Melony grew up as an average girl who took her education seriously. She was raised by her mother in Paris, and had always stayed in Paris. She had no father while growing up, and was told by her mother that he wanted her aborted, which is why she divorced him, and this is what bore a hatred of her father from Melony. While growing up, Melony would notice how when she looked at the sun, the light would flicker and dance along with her, and even turn into shapes as if it were a physical being, though she thought nothing of it. She was raised as human, and identifies as human, because her mother would have nothing of an immortal child.
When Melony turned 12, she began growing sickly, and had to visit a hospital, due to the progression and severity of her illness. She was there diagnosed with Leukemia, and had began to undergo treatments such as chemotherapy and several prescribed medications. Eventually, a month before her 15th birthday, the treatments had their affects, and she was cured of her cancer, and had made a full recovery. During her cancerous years, she had reflected much on her life, and why her father would have wanted her to be an unborn child, and why he never wanted her. She decided that she wasn't worth living, and entered a deep depression.
She received psychological therapy, and medications, for her depression, and after such a dark place in her life, it transformed her into a cold and generally uncaring person, towards other people, and only focuses on her family, and sees them as top priority.
Today, Melony is still going to school, and living a seemingly normal live thinking she is human, but all of that is about to change.
