Her most impressive use of this gift was when she once took down 12 men, noting their fighting styles from their stances, and their weaknesses from their movements. Because of this gift she is able to accomplish many impossible tasks, once earning her the status of a deadly assassin. Sometimes, however, if she experiences an onslaught of information at one time, her brain will short out like a circuit. Because of this, Helix has relied on a series of drugs to slow her mind and place her in a calming state. Unfortunately, this has led her to develop a drug problem, and is one of the main causes of her life slowly being destroyed.
Like most people, Helix is nice to those that are nice to her and mean to this who are mean to her. She has a soft spot for small children and hates perverted men. What she loves most is martial arts and she wishes to one day compete in a tournament just for the pure enjoyment of it. She has an unmeasurable pleasure for violence, even though she may not show it most times. She is most happy when she is performing assassin jobs and fighting against anyone she thinks strong enough. Sarah was adopted at the age of 3 by a council member known as Michael Vaughns. Michael Vaughns was a very wealthy elemental who wanted to do nothing but serve the true Gods of this world. He taught Sarah everything about them, including the new god which he began to worship as Ares, the god of war. Michael loved all gods, but none was more special to his heart than the main goddess, Varos Talantos. He always taught Sarah to have balance inside her and with every action she took. Never do anything bad, but never do anything so good that it destroyed her. It's because of her father that Sarah developed a neutral sense of right and wrong.
At the young age of 7, Sarah's father discovered her gift when she was able to correctly estimate the total number of jelly beans in a jar. Her father taught her the equation when she was at the age of 5, yet she was able to remember it for so long and use it as efficiently as though she had just learned it. Michael knew that Sarah was intelligent by the grades she made at school, but he never imagined her to be this intelligent. He wanted to test her mind even more, so he gave her complex ways to solve tough equations. With every question she got correctly the equations would only get tougher. He started with a simple mathematical problem for children her age then moved to college level work. Soon she was able to solve equations that not even her father could solve.
MiMichael saw a beautiful future for her on the council, but Sarah found the council boring and too uptight for her. She was never interested in keeping the balance of the world. in actuality, she just wanted to have fun and let chaos reign. Although she never argued with her father, after their beliefs crashed several times, Sarah began disliking her father and his Gods.
Sarah and her father would not officially argue with each other for a long while, though; since Sarah believed in honoring the man that kept her alive. She did not know who her real parents were and she had no mother, so her foster father was all that she truly had. She feared of him abandoning her, so she kept her mouth shut and did whatever he asked. Unfortunately for Michael, that ended on the night she turned 19. Sarah was at a club with a couple of friends that night, having fun and raising as much hell as she could, when she did something to cause a man in the club to get angry with her. The man apparently had a bad day as he took a swing at Sarah with hot rage. He missed, and Sarah dared the man to attack her again. Of course, the man did not know that she was trained especially to kill supernatural killers and attacked her again. Sarah had the man's arm snapped within a second, and was close to snapping his neck if it was not for the bouncers. They tried to stand in the way of her fun as well, so she took them down, knocking out five men in total. The only thing that could stop her then was a taser to her back.
Sarah was placed in jail, only to exit the following day. When she was free she discovered that her father purposefully bailed her the next day to teach her a lesson. Angry about this, her and Michael finally had their first argument together where she stormed out of the house, promising herself to never return to that wretched man. She saw him then as a horrible dictator and began to hate all that he loved and stood for. Balance was never the way for her, she enjoyed chaos, and the gods could go eat pig shit and die for all that she cared. She hated the gods as much as she hated her father.
One man responded to all her hate and anger one night while she was homeless. He called himself Rhys, and apparently he was a werewolf. Rhys talked with Sarah for one night, and it was as though he understood everything about her. She instantly fell in love with Rhys, and the wonderful drugs that he provided, and when she turned 20 she married him. Rhys introduced Sarah into a life of violence, where killing was the only sports that they ever had. They quickly made a name for themselves as the double helix, and soon started doing assassination jobs for gangs and businessmen. They worked up into the community until they were alpha level assassins. Rhys was the smooth talker, and Sarah was the action-woman.
Their marriage ended the very day Rhys had the wonderful notion to kill Sarah. The double helix had a heavy bounty on their heads, but no one knew who they actually were. Rhys wanted to murder Sarah and pose another dead man as the second member of the double helix. He fixed her a romantic meal then poisoned it. It was unlucky for Rhys that Sarah had caught him doing this, as she was aware of his heavy greed for money. Their marriage was starting to fall a little, and more arguments between each other were a common occurrence. It still broke Sarah's heart to have her first love try to murder her, but love no longer mattered when it came to Sarah's survival. So, while Rhys and Sarah were eating, Sarah switched their plates, and Rhys ate the poison instead of her. Rhys choked and choked, fell out of his chair, then twitched on the floor until he could not move anymore. Sarah watched him and counted the seconds that went by until his death. "83 seconds," she told herself.
Sarah burned down her home after Rhys was officially dead. She took all the supplies and ammo she could carry, then she drove for miles until she was out of the state. She still did assassination jobs, now going by the name Helix, but she no longer had an official place to stay. She was always on the run and moving from one location to another to avoid police officers.
Helix never became associated with the Antitheist until her assassination mission involving a man who was blessed by a god. She witnessed how they dispatched of this man, by killing him with scrolls instead of normal weapons, then she became fascinated with them. She did not meet them again until she had a run in with Marisa Hazel who was looking for new supernatural members for her faction. Curious about this faction, Sarah decided to join. She now works with the Antitheist and contribute greatly to their finances. With every assassination kill she performs, Helix's money goes into the Antheist's funds, allowing them to pay for anything that they need.
