Amandara has long been a peaceful nation, bordered on the west and south by the sea, although it is bordered to the north by a war-faring country, Renadia, and to the east, split by mountains, a restless desert kingdom called Svari. King Edward Greentrent is a descendant of one of the many Greentrent's to rule over the kingdom, preferring to keep to the castle in the capital city, Tyrea. Long has he ruled King Sovereign over the lands of Amandara yet He has grown sickly with pneumonia and is not likely to recover in full health ever again. As such he has retired to city as a Grand Duke and passed down his position to another.
The long illness of the King has led to an unrest in the kingdom that has traveled to the neighboring countries. Increasing news of crimes and attacks by the neighboring kingdoms has made the nobles and peasants alike worry for their future. There has been talk of border villages being raided and the members taken for the slave trade in Svari or disappearing to the barbarian camps of Renadia for whatever nefarious purpose they have. Beware, citizens of Amandara, the kingdom is no longer safe; will the new King's Reign fare much better?
