his sentence, he laughed at the snow angel Tyrant was making.
"No tyrant, im not a cannibal. Although i have met them before; interesting people when they aren't trying to eat your face off." he laughed, and suddenly a wild idea formed in his mind, playing trickery and mischief as usual. Forming a massive amount of snowballs from the surrounding snow, he raised them into the air and threw them all at Tyrant, making a virtual snow storm of snowballs right at the Daemon, laughing as he did so." Mwhahahaha! first strike has been initiated!" clutching his sides from laughing so much, he watched in between his fits of laughter as the snowballs rapidly struck at tyrant. Enjoy the little things, its what keeps you sane.

Rae, despite being something of a sweet and shy person, was starting to lose patience with Vrases. He was starting, more and more, to show his youth and his similarity with the boys she had liked at school. She reminded him of Barney. Barney had been on the football team, he had been a rowing champion and he had been part of the math’s tournament. He as clever, often top of his class, his father as a rich businessman, a Duke of something too as the rumors went, and Rae had fallen (as so many girls had) head of heels in giggly childish love with his floppy hair, his slender muscles and the way he pranced about with such arrogance. She had been thirteen at the time, he sixteen, they had dated for a while until she had been taken out of school and moved to Chicago with her uncle. Vrases reminded her of him, in the way he clowned back and forth, with the way he commented on everything and as not always right, or seemed to know what he as was saying.
She let the cannibal comment go, not wanting to tell him that the definition of a cannibal was someone who ate their own kind. If he ate humans and was human then he was a cannibal, like a rodent; most rodents are known for eating the weak or dead of their kind. In fact, Rae was sure she had read somewhere that most animals were and it was the human’s ability to separate themselves from the animal, from the eating of human flesh that made them superior. But that as a discussion for another time, and one she was sure she would lose in present company.
She watched from the roof of the main cabin as they frolicked about, with no intention of joining them. There was something about Tyrant’s words that hurt her, and it had nothing to do with the fact she might die. Had she really become so serious? Her mind went back to the girl who didn’t have a care in the world, her memories served of a blonde, a daddies girl, a girl who had everything and would often look to break the rules…perhaps they would have preferred her company out there on the snow with their snow balls and snow angels. It seemed ironic to her that Tyrant should create a snow angel, and part of her thought the shape needed horns to be a true representation of the daemon. But she did not comment, just stood from her crouch position, stretched out her shoulders and slid down the side of the cabin, using the knife attachment on her knuckles to help her climb down the curved side of the broken plane.
Rae ducked under the opening, feeling the battering of the wind die away instantly and went to the corner here Lily was hiding. She gave a curt nod to the men she passed, and sat with the girl child. Even here, in this cold asshole of hell, the girl managed to look innocent as she slept. Rae stroked back the girl’s hair and sighed, sat thinking to herself. Drifting between memories and thoughts, if she was to die here today, then she wanted no part in their games. Rae did not want to die, and she would fight until the end to ensure that she did not met her maker here, but solemn and silent, she sat, closed her eyes and waited. She was finished listening to either of them and their small talk.
As she sat, her thoughts went back once more;
It was a warm and sunny day on the Embankment, the boats were out in force on the river Thames, Rachael wore a brand new summer dress and designer sunglasses as she walked with her parents and her little brother in his pram. They were going out for lunch, a picnic in Saint James park and later her father was taking her up to the stables to pick out a brand new horse, a colt, for her birthday. Today, she as thirteen, a little lady, didn’t you know?
As the sun beat down on her skin, she laughed and played with her brother, and together they caught a ladybird bug, and placed it in a jam jar, they lay on the grass, on their stomachs and she smiled to herself as her brother, still only a toddler at the time, tried to fathom out how to poke the ladybug through the glass of the jar.
She had heard a throat clearing behind her and looked up to see Barney there, in his sports wear, with his mother. Rachael knew it was his mother almost instantly, they shared the same eyes. “Hello.” Barney had grinned at her and had introduced her to his mother. Then he had asked to the summer ball, and of course she had accepted, if he hadn’t have been so handsome it would have been harder to deny him; and of course her friends would be so jealous.
[/i]
She opened her eyes and sighed to herself, rubbing a dirty hand through her hair and shivered with the cold and the pain in her side. Rae was not that girl anymore…she never would be again. [/blockquote][/size]

Tyr laughed aloud at the obvious annoyance growing on Rae's face. That and Vrases's apparent naivete/ignorance. It amused him. But he was quickly sobered at the sound of another howl. This one much, much closer.
The hybrid turned to look quickly as three large forms broke into view, running gracefully over the densly packed snow. Appearing to be exactly as Tyr had described them, he knew what they were. Likely the omega of the aklhut pack, commons all three, the hybrid readied himself, taking a quick glance around himself to see if any were attempting to sneak up on them.
Two were stealthily sneaking up on the plane from the other side. Tyr could here the screams from the humans within as they noticed the two large beasts, a pair of diving aklhut from the prominence of their fins and tail. The hybrid did not have time to deal with them at the moment, as he was being bullrushed by a trio and did not feel he could much rely on the fragile hunter girl or the werebeast.
As all of this took place in the span of one adrenaline fueled second, Tyr had little time to do anything other than call out a warning. "We have company!"

looking up, he watched as three of the large akhluts descended upon the front of the plane as two came up behind in a pincer movement. now, he finally was done with his incantation that he had been working on. rising up, he focused in on the three that were the most immediate threat, and let go of the power that he had been building, anticipating that they would come in numbers. raising his hands in the air, he glared at the three and thrust forward his hands, signaling the start. as if on que, three holes cracked from the ice bed and rushed with the force of a waterfall at the bulls that were coming at them. sweating with strain, he fought to keep the powerful creatures in place, his muscles strained as he put his full force of will to keep the creatures in place. shouting through a strained voice, he shouted "NOW TYRANT. get them while they're still!" hoping that tyrant remembered to somehow electrocute them, and watching as the duo stalked up on the plane in an attempt to take them by surprise.

The main body of the crashed and broken plane was quickly surrounded by dark shadows, shadows cast by the low winter-fall sun as the whale-like creatures began their attack. The cabin was quickly filled with yells and screams of absolute terror, and from her place within the lodge Rae could smell urine. So much for their ability to defend theirselves, this was not going to turn out well for the men within the cabin. There were two of them that Rae could see from her seated position at the back of cabin, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and watched for the longest of moments.
Unfortunately for Rae her brain was in over-drive, working out the angels here; the boys clearly had a plan and probably a good one, but Rae needed to worry about her. She needed to ensure that whatever she did didn’t interfere with the super-naturals plans. On the one hand, she needed to get out of the cabin, it was a trap, like a mouse caught in a corner she was stuck here if the great beasts came into the entrance. On the other, she had to protect the child who was quivering under a blanket beside her. Should she stay? Or should she make a break for it- and then, where would she even go? Out on the open snow to be picked off?
As if answering her thoughts, one of the men ran for it. The husband…the poor, grief stricken man who had seen the ripped and ruined remains of his wife that morning, screamed like a banshee and ran out of the plane body, out into the snow. He didn’t make it very far, skidding and falling and then they were on him. It was not quick, in fact, like cats the creatures played with him, before finally killing him. Rae’s mind was made up, though she was not happy about all of this.

Tyr rolled his eyes. "Amateurs." The hybrid muttered under his breath as he spread his legs shoulder width apart, to brace himself, and raised his arms. He could feel the welling within himself, and it cried out for freedom.
"Closer." Tyr urged, watching the akhlut close the distance quickly. He knew the husband died, but he could not bring himself to care. The akhlut who were jumping into the plane were not his problem. The three charging toward him on the other hand... Big problem.
With a small chuckle, Tyr slapped at the air and the akhlut to the far left flew to the side as if slammed by some invisible force. The hybrid did the same with the akluht to the far left, and for the one in the middle, he clapped his hands together. It was messy, but suffice to say, the beast was one part squished and two parts exploded.
Shouting back at the werebeast, Tyr said "That's how you take care of an akhlut."

letting his arms go limp for a second, he exhaled, then shouted up to the daemon. "took you damn near long enough! now how bout the others!" looking quickly, he noticed the man had run out and was quickly slaughtered; his fault for being weak and listening to his cowards side and running out when he should have stayed and fought with his kind. no longer did it really matter though. jumping nimbly up on top of the plan, he thrust out darkness around him, allowing it to envelope him and the akhlut he focused on. the creature was now his prey, no one elses. growling malevolently, he jumped at the creature, who was confused by the sudden darkness and the enticing scent of fresh meat. the creatures back to him, he felt his body throw off all restraints placed on himself, allowing for him to go into his true form. roaring viciously and feeling bloodlust envelope him, he landed on the back of the creature thanks to his keen eyes and bit down on the back of his neck; hard.
The creature was massive, but that didn't mean that he could not be killed. thrashing about, he attempted to throw off the massive tiger that was now on his back. Vrases was a difficult beast though to throw off; now he weighed more than half a ton. quickly, he let go as the creature was about the creature was about to try and throw him off his back, he let go and jumped down under the creatures massive neck, and landed on the snow. the creature had left his massive neck veins wide open, and he took advantage of the chance. jumping right into the creatures neck, he tore out part of its throat and went again for the creatures juglar. biting furiously as he did so, he clawed and raked at the creature with a vengeance. finally, he felt the life ebb away from the creature, and as it fell, he dragged it back to the plane, and began to do go out and face the second one, looking up at the daemon as he was next to the plane, smiling ferally and with a certain madness as he began to bound towards the other creature that was his prey. it seemed like his glance had said that these were his prey; the daemons prize would come later after these.

They were everywhere, big and terrible and Rae was stuck like a mouse amongst cats. She could not do what Tyrant and Vrases did so freely, she did not have their super powers, their cheats in life, she had learnt the hard way that there were some battles you picked and some you did not and this did not seem like the sort of battle that Rae should show and interest in picking. If anything, this battle seemed to be asking for trouble, and Rae had no intention of facing death and losing, not today. She had other things out there that she had yet to face, other lives and stresses. She was also waiting for an opportunity to ask Tyrant the question that had been burning in her mind since before the plane crashed; How did a human come back from the dead?
A shotgun would have been more useful in this situation, not her knuckles. Even with the blade attachments they were close combat weapons and getting close to these creatures would certainly mean death…
Of course, Rae found this out quick enough as a large nose and set of jaws broke into the plane, tearing at the already ripped side that they had been using as a ‘doorway’ and scratching into the plane’s hold with angry looking claws. With a scream another of the humans fell prey to these beasts. Rae swallowed, pressing herself back even further, counting to five in her mind and swallowing down on the fear she felt inside her.
Scrambling, knelt on all fours she remained low to the ground, moving slowly and quietly as the remaining survivors around her screamed and tried to flee. She caught up one of the bottles from the alcohol cart and Rae broke it on the floor with a shattering smash. Then, taking a jagged shard from the floor beside her she threw it, like a knife, at the creature. The glass was not tough enough to get through the beasts thick skin, but it distracted it, and the animal snorted, drawing back for a moment. This action gave Rae time to think, just enough time to think and act.
She moved to the opening and once more pressed herself back against the wall. Sure enough the best pressed its nose into the opening again, looking for another body to mangle. This time Rae was ready, with a yell she thrust the broken bottle neck into the beasts’ nasal passage as it curved around towards her. There was an ear-splitting screech of pain and anger and the nose was once more gone from the opening.
Rae was breathing hard; her hands were shaking, as she scrambled back beside the small child. Maybe the beast had learnt not to stick it’s nose where it didn’t belong? Maybe they’d have a moment’s peace?

The akhlut would not back down. Proud creatures already, these were omega. Smaller and weaker than your average akhlut, these omega were disgraced and had much to prove. If they performed well in this fight... Perhaps the alpha would allow them to return to their original status in the pack, rather than staying as hanger-ons who fed off of the pack's leavings.
The omega assaulting the plane pressed their attack ruthlessly, dragging out another of the humans, one of the burly men, but his face was too badly mauled to be easily recognized. After a few minutes of screaming and snorting out blood, the injured akhlut attacked once more with a vengeance, determined to tear apart whatever had injured it, that being Rae.
While Rae's predicament wasn't looking so good, Vrases, on the other hand, seemed to be doing quite well. The were had managed to eviscerate one of the akhlut... So, out of the five omega who had attacked, only three still stood. But not for long.
Tyr ran towards the plane, ignoring the enraged akhlut tearing at Rae's hiding place. That was her problem. The hybrid, slapped his hand against the plane, watching the one remaining of the akhlut he had knocked down eating up the distance between them quickly, a savage look of determination on bestial face, and part of the metal frame of the plane immediately reformed into a broad greatsword in Tyr's hand.
Rushing forward to meet the charging beast, the pale hybrid's flesh turned a deep, blood red, his orb's seeming to become small balls of azure fire in his head, and his hair standing up as strength flushed through his form. Tyr had gone berserk.
The akhlut came to an abrupt stop, barely meters from the raging hybrid, and leaped to the side with surprising agility for a beast so large. Tyr was too battle wisened for this small trick, though, and held his strike, waiting for the beast to stop moving before he swung his large blade towards it. The common saw no way to dodge in time, so it turned one heavily muscled shoulder towards the horizontally swinging blade which sank in a good three inches.
Tyr gritted his teeth as the blade was wrenched from his hands and the common roared. The sound so close to him was nearly deafening, but the hybrid kept his wits about him as one paw bigger than his head swiped at him. Tyr stepped in close, within the range of the swiping paw, and greeted the fanged mouth with a solid right cross with a considerable amount of power behind it. Not only did the hybrid's fist slam into the akhlut's face, but Tyr punched out with his power as well. The effect, the common's face exploded backwards from the force and the hybrid found himself pinned underneath the great bulk of a headless akhlut.
