NESLEY ALEKSANDR ISAIAH
Theme Song:;
description:;
Despite his height, Nesley appears as a rather lanky man with messy brown hair. His large wings are a similar color, and both of these features are accentuated with natural blue highlights due to his Rit origin. Personality wise, Nesley is a bit of a mess. He's very active and eager to get into things, but also rather mischievous and sneaky. His favorite pastime is listening in on private conversations to see what secrets he can collect. He doesn't share these secrets with anyone else, he just writes them down to keep to himself. All of this aside, Nesley has a rather odd fear of water. He won't go near rivers or lakes and absolutely despises the rain. Not even he is sure where the fear originated. He also disliked reptiles, but that's easy to explain as he once witnessed a snake devour a live bird. Sure it's how they survive, but he can't bring himself to forgive the scaled fiends.

Depending on what he's up to, Nesley has two very distinct styles of dress. In everyday, casual life, He will usually be seen wearing comfortable and non-restricting clothes with light colors. This includes a variety of baggy sleeveless T's and sweatpants. When he's up to some sort of mischief, or just sneaking about, his clothing may change rather drastically. To aid in his need to sneak about in the shadows, he will wear much darker and tighter clothing that covers more of his body. He'll even wear a dark beanie to help hide the bright strands of blue scattered about in his hair.
Transportation:;
Naturally, Nesley's preferred motives of transportation include his wings and his feet. It really only depends on how quickly he needs to get somewhere. If it's an urgent thing, he would definitely be flying there.
(Also perhaps the beast from his Beast Call, if of appropriate size)

Background:;
Nesley started off alone, having been sent off as a Rit born to an already full family. Well, he wasn't completely alone... His great uncle had opted to help him get started in the world, at least. But once he had the basics of living figured out... He was most definitely alone. He hated this feeling at first, and sought out places of large populations. Cities, of course, were his favorite. He wasn't able to just toddle right in, of course... He stood out too much. Not just the clumsy brown wings that couldn't seem to decide whether to stay open or closed, but as a Rit, he was very small at this age, maybe the size of a very tiny toddler. To be fair, he had just been born, so he was doing better than any humans his age would have. But no, back to the topic... He couldn't just toddle in, he realized. He would be captured. That was when first realized he was going to have to sneaky.
He started out just lurking on the edges of the city. It was so active, he wanted to just run on in and join the fray. He would sometimes think maybe he could find a human family to raise him. He wouldn't have been the first Fae to be raised by humans, after all. But no, those fanciful ideas were too risky. Eventually he would begin hiding in the abandoned old buildings at the edge of the city. It was certainly better than hiding in the treeline, but he had to be cautious... It was on once such occasion that a pair of homeless folk wandered into his building that he first realized he had quite the knack for stealth-- In the moments that his wings would obey. Thankfully, the homeless pair had assumed from the random flapping that they were sharing their occupancy with a few birds, rather than a tiny bird-winged child.
Nesley had loved this experience. As long as he moved quietly through the shadows, he was able to get right up to the pair and listen as they shared their stories among each other. It was a rather amazing experience, hearing these tales that weren't meant for his ears. Soon after this, once he believed he had a handle on his stealth, he began going for the houses that the homeless folk would also use. It wasn't just the stealth, either. He also seemed to just know when something was about to get too dangerous for him to stay. It was almost what he'd been wanting. Even if they didn't know it, he wasn't alone. For the time being, it was enough. Nesley spent a lot of his childhood like this. 50+ years of sneaking about in old abandoned houses.. He'd grown rather fond of it, but eventually decided it was time to move on. Or move deeper. He wasn't satisfied with living at the edge, anymore, he wanted to see what the inner parts of the constantly growing city had to offer.
His Great Uncle had told him of their species' natural ability to get past locks. It was pretty convenient, as he found he was able to get into any building he desired... As long as he could manage to reach the doorknob. Honestly, that was the hardest part. His wings were still pretty clumsy, most likely due to the lack of lessons in flying and control, but... They did help a bit. With his natural stealth, Nesley was able to move almost freely through the city at night. When he was seen, it was usually either a drunk or a homeless. Thankfully, no one ever believed the tales of the drunk or the homeless. His new favorite places to stay were old churches. He loved making his way to the very tops of the bell towers and looking out at the city.
Over time, Nesley did try to put more effort into flying. It was a very slow but steady process... Nearly a decade passed before he got his twitchy wings under full control. Of course, it was all completely worth. it. He loved flying. He'd already loved heights, but being able to fly over it all was just so much better. So, Nesley already knew about his innate abilities, his sixth sense, and stealth, but the others came as rather accidental surprises as he grew. At the age of 65, he wasn't as tiny, but was still rather childlike.
In fact, when he could hide his wings, he could pass rather well as a child and even interact with the humans! It wasn't long before his newfound confidence in this backfired, however, and his wings betrayed him. He was nearly caught by an excited human, but just barely escaped. The thing is... He escaped by changing. Into a dog. It was a dog he'd seen earlier in the day and had been thinking about. Then as he'd turned a corner to evade the human it had just sort of happened. Unfortunately his clothing had fallen off and he'd had to push it into the shadows and put on his best stray dog impression at the opposite end of the alley. The one chasing him hadn't expected a thing...
He later realized that if he focused, he could change at will, with a few restrictions. It was also very exhausting if overdone. But still very convenient. It certainly made it easier for him to get around during the day and interact with the locals without worry. Around his 70th birthday, however, Nesley decided it was time to take a break from the city and wander back into the woods. Maybe find the family he'd been cast out of and ask about his abilities. Unfortunately he was never able to find them, but, he did find that life in the forest could be just as nice as the city. It was very different, of course, but still nice.The time he spent in the forests encouraged Nesley to explore-- get out of Maine and see the rest of the world.
That's exactly what he's been doing since then. Because of this newfound need for adventure, he's even met other 'supernaturals' like him. Not all nice encounters, mind you. It was at one of these moments, upon very nearly having his life cut short, that he discovered his Beast Call. While he wasn't able to turn the tables around with just this, the distraction of his beast did very well to aid him in escaping. It's only been about a decade since that incident, and Nesley is now a hundred and thirty-two. He's still out and about to explore the world, but is now far more cautious about who he meets and will never again ignore his sixth sense.
