Nyght was walking along the street, humming to herself as she gazed about at the scenery about her. Today, it was the beach. She was walking along, bear footed in the sand looking out upon the ocean known as the Gulf of Mexico. Here in Florida, it was a beautiful sunny day, the weather a balmy seventy two degrees. Absolutely PERFECT! She shivered in delight, digging her toes in to the wet sand beneath her feet feeling the bubbling of the surf as it swirled up around her ankles, then retreated back towards the ocean. She glanced back behind herself, looking at the foot tracks she had left in the sand rapidly being washed away by the advancing and retreating surf. A warm smile crossed her lips, and she turned around and looked to her left towards the city that was that direction. She was going to leave the beach soon, and probably set off in to the forests around the city. It was supposedly extremely wild in there, but with plenty of places to hike and go, along with all sorts of different things to do. She wondered if she would see an alligator or not.
She started walking again, humming lightly to herself as a soft breeze caught the skirt around her knees blowing it around. She had decided upon the skirt instead of her usual pants because...well, the ocean of course. She did not want to get her pants wet. She would change back in to those before going off in to the jungle. She had forgone her typical black hoodie due to the excessive heat it would have created, and her hair...well it was braided for once in to a long tight plait down her her back. She doubted that anybody she would know would even recognize her like this. She wore a loose tank top with thin spaghetti strap over her torso that snapped slightly in the wind at the edges that ended just about her own navel. Yes, not a soul would have recognized Morgan dressed like this, because she had never dressed like this before. Of course, she had never be relaxed as completely as she was right now, with the ocean washing her feet and the sand rubbing against them.

Why the hell does he not just move? Nena hated the heat that this god forsaken place always had. The humidity is what killed him. He tugged at the binder holding back his breasts. Days like today killed him. It wasn't recommended to use too tight of a binder in the heat so he was using one slightly more loose that his normal one. The only thing Nena liked about Florida was the beach. He loved the sand and the water and sometimes finding small tide pools with starfish and such in them. The animal and plant life was pretty much the only thing Nena could think of off the top his head that was truly amazing about this state. He dug his toe into the blazing hot sand and sighed. His feet were aching after a long day at work and sinking his toes into the hot sand was practicing like a pedicureven to him. A gaggle of teenage girls in brightly colored bathing suits walked by and looked at him and giggled. He smiled and wave and one blushed fiercely and scurried along. He shook his head and smiled. He was used to it. Most people simply didn't know what to think of him. Shortly after that he noticed a woman in a flowing skirt walk by. 'Cutie.', he thought to himself. "Hey!", he called out after her standing up. He jogged slightly to catch up to her. "I like your skirt.", he said looking her up and down,"Actually your whole outfit is nice."

Nyght blinked as somebody suddenly shouted. She paused in her walk along the beach, tilting her head and looking behind her towards the source of the voice she presumed was calling to her. Perhaps she was wrong, and it was somebody calling to somebody else but it just seemed like it was directed at her was all. She noticed...a man. At least it was what she perceived as a man approaching her from behind. She turned around and smiled towards the male, and nodded her head upon receiving the compliment and blushed just ever so slightly.
"Why, thank you. Though I almost never dress like this, this is just for walking along the beach." She smiled and looked the other person over from head to to, wondering who this was and if they where some sort of supernatural being or just another human. She could not seem to tell just from a cursory look over, and thus knew if it was a supernatural being they where somehow hiding what they where. That is of course unless they where a elemental, which meant they would look exactly like a human. That was what she was, after all and she didn't look like anything special. She slowly extended her hand towards the other person and offered it to shake. "Hello, call me Nyght. What is your name?"

Nena smiled back. He took her hand and shook it. "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Nyght. Lovely name.", he said. He dropped her hand and replied, "My name is Nena." He looked around at all the people on to beach and wiped some sweat off of his forehead. "It's so fucking hot in this state. Are you a native or just visiting?", he looking her up and down, "I'm here pretty much every other day and I'm not sure if I've seen you here before." It was true. Even though he hated the heat, Nena was at the beach pretty much at least once a day. The beach was calm and soothing, perfect for relaxing after a hard day.
Nena worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier and on the weekends he worked as a cake decorator in the bakery. While he loved the bakery, he hated the idiots that came into the store. He like to come here and blow off steam by throwing rocking into the ocean or working out.

She smiled as the male took her hand and shook it. Once released, she brought it back to her side and watched the male as he gave a name in return. She hadn't given him her real name...but this was the name she preferred over her real name. So she didn't feel like it was much of a lie. When he mentioned not seeing her here before, she smiled and slowly nodded her head.
"A please to meet you Nena, and yes I am visiting. I've never been here before and just wanted to get out to an American beach and see the ocean. I am planning a trip in to the jungle pretty soon, or at least that is what it looks like. I think they call it more of a...what is the right term? Swamp I believe?"
She smiled, pushing a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear that had blown across her eyes. It was tickling her nose and distracting her vision. With it safely behind her ear, she looked around at the beach and all the people.
"I have to ask though, would you really be able to pick my face out amongst all these other people? There are so many of them."

Nena smiled slightly. "Swamp is the correct term, yes.", he replied, "And yes, I probably would. I'm kind of a people watcher. Even with only one good eye." He laughed a little at the last bit.
Some more people walked by and Nena glanced over at them. "For example", he started,"That tall black hair woman walking with the skinnier fellow? They're here once a month at least, thought their spouses don't know that. Annnnnd the little girl and her mom come here pretty much every day. There used to be a man with them, whom I am assuming was the father, but I believe he passed away. I figured that over divorce because the mom doesn't seem angry when she comes here."
He sat back down where was originally. He patted the spot right next to him and smiled. "Want to sit and talk some more? I can show you around some of the swamp area in a little while if you'd like.", Nena offered.
Nyght watched as Nena explained some of the people walking past, wondering if Nena was being nosy or simply extremely observant. She decided to settle on the later, wanting to try and think positive. She slowly moved over when offered a spot and running her hands down her legs she pressed her skirt flat and slowly sat down. She gazed out towards the ocean quietly for a moment in silence before speaking.
"You are very good at watching people....but do you not have your own life to live, though? Someplace you call home, and people you call family to spend time with and enjoy their company?" She asked it nicely, wondering why Nena would spend their time down here by the ocean watching everybody else instead of spending time at home with friends or family. It was a legitimate answer, and she was curious to see how it was answered.
"Yes, I think I would enjoy you leading me through the swamp very much. I would hate to get lost in there and not be able to find my way out again for a while. I hear it is beautiful, but can also be dangerous especially after dark." She smiled at Nena, the sun shining on the side of her face as she turned it to look at them.

Nena was a little taken back by Nyght's question. Sure he did have a family, but he would rather be out here than at home with his parents. It's not that his parents weren't wonderful people, Nena just was tired of spending all of his time with them. They were extremely friendly and warm people, but they always wanted to talk. Nena sometimes grew tired of talking to normal people. He longed for conversation with someone like him. Someone not quite human.
"I do have family, yes. I'm an only child, but I have both my parents and they're lovely people.", he said simply, "I just really like to get away sometimes. Yes. The swamp areas can be very dangerous at night. All sorts of animals live in the swamp that would be more than happy to take a large chunk out of you."
Nena noticed that the sun was getting low in sky. If he were to show Nyght around where she wanted to go, they would need to get going quite soon to be on the safe side.

Nyght contemplated Nena's words, running her fingers under the sand of the beach idly as she did so. She supposed she could see Nena's point of view, in wanting to get away from family sometimes. After all, was that not exactly what Nyght was doing? Getting away from her mother and father both? She suppose her reasoning was different from Nena's, what with the family fight between her mother hating her over being a super natural being, and her father wanting to sacrifice her in some Celtic ritual or something like that. Yet was not the basic concept there, wanting to be away from family for the betterment of oneself?
She glanced at the sky, seeing that it was past noon. She pulled her fingers from beneath the sand and brushed her hands together to knock the sand off. Then she stood up, and reached out offering Nena her hand to help her stand up as well. "Well, if we wanna get going in to the swamp, we had better get moving."
She began to walk towards the city, away from the beach needing to change her cloths if she wanted to go in to the swamp. She wasn't about to go in a skirt and normal shirt, that was for sure.

Nena got up and brushed the sand off of himself and gathered up his things before going to catch up with Nyght. She seemed incredibly interesting to say the very least. It was almost as if there's was more just under the surface. Nena was excited to have someone to hang out with finally.
"Hey", he said, "Do you want me to wait for you somewhere or go with you? Honestly I'm okay with whichever you'd like to do."
He was walking next to her now matching her stride. It was a little, almost not noticeable, quirk he had. After a year or two in marching band, he naturally fell into step with people when he walked. It wasn't something he tried to do, it just happened naturally at this point.
"By the way, why exactly are you so interested in walking around a mucky swamp? Most people come to Florida and want to see the beaches.", he asked.

Nyght walked along, and looked back over at Nena and smiled. "Of course you are coming with me...I would not know where to go to find you again." She paused, waiting for a light before crossing the street to the other side and walking towards a hotel room. She walked inside and over towards the stairs. She always took the stairs, she did not like the thought of being trapped inside a closed, metal box that was entirely dependent upon electricity and human ingenuity.
"Oh, I want to go and see what there is to see. I wanna see the alligators, and the animals, and everything else. I've never been in a swamp before. We don't have any swamps in Europe, at least none like here. The swamps of Florida are reknown, and I would love to be able to get out in them and learn. I think it would be neat to take one of those boats that are pushed around by a fan...an airboat I think they are called?"

Nena followed behind Nyght closely crossing the street with her. He thought it as odd that she took the stairs instead of the elevator. 'Maybe she's just trying to stay fit?', he thought to himself. Nena wondered if she was staying alone or if she had friends they might be coming as well.
He nodded listening to her speak. "Well there are plenty of animals in the swamp. It's where the vast majority of the wildlife are located. It will be a bit of a fight getting through everything so I would recommend wearing some boots if you have them and thick socks. It will be hot, but it will help keep your feet from keeping water logged. You do not want to have your feet soaked. If you have a hat, it would also be a good idea. Bugs and smaller animals will drop down from the trees and land in your hair and trust me, that's not something you want."

Nyght went up the stairs to about he six floor then pushed the door open and held it for Nena. When Nena passed through it, she let the door close then moved down the hall past an ice vending machine, a few food vending machines, and then turned left down the hallway. She came to her hotel room door, and slid the little plastic card key into the handle. When the door beeped, and the little light turned green she turned the handle and opened the door in to the hotel. She stepped inside then held the door open for Nena, then let the door close and looked around.
"Just a simple hotel room, nothing amazing. I'll change really quick and then we get going." She went and grabbed some cloths from her bag and went in to the bathroom, closing the door and changing quickly. She then came back out a few minutes later, clad in black jeans and thick socks. She was wearing a tight white t-shirt above that. She went to the bed and sat down upon it and folded her skirt and blouse and set it inside bag. She then grabbed her hiking boots and pulled them on and began to lace them up and tighten them down. With deft fingers she cinched the strings tight then stood up, and grabbed a baseball cap and pulled it on to her head, feeding her ponytail through the hole and pulling it down upon her head.
"Alright, let's get going! I wanna see some of these creatures and plant out in the swamp."
