Description: Xerxes or as he prefers to go by Zacharias or Zach, has his two main forms because of his sphinx nature. Zacharias true form is that of a sphinx, a creature from mythology with the head of a human and the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle. Zacharias has white fur all over his body. His mane and the end of his tail are however a deep blue color, along with the feathers upon his magnificent wings. His face is also blue, and he has large jet black talons.
Zacharias chosen human form is that of a young male, in his mid to late twenties. He appears athletic, like one would expect a person who spends a lot of time outdoors instead of the kind who bulks up using weights. Shoulder length brown hair hangs about his head, through which gaze piercing blue eyes. His flesh is tanned heavily from spending a lot of time in the sun. In his human form, Zacharias stands at about five feet and eleven inches tall.
Weapons: Zacharias carries two weapons upon his person. He carries upon his left hip a Persian style scimitar that he wields with his right hand.
His left hand is encased in a gauntlet that protects his left forearm up to his elbow as well as the back of his and wrist. His fingers are encased in armor, and extendable and retraceable claws reside upon his fingers. He wears this weapon in his human for because he feels that it helps personify his animal form as well, giving him the claws he has forsaken to take the human form.
Apparel: Zacharias has two outfits he alternates from, depending upon what he things is going to happen. His first outfit, and probably his more common one consists of a simple white short sleeve shirt which ends at just past his shoulders and is left open baring his chest, over which he wears a leather coat that comes down to his hips. This coat has triangular patterns of leather sewn upon it for artistic detail as well as functionality to help protect Zacharias. His pants are light brown, baggy pants that held up with a belt that also holds the sheath to his scimitar. He wears calf high leather boots or sometimes simple sandals depending upon what the weather is suppose to be like, but he prefers the boots for functionality. He also wears two scarves, one red and one blue, wrapped around his head.
The other style of clothing Zacharias wears is specific when he knows he is going in to battle or a fight. He wears a thick leather vest that helps to protect his torso more than his shirt and jacket. It has a large metal medallion upon the center of it, above his solar plexus. At this point he typically forgoes his turban style head wrap, simply leaving it behind at home so as not to run the risk of entangling in it or giving his enemy something to grab upon.
Vehicle: His wings in his true form, or a black Arabian horse he owns named Roksana

MENTAL;;
Personality: Zacharias attitude is complex, as could be expected from a being whom is quite old and seen quite a bit. He is quite relax and easy going for the most part. Do not let that fool you in to thinking Zacharias is a push over, however, for he will never allow somebody to walk all over his beliefs and values. He is not afraid to speak his mind, but only does so if he believes that there is a point or reason to do so. If it is clear that nobody would listen, he would simply save the energy and not waste the effort or time. He is extremely loyal to his friends, but tends to show some aggressive and sometimes violent tendencies due t his animalistic side.[/font][li]Animals[/li]

PAST;;
History:
Born as Xerxes Zacharias Zephyr Zoltan to two sphinx parents, sometime around the year 550 BC (or as later historians want to change it up BCE), the male was born to two Akkadian sphinx warriors. Both of his parents where terrific warriors, true embodiments of what sphinx where suppose to be who fought for the gods and goddesses of Shangri-la both in the Khyper-diorem and upon Earth itself. Zacharias grew up knowing how to fight, and relished it the spilling of blood and yet the young sphinx was not as ruthless and blood thirst as most would believe of somebody brought up from the birth to fight. Despite the fact that he worshiped and followed the Dragon God of war Ymir, Zacharias had a healthy respect for all the other gods and goddesses as well for he knew that life was about balance. War has to have peace, life has to have death, and light has have dark. Yet despite this understanding, Zacharias grew to care less and less for people, and more for the world around himself instead of the fleeting lives of the mortals who lived and died around himself.
Zacharias grew up with an extreme respect for the man ruling the Persian Empire at the time, Cyrus the Great. Zacharias lived in the city of Babylon for the majority of his “growing” years, while learning how to fight from his parents before finally setting off upon his own. He continued to remain in Babylon, eventually fighting in many wars and battles. However, with the death of Cyrus the Great Zacharias grew tired of the political horse manure of the empire and decided to set off to explore other lands, learn more about people besides the Persians whom he called his people (aside from other sphinx of course), and just learn more about the world in general. Zacharias traveled mostly through Egypt and then Greece, learning what these other places had to offer in source of scholarship and the ways of the warrior of these other lands. He avoided the Persian politics and wars for many years, moving past and around them, occasionally changing his looks so that he would not cause a chaos like he did in several cities who thought him to be a spy. It was also during this time that Zacharias began going by the name Zacharias, in response to the rise of the Persian emperor Xerxes I, whom Zacharias disliked immensely from the stories told of him.
Upon the assassination of Xerxes I, Zacharias returned to the Persian Empire (now under the name Zacharias) and once more began to live the Persian life under Artaxerxes. Once again involving himself in varies wars and battles, Zacharias enjoyed the thrill of the fighting, but when political unrest began again, he started to grow weary of such nonsense. He remained however, hoping that such political manure would sort itself out. After the death of Artaxerxes II, Zacharias had enough though and eventually left Persia again to “study abroad” as he came to feel (and was told by Ymir) that what the new ruler (Artaxerxes III) was not boding well for his country. Directed by Ymir, he left and went to Macedon where a new up and coming young man had caught Ymir’s attentions. So thus Zacharias became involved with Alexander the Great’s army, fighting and employing to admiral talents to the job of helping Alexander conquer lands and people. Zacharias came to admire this man as well, as much as he had Cyrus the Great for Alexander was not only a great warrior but extremely intelligent as well. Zacharias hoped that perhaps Ymir had not found a completely new favorite.
Zacharias worries where soothed upon the death of Alexander the Great, though he greatly pitied that the man had died and died so young. He wondered if Ymir had something to do with it, perhaps Alexander had served his purpose, but that was not Zacharias position to question or dig in to. With the break of of Alexander’s empire amongst his Diadochi, Zacharias once again took his leave and moved elsewhere following his tread to move towards more active and expanding empires that could offer him employment. This brought Zacharias to the Roman Republic.
Zacharias found the Roman Republic to be exceedingly interesting. He dedicated himself to learning the Latin language, and everything about the Republic. He found their entire culture interesting, filled with both intellect and class alongside other things such as brutal war and physical labor. It is during this time that he found out that he does not like alcoholic beverages, for it tends to bring out the animal inside himself and he tends to hurt people. So Zacharias tends to shy away from any and all alcoholic beverages, preferring to remain sober and in control of himself. Zacharias also found a perverse enjoyment from sneaking in to the gladiatorial games. Not sneaking in as to watch, but sneaking in to fight. He had to sneak in because typically gladiators where only allowed from the lower castes of society.
Zacharias lived like this for a pretty darn good amount of time, enjoying the life and the fighting. He fought with the Roman legions, fighting against the Celts and several others. During this time, he found about the Daemons of Rome, and although never accepted in to the group he worked alongside several of their members upon occasion in exchange for them exposing his own supernatural identity to anybody. Yet despite all the greatness of the Roman Republic, all good things eventually come to an end and the Republic began to crumble upon itself. With the assassination of Caesar, Zacharias decided it was about time to move on so he set off to return to Persia to see what had happened in his homeland.
While returning home, Zacharias was confronted by his god Sama’el Ymir. Asked to walk with his patron god, Zacharias happily walked with his deity. As they walked, Sama’el told Zacharias how proud he was of Zacharias, but that for the time being Zacharias was no longer needed. Using his god like abilities Sama’el Ymir place Zacharias to deep, magical sleep before sealing him inside a temple where Zacharias would sleep until needed by the gods and goddesses again. When that time came, they could awaken him, and he could once again serve them faithfully. So thus Zacharias disappeared, and several thousand years passed, but now things are changing. Things are changing on Earth, and in the Khyper-diorem, and in Shangri-la.
Things have changed, and now apparently the gods and goddesses have decided they need one of their warriors back. So thus Zacharias has been awakened…
