Italy was as it always was to Daxton, a bore. It showed nothing but poverty, even though it was among the top eight in the world's economies. Daxton hated the sites, he hated the smell, and he even more-so hated the people. However, business was business, and he had to deal with it if he wanted to keep his wealth.
Today, he had to do business with one of Italy's top mafia bosses. They were losing money, men, and supplies, and Daxton could offer only two of those things. He was to meet the boss at a theater in the city of Venice to entertain their minds while they discussed their work. Unfortunately, Daxton needed to bring a date, and he had no time to woo a woman into thinking twice of him. Daxton was not a man of wooing, and he certainly would not break his back trying to get a female in the sack.
It was fortune that brought upon him a second idea, however. Why not ask a lonely woman in a bar if she would love to go with him? It was a splendid idea, and not just because it came from his mouth. So, Daxton now rode in a gondola, painted black as the law requested, to a very fancy bar that only the well endowed would drink in, to search for a woman to spend time with this evening.
"We are almost there," Daxton said to one of his guards, excitedly. He was ready to meet the girl of the day, maybe spend a little money on her for a proper dress for this evening, and flaunt her as his for the night. What would happen afterwards, though, Daxton couldn't help but wonder.
He checked his pocket watch for the time and realized that it was still very early. He could possibly stay and talk with the woman a little bit before they left for the theater. He wasn't hoping much from her, just that she was beautiful and elegant in appearance, maybe a little more educated. He needed to make like he was flaunting an esteemed female, to show that he was an esteemed male.
The gondola arrived at a port that neared the hub. Daxton stepped off, along with two men dressed in black suits, and hurried his pace towards his destination. This took only six minutes, and as he walked through the door, still with his two large bodyguards following his tail, he paused to assess the main dining area.
Eve was inside her office dealing with business as usual. Gwen would have loved the pleasure of fixing this little problem for her, but unfortunately she was still on her way back from another business matter.
Before she could get to work, one of her men came up and quietly informed her that a man with what appeared to be bodyguards entered. It was a pretty regular occurrence for guards to accompany the guests, as many of them either had money, power, or both. Still, it wouldn't hurt to be sure they weren't here for trouble.
"I'm so sorry, but we have to cut our meeting short." Eve removed the disposable latex gloves on her hands with a little sigh. "Could one of you do the honors for me?" she asked, pointing to the one tied up and gagged. "And please take your time. He insulted my sister." Of course the one tied up had done a number of other things but the insult to her family was most personal to her, and the reason he was going to suffer a slow and painful death instead of a quick and easy one. Normally business like this wasn't handled inside her office, but it was always prepared in case something like this came up.
Eve checked herself over once and smoothed out her knee length black dress with her hands before stepping out of her office into the bar area. It was still quite early in the evening so there wasn't much of a crowd. She spotted the men immediately and made her way to the entrance. Eve smiled politely before speaking. "Good evening sir, how can I help you?"

Well, this place was... Average. Not a fancy one, but not one too poor that it was revolting. There were women all around; though, pretty entertained by their friends or by other men. As Daxton walked in, a man noticed him, then quickly moved to the back rooms.
"How much do you want to bet that they are prejudice to the British," the rich shapeshifter whispered to the guard on his left. The guard chuckled, and Daxton took in the moment. He was a very clever man, and knew how to make people laugh. Whether it was from misunderstood jokes or to jokes that weren't even jokes.
One of his guards left to find a seat. As that guard went, Daxton was graced with the presence of a young lady with bright and sunny hair. Her eyes were a shade of green, and her wonderful body was covered in a respectful black dress. She not only held a look of elegance and intelligence, but she also stood tall, like a leader. She was perfect, if only, even better due to the pale skin which she wore. Daxton knew what she was, a vampire.
"Good evening sir, how can I help you?" she said.
"Actually," Daxton began to say. He slowly walked over to the woman, outstretching his hand. If she took it, he would gently move her backhand to his lips, doing as he was always taught to do when greeting a lady. "I would like to speak with you. is there any place where we can sit and chat?"
"My office is currently occupied right now, but I have a table over in the corner if that's alright with you." she replied after she let the handsome stranger take her hand.
"I apologize my guard seemed rude a moment ago. We've been having some problems with another business, and I've ordered them to let me know if they suspect even the slightest bit of trouble." Eve said as she led the guest over to the table. Shortly after they were seated, a beautiful young waitress came to take their order. She also had brought a bottle of Eve's favorite red wine over, along with glasses.
"I haven't seen you around before. Are you here on business?" She asked the question out of politeness, but his accent made it pretty obvious. She was curious about this new man. Whatever his intentions were, she was going to find out, all while keeping a pretty smile on her face.

"My office is currently occupied right now," the woman said to his request. "But I have a table over in the corner if that's alright with you."
Daxton nodded in agreement. "You will find that I have no troubles with this, as long as we have our privacy." The female led the guest to a table, nowhere near any snooping costumers, thank god. Daxton followed her, but made sure that his men did not. He asked for privacy and he would get privacy, not even allowing his men to listen to what he was about to say.
"I apologize my guard seemed rude a moment ago," the enticing lady added. She was very polite, and acted with the grace of a queen. This made him respectfully wish to act with the might of a king, so he did. They both seemed like royalty, and they both were polite. They already had so many things in common. "We've been having some problems with another business, and I've ordered them to let me know if they suspect even the slightest bit of trouble."
"No apologies needed," Daxton told her, waving away her apology. "Your men did right, and I am not necessarily a trustful character myself," Daxton winked at her.
"I haven't seen you around before. Are you here on business?"
"Why, yes, I am on business. in fact, I will be talking business with a wealthy man today at a very expensive dinner and theater restaurant. I am in need of a date and was looking around until someone told me of you." Daxton gave her a charming smile and leaned close to the woman. "I was told many wonderful things of you. That you were beautiful, and as graceful as a goddess. However, it seemed that that person had lied. You are so much more. And I came here, in high hopes, to ask for you to attend the theater with me." He leaned away, allowing the woman to think on what he just said.
Eve was starting to like Daxton already. His flattery and charm got to her but in a different way. She didn't care whether his words were honest or an act, but it was simply his politeness and respect that was appealing. He was quite charming. Eve smiled at the man to show that she was interested in his request.
She wanted to know more about this business. She had a few ideas on who he could be working for, but couldn't be certain unless she asked or seen for herself. If it was one of her competitors, perhaps she could persuade this man to do business with her instead. It's possible he was leading her to a trap of sorts But Eve was not concerned.
"I would love to accompany you tonight. I don't believe I got your name yet. I'm Eve." she said holding out her hand. And you are?"
