"That sounds like a plan. Otherwise I have nothing planned for the rest of the day if there's anything else you need to get done." Tayva replied with a smile. She didn't want to waste away the whole day sitting around and doing nothing anyways, so it would help if there was more work to be done afterward.
Cleaning off Tayva's table, Talos sat comfortably, satisfied for only the time being, so long as he stayed in his human form. If he reverted back to his true self, he would only get hungry again. But since humans had much smaller stomachs, it was quicker to become not full, but instead satisfied.
"We can head out whenever youre ready, or rather whenever we get the bill." Not much longer after having said that did the waiter appear, asking if they wanted anything else, when the offer was declined, they then received their bill, with every little thing itemized. Obviously Talos' meal had been the most expensive, being the largest of the three. Though Tyler had mentioned before about not having to worry about how much was spent, Tayva couldn't help but feel a little bad about that. She didn't want to appear as if she were taking advantage of his generosity after all.

Tayva was a bit confused by the playful gesture of Tyler sticking his tongue out at her, but simply grinned and stuck her tongue back out, with Talos watching the two of them in utter confusion. With a smile, she settled back into her seat, and watched as Tyler pulled out enough cash to pay for their meal, and probably enough for a tip too if necessary.
"I wouldn't mind doing a bit of aimless wandering around the city if you dont. Honestly neither of us ever have anything really planned out, and it'd be fun to have something to do with someone rather than sit around." Tayva explained, though another reason had kept her from exploring too much of the city. It was the place that she had been mauled in by vampyres after all, and the experience had left her feeling a little bothered by venturing around alone. Even with Talos by her side she didn't feel safe. But a group of three would be more likely to deter troublemakers than a simple couple. Even if Talos was likely able to handle anything thrown at them.
"But yeah, I would like to hear more about this girl you're wanting to help. Just anything that you can tell me that'll help us out."

It sounded like an unusual situation, that was for sure. But if it was the girl's choice on wanting to go, then perhaps there was some unsaid issues going on that they weren't aware of. Perhaps that man was more of a bully than anything else. Of course they knew very little about him, which made Tayva wonder more about him. Perhaps there was some misunderstanding, but the desire to cross the border was definitely there, so something was going on.
"What does she look like? For when we pick her up that is." Tayva asked, wondering if it was possible that she could have met the girl without even knowing it. Probably not likely though, as she had not socialized with many women before. For some reason she felt more comfortable in the presence of men, likely because she could relate to them more. She was more of a tomboy at heart than a girly-girly, hence why she rarely ever dressed up in what was deemed appropriate for women.
Returning back to the topic, Tayva tried to offer Tyler a comforting smile. "You did what you could, but you gave her something important: hope. Something to look forward to more than anything. And that's pretty important in my book." she told him

Fortunately it sounded as if she would be easy to find, though it might have been tricky to get the dog relocated. From what she recalled with her earlier days with Talos, some animals had a natural unease toward dragons, considering they were top predators in the world. So getting something like a dog to cooperate might be difficult. If there was some way to put it to sleep during the flight, then there would be no risk in it squirming and falling out of Talos' claws. "Well all we can do is try, but the border isn't far, and I have a good feeling that we can make this all work." Tayva smiled.
As they finally reached their destination, Tayva and Talos stood outside waiting as Tyler prepared the three bags he had supposedly come into the city with. Tayva grabbed one bag, and Talos (who had not known that there were wheels that it was supposed to be carted around on) simply grabbed his largest bag with one hand, hoisting it onto his shoulder as if it were a feather. Perhaps an odd sight considering he did not look to be the overly muscular type that such strength could be associated with, but he had been used to carrying two people on his back without much effort anyway.

"News spreads pretty quickly doesn't it." Tayva replied with a small grin. She had yet to read anything about the incident for herself to see how they had covered it up, but it sounded like the guards were considered to be 'in shock', and their testimonies disregarded when it came to the fact that a dragon had been involved. But it did sound like she was not tied in with the incident, which was a relief.
"Yeah he was. The murders tied to him were of his colleges apparently, but all the deaths were by the hands of a vampyre that was after him. The vampyre's dead now, though of course it's not really ideal to be considered the murderer in its place." Tayva explained, a small frown forming on her face. She did hope that he would at least try to keep in touch with her, through one method or another. She hadn't even known what he was planning on doing once they arrived in Chicago, but he seemed to have some sort of plan already settled in his mind. It wasn't up for her to prod, but he could only hope he knew what he was planning on doing.

"Thanks...I really hope to too" Tayva said with a weak smile, following him toward the penthouse with Talos in tow. She knew that there never was too much local news at home, with more focus on the outside world than anything else. Maybe it was because home was boring, or there really just weren't any real items newsworthy. Whatever the case she already began to feel a little homesick when she thought back to it.
"I don't think all of them are like that. Maybe all the one's I've met, but there could be some good ones out there. Probably just a lot harder to find." Tayva noted with a frown. Gorgons were a different story to her though, but only because she had almost died that day in it's claws. The vampyres that had attacked her probably would have left them well alone if not for the mystery man that had drove them into a frenzy. At any rate, she wasn't in a hurry to meet either one in some dark alleyway any time soon.
They soon found the penthouse as Tyler first glanced upon it, and after dropping off their bags (Kyrian had not been home at the time, so a note was left behind), they soon ventured off into the city to do a bit of shopping, and plan further ahead for the meeting due in one week.
