For a moment, Gram didn't know whether to narrow his eyes or laugh out loud. The young man might have been a little under the influence but he was still probably more intelligent than anyone else in the world. He could tell his question had struck something in Tenshi and that only further confirmed his suspicions.
The young man stood and stretched some, slightly stiff from his time on the stool, turning to look at Tenshi, his pale green orbs penetrating the other man's attempt at misdirection. "A supernatural. A daemon, or an angel, or a werebeast." Gram said, watching Tenshi's face closely.
"Don't worry. I doubt anyone else would have been able to figure it out." He ran one hand through his blonde hair. Tenshi seemed cautious which, knowing the often contentious nature between humans and supernaturals, didn't surprise the young man.
"Some things I like to know, just to know them," Gram began, casually and nonthreateningly. "Supernatural or human, it doesn't matter to me. I can't help but put things together about people, sometimes."

Tenshi was a calculating sort. He tended to weigh out the pros and cons when it came to situations of this sort. Was the man just trying to see how he would respond to the matter... the accusation of being something other than the normal mortal man that stood before him? Or did he truly suspect that there was more to the man than meets the eye? After a moment of silence he takes a soft breath and shrugs "Perhaps it is only your mind making this thought because you wish it to be." he gives this side comment though he did give the man credit. And he did in fact give a small hint of the truth in his final comment "But I don't believe you are a person who seeks out information just to 'know'" he does the air quotes as he said the word. "I believe that your time is far better spent knowing facts for a purpose" he motions toward the door "But things of the nature you speak... aren't meant for the mortal world to know on a whim" and makes his way toward the door, seeing if Gram would follow.

"Knowledge is it's own end," Gram replied smoothly. "As noble a pursuit as any other." The young man cocked his head to the side slightly and raised one eyebrow, appearing slightly amused. "But if you desire I put it in other terms, then i can tell you this, in no uncertain terms," The young man continued to speak, his voice low but pitched to a volume that the other man could hear but would not carry far enough to be overheard, as he followed Tenshi.
"For some intellectuals, a hunger for knowledge can be compared to a starving man's desire for food. We breathe in data, temporarily sustained by it's infusion. But like oxygen, like sustenance, we will always desire more. Need more." The young man smiled. "By whim or by careful contemplation, all things that can be learned are meant to."
Gram brushed a stray strand of messy blonde hair from his face. "That is my ninja way."

Tenshi gives a soft chuckle as he glances at Gram "Well said. You seem smarter than your years. But such knowledge and seeking of knowledge will put you in the crosshairs of many who would keep the secret from the human world" He then turns to face the man "I can see why you are working so hard to improve upon yourself. You are not a fool. I can see that. But I suggest you find allies" he looks around a moment, then back to Gram, leaning in close "there are more creatures out there than you would ever imagine" these words were almost a whisper in Gram's ear before his ride came up. He then pulls out one more card and shows it to him "The card I gave you will allow you to contact me if you ever wish to talk." and then pockets the card once more "Don't lose it" and then turns to get in the car "I own a casino here in town. You should go check it out. Have some fun while you're still young" he smiles at Gram before the door shut and he rolls down the window

The young man didn't bat an eye when Tenshi proclaimed him smarter than his years. Gram had met many people who'd come to equate age with intelligence, but that was neither here nor there. When told there were more creatures out there than he would imagine, the young man simply grinned cockily. Although he'd already been sure of his theory that Tenshi was a supernatural, it always pleased him to have a theory confirmed.
Gram accepted the card and gave him one of his own cards, not one of common cards he used when doing business, but one of those that gave his personal number. The number of people in the word who knew how to contact him through his personal phone could likely be counted on one hand; Tenshi was now one of them. "Likewise."
The young man turned and began walking towards the black towncar that had pulled up, knowing Drew was waiting inside, patient as always. After a few steps, Gram turned back to Tenshi and the rolled down window, his face split with a grin, and called out. "You never told me! Daemon or angel?"

Tenshi chuckles as the man called out to him about being demon or angel "I am a creature of passion. That is what I will tell you now." he pockets Gram's card in his coat and smirks a bit "But if you are as smart as I think you are, you likely know already what I am. If not, well, I'll tell you when our paths meet again, of which, I'm sure they will" he sits back in his chair as the car drives off and he makes his way to his casino that lay in the heart of New York, he pulls out the card once more and looks at the number as he gets his own phone out and place the new number in to his contacts list "Gram... I feel that we will be having many a pleasant conversation in the future" he says out loud to himself "Oh yes... passion is quite a powerful thing... in work and play."
