A bad week at work, plus a few extra bucks? It was the perfect equation for a trip to the local bar downtown.
Sliding onto a barstool, Aela signaled to the bartender. "Fireball, please." After filling a shot glass with the honey colored whiskey, he slid it across the counter to her. Tipping the cup back, she downed the contents with a single gulp, relishing the burning, tingling feeling it brought.
After another shot, Aela rolled her shoulders. She was beginning to relax, but she had to stop there. Any more here and she might end up waking up in some stranger's bed in the morning. Who was she kidding? She was an adult! If she wanted to get drunk off her ass and get laid by a stranger, she could damn well do just that!
But that wasn't the point of tonight. All she came for was a few shots and a familiar atmosphere to wind down after a rough week. She had beer in the fridge at home, so if she actually wanted to get drunk, she could do it in the safety of her home.

The man stood in corner. He was shuffling a deck of cards slowly on the table in front of him, humming softly to himself. He looked up occasionally, watching as people came to and from the bar and sat around. Nobody really interesting had show up as of yet, and so he had not made a move upon anybody. He had amusing one slightly drunk girl and her boyfriend with a balloon animal he had made, a blown up bunny which has for some reason he could not fathom gotten the girl 'in the mood' and so they had promptly left to go frolick together somewhere or another. He did not really care, he was after somebody by themselves to begin his plans.
When a lone female came in, the painted face man raised an eyebrow. He watched her intently, his hands pausing in the shuffling of his cards. The female seemed fit enough, and she might be easily manipulated. So the male quickly slipped his cards away, and pulled out a condom packet. Yes, a condom packet. He palmed it, then walked over and sat down beside Aela and eyed her for moment. When the bar tender came over, HarleQuin waved him away and smiled at Aela, his painted face full of life and amusement.
"Hey pretty lady! Would you like to see a magic trick?" He asked, opening his palm to reveal the condom packet inside his hand. He quickly tore it open, and brought it up to his lips. He proceeded to blow the condom up, and tied off one end of the condom. His hands then began to move upon the latex, bending it and twisting it in to a new shape. He suddenly set the condom down upon the table before her, in the shape of a doggy. He chuckled softly, and using his power to cause illusions, he caused the little doggy's tail to begin to wag and the blown up condom doggy to jump around in a circle. He let the illusion stop, and clapped his own hands energetically. "Oh, that was great!"

Just as she was about to get up and walk out of the bar, a man with a painted face - much like a clown's - sat on the barstool next to Aela. At he proposed a magic trick, she raised her brow but said nothing. When he proceeded to pull out a familiar-looking foil condom package, Aela resisted the urge to burst into laughter. After a moment of blowing and twisting, the man produced a balloon dog, setting in on the counter in front of them.
Before she could comment on his 'handiwork', the balloon animal started to move. As it jumped around on the wooden counter of the bar, Aela figured that the only way this would be possible would be with the usage of some kind of power - much like the couple of skills she possessed.
"That was fantastic." Aela said, shrugging her shoulders as if to say 'you win'. "I didn't expect it to start jumping around like an actual dog." She chuckled. "What's with the face paint? Just get off of work?"

HarleQuin grinned as she complimented his work, full of excitement and mirth. He clapped his hands together again, then reached in to his pocket and pulled out a pin. With a swift dart, he popped the balloon and it shoot off in to the air, landing in somebody's drink. He blinked, eyes going wide and turned around and acted like nothing had happened.
When she asked about his face paint, he frowned for the slightest of seconds while his eyebrows came closer together and he glared at her. The look vanished only a split second later, leaving the idea that possibly it had never been there to begin with. He was smiling and his usual cheery self all over again.
"Oh, my face? Well, if you must really know I don't do any true work. I live off the wonderful cheerful, caring donations of others whom I offer a few laughs and a way to feel better about themselves. So in a sense I live my work. I simply never take the paint off...because...well... Once a long time ago when I was a child my mother was cooking dinner. I accidentally got under her feet, and she stumbled. I got a face full of searing oil that has left my face all scared up. So I leave my make up upon to hide my ugliness, because I wouldn't want to scare people. I just want to see them... Smile."
