Welcome to Post Apocalyptic Chicago where everything has changed. The city of Chicago has been surrounded by a wall for hundreds of years, separating Chicago from whatever lays beyond the wall. The city of Chicago is divided up into factions: Dauntless, Candor, Erudite, Abnegation and Amity. Each one has their own unique trait. Those from Dauntless are Brave. Those in Candor are honest. Those in Erudite are smart. Those in Abnegation are selfless and those in Amity are peaceful. They all live together in harmony, that is until Jeanine decided to hunt down Divergents and the factions turned on each other.
Tris, Caleb, Four, Christina and Peter all decided to go beyond the wall once they received a message (that Tris opened) from the founders of the city. It told them to go beyond the wall because they were waiting for them. It's been about a year since they have gone beyond the wall. They are finally back in Chicago and the factions are back in order and everyone is getting along and working together to rebuild the city. Four is the leader of Dauntless and Tris is his second in command. They both work together to help bring the city back together and function as a civilized society.
That is, until Four's sister returns to the city of Chicago after being gone for 16 years. Four's sister was kidnapped at the young age of 6. She, in fact, went beyond the wall and has been living there and watching the city of Chicago for years. She was put to work as soon as she was old enough to understand what was going on. When Tris, Four and the rest came beyond the wall, she was hidden so she couldn't be found by Four on accident. Sarah had been pissed and after they left, she had a falling out with the founders and she left. Now she's back in the city of Chicago and no one knows who she is, why she's there or where she even came from. But she has one mission in mind, find her brother and make a name for herself. And if she happens to start a faction war then so be it.
