If he had a mouth, Tau might have laughed. He certainly could afford to waste the extra energy that it would take now, with the extra filling of his still vastly depleted energy reserves. He probably wasn't going to be able to pull from his host for a while yet of course, but the mess of limbs was worth it.
A few moments of thinking determined that his record for the most people drawn from at a time was about four. It had been a pretty wild wedding reception, and by the time they were done fawning over him the ring felt more than a little violated.
Beating that record wasn't high on his list of priorities, but some fun was nice every once in a while. If he could have a good time and beat his old record at the same time, then more power to him. Literally, more power to him. It might even be enough to break him out of his shiny metal shell, god forbid.

Carissa's expression flickered with annoyance at the woman's commentary but minded her tongue. She'd be frustrated too if her helper dropped her again, on top of an aching foot. Instead, she opted to press for more information about the potential injury. She knew, at the very least, the woman would be gaining a few colorful bruises.
"Do you think you can put weight on that foot? If we're able to get to a chair, I could take a look at it- I'm a nurse" She paused to reach into her purse. Carissa pulled out her name-tag for work as proof. She didn't want this stranger to think she had some foot fetish, although, now she wondered, if being this concerned over a foot was any better of an impression. As for the child, she was less concerned but really beginning to wonder where his parents were in the store.
Carissa glanced around once more for any other onlookers but was relieved to see none were present. That would make it a little easier to move towards a chair or part ways, or at the very least less awkward for Carissa.
