So, it has always been that fae can't lie. No matter what. This has been changed a bit. Fae can lie in all languages except one; known as the Old Tongue, it is a language infused with magic. One may not tell a lie if they are speaking the Old Tongue, although they may still deceive. Any promises made in the Old Tongue are magically binding. The Old Tongue is the language of the Fae, so most are fluent in it. But if you want to make sure that tricky little fae isn't lying to you, make them say it in the Old Tongue!
