"it's probably different for each pair. But I also think that some dragons can sniff out others that might have a little more in them than just your typical human genes" Chaltah replies "It could also be a mental thing. Me and Starpounder hit it off when we met in one of the local taverns, singing all the local folk songs together and sharing a few drinks."
Starpounder speaks up at this point "Mind you were were already drunk and you were looking to start a fight with some of the locals before I interjected we should sing some more songs" he grins a bit "Though it would have been fun to watch I'm sure you would have hated yourself in the morning"
Chaltah laughs at his comment "Yes, I think I would have been. But luckily I think the Irish are folks that are quick to forgive and forget what happens in the local pubs" she then turns her attention back to Gram as he asked her about the farm and any adventures they might have been on "No I can say that we haven't really been doing much but tend to the horses. Figured the trip to Egypt was enough for a while and the farm thrives nicely. Horses are a big sell in the country though I do know cars rule the road"

"I s'pose that would make sense. Two unique but similar persons, meeting under perhaps fated circumstances to join one another in sacred bond as a dragon-human draconian pair. Sounds almost like one of those corny romance novels people seem to fall in love with." Nate commented jokingly, giving a slight chuckle.
The young man sighed and ran one hand through his messy blond hair. He'd been enjoying talking to the two but he was nearly out of time and would need to be leaving soon. Even when on vacation, Gram was very strict with how he doled out his time and he'd only set aside a brief amount for the reunion. After all, he was supposed to be on vacation and Nate just so happened to relax best when he was alone and could allow himself to just stop thinking, even if for just a brief amount of time.
"I've got to be going. It was nice seeing you guys again." Nate's smile took on a sadder note, as if he were sorry to leave.

Chaltah was a little sad that Gram couldn't stick around a little longer than what he already had. But she knew he was a busy man and probably had other things better to do with his time than stand out in the middle of nowhere talking "Alright. But you know where to find us if life gets dull" she smiles and moves in to give the man a quick hug "Don't kill yourself with too much work now. Nothing is worth that much dedication" she smiles and waves as she heads into the town.
Starpounder watches her walk off a ways before looking back to Gram "We'll probably be here til the end of winter. Have a safe trip back to wherever it is you're heading." he holds out his hand toward Gram to shake "Where are you heading anyway, maybe we'll pay a visit if we aren't swamped by crowds of eager souls looking for a happier time"

When hugged, Gram didn't hug back. Such physical contact made him uncomfortable but he managed to tolerate it since it was rather brief. "Don't worry. You two would never be rid of me that easily. Besides, I am supposed to be on vacation, after all. That means I'm to smack myself if I even try to get a little research in."
Starpounder asked him where he was headed and the young man shrugged after shaking his hand. Gram didn't have the exact coordinates and he wasn't even sure the place had a proper name. What the young man did know was that he'd pretty much have it all to himself. "Some little island resort in the South Pacific that I'm renting for a bit. Not entirely sure of the exact location or name, sorry."
Nate waved goodbye to the two and began to make his way to the vehicle that would drive him to the helicopter he'd prepared to take him out to the island. The relaxing solitude would soon begin.
