A booming voice reverberates over the horizon of a once tranquil morning. This sound disturbs a colony of birds from their nests, forcing them to form a sea of consternation within the sky. Far off in the distance, trees are rattling viciously among their trunk, and some are beginning to plummet from their roots, adding more pandemonium to the already terrifying voice.
Next to those trees is a small village filled with small sentients with hooves for feet and fur for hair. These life forms are wise, and even though they cannot understand the booming voice's origin, they knew that there was only trouble approaching their way. They begin to ring their bells, warning anyone in the immediate area of the forthcoming menace. They knew that they could not battle what was coming, for they were peaceful farmers who never imagined having a single taste of war. They grew wheat, they raised animals, they healed their weak, but they never spilled blood.
But today... Well, today was a new day...
The women, the children, and the sick all exited the village, leaving the men of old and young to defend their wealthy land. The tiny creatures gathered their pitchforks, their torches, and the most dangerous animals they could control, and they stood their ground in the middle of their home. They weren't going to be easily deterred by this unknown monster. They still had something to live for, they had families, and they had the goddess they loved watching over them. They were not going to back down...
When they were ready to fight, the world suddenly went quiet. The monstrous roars stopped, and not even the birds dared to make a chirp. The fauns could only hear their own frantic breaths, nothing more. Some gripped their weapons intensely, holding onto them as though they were holding onto their very life. They all huddled together in one great big circle, amounting to a total of twenty. They were a miniature army, and they probably were able to handle this creature, if only their sweat weren't dripping with... Fear...
It came from the forest, tossing the vessel of a tree into the middle of the group. Seven creatures were nearly crushed to death, but they were luckily able to dive out of death's grasp. There was no telling how long that would last, however.
The monster that was roaring before began to trudge into the village. It's footsteps brought quakes upon the ground, dropping several of the tiny fauns to their knees. The beast looked at every single sentient with a lethal glare, and several began to shake. This creature was like nothing these beings had ever seen before. It's head was so high that it could almost touch the clouds, it's hands were so giant that it could probably squish every sentient's heads with just a thumb and an index finger, and its body seemed so strong that it could probably lift one of these beings to the very moon. This monster was larger than anything these life forms had ever seen, and they didn't know how they would possibly deal with it.
The beast's hardening gaze locked on every single life form within the circle of twenty once again, and then began to inhale a gargantuan amount of air. When it released that air, with a large deafening below, it said: "WHERE IS BEAST?!"
No one understood what it said, so they conjecture that what it did was let out a war cry. In response, every tiny sentient sent out a midget servant and ordered it to attack. The even tinier life forms fired out a frenzy of fire and light, all in the form of orbs. The monster flinched at each orb, tumbling backwards and growing in fury. The beast was becoming angry, and the other creatures wouldn't like him when it was angry.
The unknown creature began to expand, its size dilating by two-fold. It continued its growth until it's head literally touched the clouds, then it yelled: "PUNY GOATS DO NOT CHALLENGE THE BEAST!"
The beast lifted one leg into the air, then sent it clashing into the villagers. This one stomp created a devastating shockwave that could be felt from miles away. The villagers that once stood tall underneath the gaze of Nysa were no more, smushed beneath the mighty foot of the beast. Their bodies were now probably molded together to form one section of dead organic matter. Fortunately, there was no evidence of this, as all that was left from this battle was dirt and a colossal fissure shaped as a foot.
The Beast no longer saw any need for being around this area, so it shrunk back to his normal size and trudged back into the forest, and disappeared.
