The dust flew up around a figure as it landing in a dusty patch of dried up grass. Wide white wings spread out length-wise taking a span of 14 feet, before they curled inward resting on the back of a woman. Seven feet ten inches of flawless body stood under the desert heat, dark stormy thunderheads gathering to the east. Deep chocolate brown eyes flickered around the surroundings through thin wire-rimmed glasses. She didn't need them to see of course, but humans seemed to accept her better if it looked like she had a physical flaw of some sorts. A cool wet breeze blew across the ground unsettling the dust that clung to the cracks in the ground. Plagued by drought it seemed. Her body turned to face the object of her landing. A shack. Old and warn down, a shutter Hung off but the roof looked sturdy. She knew she wouldn't make it to Sydney with the storm headed right towards her. A barefooted step forward brought her towards the house, where she kicked the door in, searching with her mind for the hum that signaled a brain wave. Empty. Alone again. It had been weeks since her last encounter with anything with a soul in it, and she was started to get antsy. She could almost taste the rain, the clouds rolling in fast. Maybe by some lucky chance she wouldn't be the only one stranded in the outback.

((Out of character: Greedy little vulture of an RPer that he is Loc settles into another rp Just cause It's fun >_>))
Locutus looked skyward and tilted his head to the side. Already the clouds were rolling in and water began to fall from the sky in the form of fat, heavy rain drops. The faint rumble of thunder cut through the air, punctuated by the splatter of those water droplets onto the ground. The deity, sat down on his haunches, his fur beginning to get soaked by the storm's downpour. This was starting to become amusing to the deity. How many times would he find himself in the middle of a storm whilst wandering this globe. "Ah well, at least it isn't hail...." came an amused thought.
The wolf chuckled inwardly then lifted himself off his haunches. Some distance away he spied a worn down shack and he made his way over to it. Locutus was finding himself constantly surprised by humans. Not always pleasantly, or even seriously surprised. It was more of a mild curiosity at the things these creatures did. He hasn't expected to find signs of civilization way out here. Granted that it wasn't very flattering of the human race, it looked rather poorly built... it also looked like it had been abandoned for sometime. However, as he approached, he noticed signs of recent activity.
Dust and debris had been scattered about where something had literally swooped in and landed. Tracks also lead up towards the shack where he found the door had been kicked in. His first guess might have been a werefalcon, were it not for the sweet scent in the air. No, this was no werecreature he was dealing with. He padded up to the doorway and sat down right in front of it. He gave a soft whine, peering into the darkness where he caught sight of none other than an angel.
The large timber wolf, native generally to Northern America, looked out of place in the desert climate of the outback here in Australia, however that did not detract from the somewhat distressed look the wolf had due to his wet fur and laid back ears. He very much resembled that desperate look a wet dog that wants to come in gives. Whether or not there was a door barring his path, he simply sat there, as if waiting for permission to enter the premises.
Beating massive wings, Ca'guuror made his way through the still air. One of the few places he would go to fly in dragon form, and he rarely ever got to get the joy of stretching these wings, he growled in frustration of the giant storm looming before him. He couldn't possible fly through those winds, so he began to circle, looking for somewhere to land. The rain wouldn't bother him like this, and he could always deflect any lightning. But the wind? Forget it. No way.
He spotted movement below him and slowly circled lower as he felt the first drops of rain striking his red scales. What was that? A timber wolf? In Australia. No way in anything....this was way to interesting. He circled more, watching as the wolf made it's way to the an old, ramshackle hut sitting in the middle of no where. Then, it acted like somebody was in there. How absurd. He fly past once, sniffing deeply to find...there! He found the scent. Sweet, almost sickeningly so. Angel then, for no creature he had ever meet in his entire life had that same style of smell.
He grunted, a burst of wind catching his leathery wings and jerking him high into the air. In his attentions to the goings on below, he and momentarily forgotten the storm hurtling towards them like stampede of wildabeast. He struggled to pulling his wings in, to try and get to the ground. He was jerked to the side, then a gust of wind flung him down. He slammed into the earth and his breath whistled from his maw. He jerked his wings in quickly against himself before another gust of wind could catch them and jerk him away again.

The little hut. Hands went to her hips as she razed her eyes across the place. She wrinkled her nose in disgust. No five star hotel...but it will keep me dry. Thoughts moved through her mind like a smooth river, flowing without rapids. A crooked bed sat in one corner next to a wood stove, black from use and disuse. The bed she noted was missing a leg, the mattress sliding onto the floor and stained from who knows what, a metal spring sticking through. She glided across the room, her walking so naturally graceful most humans mistook her for a pagent queen. Reaching out a slender hand she wrapped her fingers around the handle of an oil lantern, lifting it with a clank. Furniture was strewn about, and she honestly didn't want to see what the bathroom looked like. Who ever lived here before either died or left in a big hurry. Why that was she couldn't give a shit. Her feathers ruffled as the breeze blew a scent into the hut, filling it with an earthy scent with a hint of wet dog. She turned on her heels, the sheath of fabric she wore rippled in the turn. She laid her hues upon the wolf a slender brow raising in curiosity.
"Such a gentleman, hmmmm"
A thoughtful sound, before her pink lips parted into a slight smile.
"Well, You may be thinking, it must be against some Angel moral code to make you sit out in the rain....."
She moved towards the creature.
"Don't you think for one minute, if you hump my leg, unwelcomely, that I will not make you sit out in the rain....because I will."
Her smile turned to a wicked grin, as she moved aside and motioned for him to enter the hut. A weak thud, but a thud none the less caught her attention. She looked to her new companion with a sickingly sweet smile.
"This may just turn out to be entertaining after all."

Locutus didn't need to look up, nor did he need to take another sniff to hear the massive dragon far above. Even in the heavy, deafening wind he heard it clear as day. He also could easily tell it was struggling with the winds.... But he hadn't seen anything yet. The winds building so far were light in comparison to some of the larger storms that plagued the outback on a regular basis.
Then the angel came to the door, sweet and kind as they had always been. Though this one at least had a... touch of humor. The wolfs unusual deep red, glowing eyes looked up to the angel almost in a way of "How could you accuse me of such a thing? Me, this poor old wolf in the rain?" She then moved aside for him to move but something caught his attention before he ever lifted his rear.
The mechanics of lightning were fairly simple. Lightning was Static electricity on a large scale. It occurs when one object, in this case the clouds or the ground, build up a charge relative to the other object. Typically lightning formed leaders in the clouds discharged a buildup from the clouds into the ground. However a far more rarer lightning built up in the ground and traveled upwards. Positive lightning it was called. And it was several times stronger than your average bolt of lightning.
Locutus's head slowly turned to face the dragon as it landed on the ground with ta thud. Dragons were tall creatures, easily towering over anything else in the area, seeing as there were no large trees or skyscrapers here. Those glowing red eyes gazed intently at Caguuror for a moment before his tail suddenly swept to the left. It was a subtle movement, but a movement none-the-less. No sooner had his tail swept to the side when suddenly small pebbles with trace amounts of iron in them began to dance. A split second later the charge built up and the air suddenly filled with static discharge.
Locutus doubted that the dragon would have ever felt the build up he had caused by his sudden dissent to the ground, but even if he had, given the nature he would have been hard pressed to move before the sudden massive, searing white bolt of electricity cut through the air beside (to the left of, even) the massive creature. The bolt arched through the air with a wicked twist, lasting far longer (relatively) than your average bolt of lightning.
Locutus tilted his head to the side before turning back around and heading into the shack, seeming entirely unsurprised by the sudden bolt that split the air. The blasting rumble then filled the air, left in the wake of that huge "spark" of electricity. He lifted off his rear and slowly padded in, wondering if the man was going to change into something a bit smaller or if he intended to try and fit that large hide into the tiny dwelling. He had certainly hoped he wouldn't try.

Feeling an electrical charge in the air around him, directed the blast of static electricity away from himself, slightly to his left. He shape shifted to his human form as the blast struck the ground, sending small pebbles and rocks flying with force enough to flay skin. Thoughts of his last encounter with the force of nature had flowed through his mind like liquid as soon as he had felt the electrical build up and phased quickly, shifting his molecular structure to lighted and loosen the bonds and allow the debris to fly though himself. He returned to normal and walked towards the door of the shack, slipping his five foot nine inch frame inside with out question as he had already seen the wolf enter. He sniffed the air, trying to get a sense of what who was there, but the smell of burnt ozone still permeated the area.
Glancing around, he blinked as he saw the angel before him and smiled. He had not heard her words earlier as the rumble of thunder had drown them out, so the fact she was a female slightly surprised him. He wondered what she was doing so far out here by herself as he stepped forward and bowed, his right hand crossing across his stomach.
"Hello Ma'am. To whom do I own my apologizes for barging so rudely upon her resting place?" He stood up, his strange pupilless gold eyes casting around the room as his lips finished the sentence. His skin tight leather vest was slightly pale now, covered with some settled dust from outside, as was his black cargo pants. His bare feet trod lithely across the floor of the shack as easily as they had across the rocks and grit outside, accustomed to the roughness. He glanced over at the wolf and nodded. He knew nothing was as it seemed. His sense of smell was forsaken for a minute or two until the air cleared, but this could easily be a werewolf or another shape shifter, and Cag was never to careful. More like, he was slightly paranoid, having grown up in the military albeit unwillingly. So he was trained to take everything as a threat, even the beautiful angel before him.

She blinked as the wolf gave her an innocent look. She lifted the arm with the lantern on it and pointed at him matter of factly.
"Puppy eyes will get you no where,"
She spoke an honest smile on her lips. She turned and moved back further into the cabin, looking for the items needed to light the lantern. After scanning her eyes across a few of the shelves on the wall, she found a rusted metal container of lamp oil and a box of matches, which were halfway soggy. She didn't need to look outside to know lightning was striking, the loud crack of the positive charge would have sent a mortal screaming. Undisturbed by it, her wings twitched a bit, as she poured the oil into the lamp, before opening the box of matches and digging through it to find a semi dry match. She was rewarded for her search, and lit the match as a man walked into the cabin. She turned, greeted by Caguuror, a slender brow raising. Her nostrils flared as she took in the scent that surrounded him. Reptile and ozone. Hmmm. A shifter. She was slightly please the dragon came in a somewhat pocket size of that of a man. She grinned thinking of that human movie where vehicles turn into robots, only then picturing the man standing before her 'transforming' into the dragon. She bit back a snort of laughter at that visual. Her wings shuddered, stretching a bit, before settling back.
"I can hardly claim rights to this abode, merely seeking shelter from the storm."
Her voice, a sweet tone, would portray an innocent woman. Not so much the innocent woman who would slit a mortals throat in his sleep and cook his entrails for a midnight snack.
"Names are powerful among my kind. You may call me Lily. Someday you may be lucky enough to be blessed with my name."

"No where huh?" He thought. The wolf fought back a grin at those words as he settled himself into the shack. He took up a corner opposite of the angel, leaving the shifter in the middle. His eyes looked between the two as they introduced each other, the look almost comedic. It had a faint sense of "What the hell am I?" as he sat seemingly ignored. Well inwardly he knew full well he wasn't ignored, but to the outside gaze it might seem that way.
He looked to the shapeshifter and chuckled. The man was smart and had dodged that bolt wonderfully. The deity pondered for a moment, debating whether or not to comment on his luck, or his mistake. For the moment, however, he decided to remain quiet. He didn't suspect the shapeshifter to be aware of his overall presence, that being a deity, but he wasn't so sure about the angel. Angels and demons were often much more aware than the common mortal was, and he wouldn't have been surprised if she had some idea.
He decided to curl himself up into that fluffy ball only a dog could manage. Sure cats looked cute when they were curled up sometimes, but this was that trademark Dog "ball" of fluffy fur. Granted his fir was a bit soaked, but that only added to the despairing look the wolf had. Then came those eyes again. Now you had those innocent almost sad puppy eyes gazing up at the pair, mixed in with the cute, lonely curled up wolf, with wet fur. To some it might have been a heartbreaking sight. Locutus wondered how the angel would fair. The man didn't much look like he'd be bothered by the desperate, lonely, wet dog look.
He smiled at her words, humble as well as beautiful. Interesting. She could have laid claim to it and thrown both out if she really wanted to. It was her right as first comer after all. He nodded in understanding at her words about true names.
"Well, Lily. I can understand and respect your reserve." He smiled and turned to the male timberwolf, watching with amusement as he curled up, attempting to look as adorable and cute as possible to sway the female. He chuckled and walked to him, knowing fully well he wasn't a wolf but unable to help it. His hand stretched out towards him, settling on top of his head and ruffling his damp fur.
"What about you? I can tell by your scent you are a male. I can also tell you are something more then wolf. Werewolf perhaps? Shifter like myself? Or does the cat have your tongue?" He smiled at his own joke, his four sharp canines flashing in another burst of lightning as he squatted upon his haunches, looking into the wolf's eyes. He tilted his head quizzically, wondering if perhaps he had meet or seen this same wolf before somewhere. He seemed oddly familiar, yet at the same time distantly strange.
For Cag, it was a very odd feeling, being pretty good at remembering people and places he had been before. He glanced back at Lily, his golden eyes searching for an answer there. Perhaps she knew this male, or perhaps she didn't. Cag wasn't very sure. He stood and back away from the wolf respectfully, knowing he wouldn't like his personal space invaded to much.

Her eyes ran along the body of the male before her. He looked quite delicious. Good enough to eat. She pushed her thoughts of food away, as her stomach made that disgusting human noise. She rolled her eyes as she watched the man moved towards the wolf, who was giving her the puppy dog eyes again. She pouted her bottom lip out and her chocolatey brown eyes grew into her own puppy dog eyes as she looked back at him. She broke the stare down with a chuckle.
"He's far more then a man."
She said in response to Caguuror's question to the canine. She could sense it about him, but she wasn't going to spoil the fun. She looked at him again as he Puppy eyed her.
"He is making me curious as to why he keeps puppy eyeing me...." She moved to a chair sitting in it, stretching out her long slender legs, before pulling them in and making a solid eye contact with the God before her in the form of a wolf.
"Surely I haven't been naughty lately, have you come to spank me? If so lets do get it over with, I am one to take several times before I learn my lesson."
She spoke to the wolf, a slight look of humor in her eyes.

The wolf finally let out a human chuckle into the air. It was that baritone base tone one might have expected to come out from his human form. He inwardly gave a tsk that he had been suspected so early on. Well one seemed to know who he was, the other just figured him to be more than a wolf. So now it became pointless to hide his ability to speak.
Those eyes gazed up at the two of them as his tail only curled up closer to his muzzle. "I had hoped that I could play innocent for a little while at least. But it appears that you both caught on rather quickly."The wolf's eyes turned and locked onto the shapeshifter."A dragon flying in the sky during a storm. You're either ballsy... or brainless. A rapid decent like that, you're lucky I caught it when I did. It would have been a lot more difficult to dodge that bolt if it had actually originated from you like it would have."
The wolf let his chiding remarks dig in for a moment before he began to speak again."Still, I am rather impressed with such mastery of your ability. Not many shapeshifters can manage such an impressive form so readily."Finally the wolf unfurled from his ball, not disturbing Cag from his antics."So. Lily and..."The wolf looked up to the shapeshifter."Caguuror... I presume?"He hadn't read the man's mind, but what kind of deity would he be if he couldn't gleam a simple name off those with abilities.
"I suppose it is only fair that I introduce myself then?"The wolf bowed his head slightly."Locutus Enim Ferox."He gave a short, simple answer with no explanation beyond it. A simple name. They might pick up on it, they might not, Locutus would get the chance to see.
Chuckling softly, Ca'guuror shook his head. From the way Lily had said that he was more then a man and the male had gleaned his name despite it not having been spoken aloud, Locutus Ferox was obviously powerful. Though the name did not ring a bell with in his mind, he assumed the male was some sort of deity. No surprise then that he had not heard of him. The military frowned deeply down upon any religious views. At least, they did where he was held at. His lips parted and he spoke in return.
"I prefer ballsy to be honest. What is life if you don't take a few risks, raise up the adrenaline a few times. Adrenaline is good, it quickens your reflexes and heighten your senses. If one can learn to control it, they can become more then they would alone." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Though I would not say I am entirely reckless, I occasionally have my profound moments of entire stupidity. Such as that. The lightning, yes it would have hurt horrendously if it had hit, I was much more worried about those brutal winds snapping my wings. That would have taken ages to heal up properly." He glanced at Lily to she how she would reacted to the name. Even if this was a deity, Cag didn't really care that much. Yes, he would be powerful. Yes, he should be respected. Then again, he respected all who earned it just as he always did. With mild respect, but mostly as an equal until he saw that he deserved more. It was not meant to be offense to anybody. But he had heard several people proclaim themselves to be gods and goddesses....and he had seen them all fall like bricks in a pond. However, this male had a much different fell about him. He was not a show off, or an abuser of the power he had. He just had it, and used it as it was needed. That was all. So perhaps he was different, and the deity he seemed to be. Only time and action would tell.
Cag did know this though, he felt towards the being. The male was obviously nature oriented, as his apparent by his choice of a wolfen body. This was something Cag could instantly relate with, and knew he already was doing it on a subconscious level and not even meaning to.

Her expression remained motionless when he spoke his name. Nope, she hadn't heard of him, but she could sense the power about him, the earthy, pine scent that oozed about him. She crossed her arms and licked her bottom lip before standing.
"Locutus,"
She breathed, looking at the wolf. The name rolled off her tongue like a foreign language. She looked to Caguuror. What company they were, three creatures of power- a crash and flash of lightning interrupted her thoughts. She moved towards the glassless window. The roof was sturdy, but with barely any other protection from the storm, they were bound to get wet as the winds started to pick up. She turned back to the cabin and the two who were seeking shelter as well.
"The storm is only going to get worse, we must look around and find something to cover these two Windows and fix the door. We may not be human, but I'd rather stay dry, I don't know about you."
She spoke, before drifting back to one of the back rooms, the sound of items being moved around, as she dug for items.

The wolf chuckled at the man's reply, those red eyes glowing, a little mirth held within them."A respectable answer. What's life without a few adventures?"
The man was certainly a risk taker. First to be flying as a dragon out in a storm in the first place. They generally didn't come out of nowhere and had their warning signs. He either hadn't noticed them, or ignored them entirely. Then there was that rapid decent. He wasn't the first being to do such a thing, but he was one of a select few who had lived to tell the tale. Locutus had found a particular case of such an event. A thunderstorm got too intense for an airliner. As a last ditch measure they brought the plane down for an emergency landing on a strip well within the thunderstorm's reach. The plane never touched the ground. As it passed by the usual security fence just past the runway, a flash of white brightened the town into near daylight. Unlike normal the light didn't die when the bolt did, at least not entirely. In the bolts wake the light shifted to the amber hue of fire. The flames stretched down the last third of the runway as the plane had disintegrated on contact with the mighty bolt. All that was left were scattered pieces of burning debris and a hole in the fence where the lightning struck through the aircraft. No one survived.
The wolf's attention was soon brought to the nearby window. It had lost it's glass panes some time ago and now the angel was worried about the potential for the rain to get in."I doubt the rain will bother us much in this storm,"Locutus stated simply. He could easily manipulate the storm as he wanted, but he didn't need to. He could easily just prevent it from blasting through the window.
"So what brings a dragon shifter and a beautiful lady out to a place like this? It's a bit far from the cities and other, what most would consider, decent places."He of coursed had no issue with this isolated place, but then again he was the god of nature... what kind of nature god would he be if he disliked the views of the outback?
Last Edit: Aug 9, 2011 12:45:24 GMT -5 by Locutus Ferox
He moved when she spoke, stepping towards the window slightly and shivered as pain pleasure coursed through his body. A single, scaled wing split from his back, spreading out and covering the portal the female was worried about, blocking out the rain. He stretched out a foot, hooking a upturned five gallon bucket and drug it towards him and deftly flipped it over and sat upon it, keeping his wing over the window.
"There, Lily. Now if you just sit near, the other window won't bother you and you need not waste your time blocking the other." He certainly hoped another lightning bolt didn't decide to crash through the window. Being in a cramp confined place would definitely hinder his ability to react quickly to the threat this time.
He looked back at Locutus and grinned. "Life is pretty meaningless with out them. They add so much spice and interest to everything. As to the question, I come here every now and then. This is probably the second best place I have found to stretch my wings and fly with out worry. It is only beaten by the Sahara desert, but I prefer the wild life around these parts better. The wide spaces, strange creatures, and rumors of odd happenings with the wild life are mostly ignored." He ticked off a couple fingers. "I have only had to deal with two hunters who came hunting for the dragon who flies these areas, and simple joined in a group of fanatics intent upon catching it." He chuckled evilly, remembering that incident.
