Standing at the side of a corner, the short female's blue eyes were peering around the large buildings about her. To put it simply, she was lost; but then again, San Francisco California was a rather large city for her. Alice inhaled slowly before letting it out just as slow, this was to keep herself calm. " Well.. Butterflies of Chaotic Doom.. Where am at?" She muttered quietly before a distinctive demonic-like voice spoke in her mind 'That's because you're stupid and don't know what you're doing.'"Pfft, like you would know." Alice muttered out loud before pushing away the following thoughts that her mental disorder would come up with.
After a few concerning looks from passerby, Alice forced her right leg forward and then her left leg to get herself to start walking. It wasn't everyday that a person would catch her outside of her home town and city, but then again, she was weird when it came to this. She stood on the corner of Mission and some other street, recalling the events that lead her here. It had happen just this morning, her mother had told her that she was going to go to a private school and she didn't feel like going to such a thing. So what had happen is that she took money from her mother, quite a big amount, and decided to get on the first flight available and that happened to be San Francisco, California. Alice quickly shook her head, sending her black and blond strands of hair to sway about her face before coming to a complete stop.
"Where am I to go.. Better yet, where's a hotel?" Alice said. Concern looks came from passerby once again, this was starting to irritate her; she was just as normal as the next person, or so she thought. Deciding to get off of what she was thinking, she raised her shoulders up in a shrug and decided to turn right, walking down a street. She would walk around until she found someone to help her or bumped into some form of food and sleeping establishment until she could figure what to do from her sudden events.
Reading through an old newspaper, Gilerath was trying to wait for a mere bus. How dared these humans? To make him wait was unheard of! Him, who lived through more generations than any of them could fathom. Still, the earth was not trembling in his wake. The sky was still there and clouds were not hurried by the gaze he cast; it was fair to say he was irritated.
In old era Japan, lesser castes would be executed or would commit suicide willingly for being this late. Alas this was America, and the whole free speech and personal freedom things ruined all of the fun. All of the cities looked the same now, eyes tired and flashbacks of distant memories vague in his mind. Enough! Such insolence would not and could not be tolerated any longer!
Finally as he was getting up, the bus he was waiting for the entire time passed by as if he wasn’t even there. Perhaps the driver was lucky to decide not stopping was in his best interest; for the way Gilerath’s eyes flickered it was clear that he would need to learn handless driving. So sheepish, naïve and so blind; fearful too… yet interesting. The humans were indeed a strange breed; lesser, but still unknown.
Spotting a distant girl talking to no one visible, he decided to tag along. He could hear her. She was lost, and that played in his favor. The girl could be taken anywhere under false pretenses and she could be convinced of anything with enough deception. Boring was not his forte so instead of going after her, he quickly ran up to her.
“Run quickly, they are coming!” his aura radiating with fear and power both. Hoping she would not notice that he was the source of her newfound fear; he waited for her to react.

Alice was looking at the buildings and their names, her attention and thoughts were else where by the time the man had ran up to her and spoke. A soft squeak escaped from her vocals before her lips parted to ask a question, "Wait, what?" The female's eyebrows drew together as the confused look played across her face, stopping in her tracks to speak to the stranger. 'You're a slut for speaking to this stranger.' the voices uttered silently. She bit down on her lower lip in a manner of controlling her mouth and what she said. The only thing that anyone could get any unusual movements from her was by the way she raised her hand to rest it on the top of her head. Then it suddenly hit her, she felt afraid of something all of a sudden and couldn't pin point.
Moments later, she decided to shrug it off as her schizophrenia worsening. She didn't want that at all, her breathing increased suddenly at that thought before she was able to talk herself out of thinking it. She then looked down at the ground for a moment before casting her gray blue eyes up to the man "Uhm, you seem like a local here. Do you know where I can find an establishment that has both food and a sleeping arrangement within it? Preferably a hotel." Alice asked rather quickly before the cars that passed by caught her attention, peering into each one to see if she was losing her mind even more than what she had already thought.
" My name is Alice, what's yours?" She asked, seeming perfectly fine at the moment, but given the current circumstances, she couldn't be like herself. She needed some sort of help, even if that means talking to who seemed odd and every sense of her screamed at her as if she were danger. But she simply decided to ignore these warnings and continued talking to him. She would also have to buy new clothing, but could wait until later.
Stupid girl! Why didn’t she run away like all the others? She just ruined his fun, or did she? Her appearance both afraid and confused left him wondering whether or not he should keep trying to play mind games with her. Still, in the end he could not be bothered by her silly mood swings and so he wasn’t. Turning to her slowly, Gilerath did his best to remain calm even while he wanted to rip her throat out for being so boring.
“Actually I was just heading in that direction myself!” he lied. “How would you like to accompany me, and I will show you where to turn for the hotel?” he poked at the situation carefully. It was always easy to grab her by force, but not only would he be risking the destruction of his precious suit; but it would also put him at a considerable physical strain.
Would the girl be naïve enough to follow him or would he have to be extra persuasive? Well, that was up for fate to decide, or whoever handled such daily notions.

Alice stood there for a moment, as if considering his thought. But what made her somewhat irritated was the fact that he hadn't mention his name. The female's head shook quickly, "No, but thank you for your kind offer. You don't seem all that nice." She replied before turning away to walk in a random direction, if the man was to persist in speaking to her, she might just throw up her mental illness as an excuse for not wanting to follow him. She could even attempt to lie.
Seconds later, she turned away, her eyes focusing on several buildings before deciding to take off in that direction in a brisk walk. There were restaurants lining the streets and she figured where there were restaurants, there surely was a hotel near by, but she could be wrong. She reached down into her pocket, pulling out her mp3 player along with it's earphones, pushing them into her ears before switching the player on quickly only to jump at the sudden noise that blasted powerfully through the tiny speakers. At this point, Alice didn't even care if she was sneaked up on or not.
Gilerath couldn’t care less if he was nice or anything concerning it, but there was still something he needed to do for fun. Going after the girl, he started taking his jacket off slowly; followed by his shirt. Immediately after wings sprung out of his back; wings of pale ashen colors, almost as if they were carved in stone.
He knew better than to show his true form in such mundane environment, but he was far too old and far too bored to care. So what if a few dozen humans got admitted into sanatoriums because of witnessing the truth? The only people that even could do anything about knowing something would deny the existence of any such occurrences completely. Well, either that or they will come to hunt him down; either way he would not be disturbed much.
Running after the girl quickly, he used the air beneath his wings to propel himself off the ground before reaching his hand out to grab the female’s shoulder. Unless she knew he was coming long before he was there, or unless she was a supernatural being herself; there was hardly any hope for her to dodge him, or so he thought. Should he succeed in grabbing the girl, he would quickly sprung so high from the ground that the people below would look like ants and he would look like a bird.

Her eyes were taking in signs that seemed like they were decorated all of the place, the voices in her head was sushed and she seemed to be enjoying her stroll. Alice even figured that the man who was kind enough to speak to her had turn the other way, but she was wrong, boy was she wrong. The moment she felt something grab onto her shoulder was when her eyes grew wide and inhaled to keep herself calm. The female quickly raised an arm, making sure she had curled it around what she had considered a creature. By this point, an earphone had fallen out of her ear and she was maneuvering herself to turn around to latch onto it.
After she had seccussefully done this, Alice raised her eyes to look up at what had got ahold of her. It was the man from earlier, but how could he be flying? Her eyes searched about the male until they landed on the wings, and in her opinion, they were beautiful. She mentally smacked herself, curling her arms about the man more to keep herself from looking down. " My mental condition is worsening. This is epic. That or the air has intoxicated me, because this isn't real. The man who had tried to help me earlier cannot have wings and cannot be flying off with me like some weird angel." Alice only seem to say these words quickly to reassure herself. She turned her head quietly, strands of black and blond hair was now moving about her face as she looked downward at the ground.
He literally had a human female in his fist as he flew high above the ground. The air soothed him, and if not for the smells or urban life disturbing his mind; he would have been in the highest of spirits. As the girl struggled a bit to latch onto him, he could not help but feel mildly entertained. He knew humans long ago, but humans he knew were never so helpless; never so weak.
Finally Alice, he thought her name was, spoke and even then she couldn’t do anything besides make him laugh. “Do I really look like a freaking angel? Have you no imagination?” he paused for a bit before going on: “This is not an apparition, you may be sick, but this is as real as the world gets from my point. Weren’t you looking for a hotel? I think I can see one from here…” there he stopped, pulling her up higher so her head was almost at level with his.
“Take this, if you drop it, I will drop you. Remember this is not a dream, if you fall, you will die!” he laughed as he finished with placing what clothes he took off in front of her. Should she take it, he would grab her by the other shoulder as well.
“So why don’t you scream, human?”

This is real? This can't be real. Was he serious? Alice thought to herself before shaking her head quietly, moving her arms to curl around the clothing he handed to her. She didn't feel like being dropped only to face death. " Well, forgive me for only watching horror movies with.." Alice trailed off in her sentence, her nose scrunching up in a child like manner. He might be a demon, but the only demonic-like movies she seen was based around exorcisms. Alice kept her mouth closed for a few more seconds.
" Well, maybe a demon. But aren't they cruel?" She asked, ignoring the question he asked about her screaming. She didn't scream because she didn't look down, she knew all to well of not being on the ground and she was fine with that, unless she looked down. Alice tightened one arm around the clothing while reaching up to push the ear bud back into her ear but kept one ear free to hear any question; she used music as a distraction. She didn't expect the man to keep talking to her. After what seemed like a while for her, she parted her lips.
" I don't scream because I'm not stupid enough to look down. Once I look down, I'd drop your clothing and you'll drop me.. I don't feel like dying today. I just don't let fear get to me, why waste time with life?" She then lowered her arms back around the clothing. " Where are you taking me?" Alice asked, knowing it wasn't the last question, it didn't even cross her mind that she was holding some of his clothing.
Watching horror movies? How cute was that? The only thing this lesser existence knew about him came from crap fueled propaganda that demons mostly started themselves. Looking down at the girl, he laughed so hard that he almost dropped her for a moment.
“Cruel? The world is cruel, I am merely best suited for survival among us!” he trailed off quickly after the shout only to resume a moment later. “Did they not tell you not to speak with strangers, human? Did you not listen?” he teased, but without waiting for a response, he continued again. “Who ever asked you for fearful screams? Those can be screams of pleasure, screams of surprise, maybe even..”he clenched his right hand hard around her shoulder, just enough not to break anything. “… pain and agony.” Then again on a whim, without waiting for her to react, he went with his next idea.
“Welcome to Wonderland, Alice! How long do you wish to stay?” he inquired, seemingly decent all of a sudden. Gilerath smiled, this was something he enjoyed, if only for a moment.

Alice stared up at him as she waited for him to finish speaking until she felt a sharp pain shoot from her shoulder down to her feet, a soft yelp of pain escaped from her vocals. She couldn't even put together what was happening in her mind. Alice in Wonderland, how unique. The female rolled her eyes for a moment before fixating her eyes on the ground, that's where she wanted to be. " Well.. Madhatter, all I want to be is on the ground. And how ever long you would like me to stay." She said quickly, her arms curling around the bundle of clothing.
Hopefully, he took it as she wanted to be placed on the ground instead of dropped, that would be a horrific event that she didn't want. After a few moments of pure silence, she forced herself to look back up at the demon, her head tilting to the side. " You still haven't told me where you're taking me, Madhatter?" Alice asked as politely as she could. The female then proceeded in in pulling the article of clothing about her neck, tucking the ends underneath her shirt so that they wouldn't fall.
Within the next second, her arms raised up so that they could curl around his neck, it wasn't that she was afraid, for she very much was beginning to become afraid of the situation, it was the fact she didn't trust him. He was a demon, and this might still be a hallucination. 'You so stupid. You run away from home and then you get yourself into trouble. How stupid can you be, retard?' The voice practically shouted at her. Alice let out a groan, leaning her head forward to rest her forehead on the demon's chest. The shouts didn't come into play after she left, she thought they were gone.
