Forgery once said that he was looking for more monsters to use as quests in the Creature Thread. The following are just a few I found that could turn out quite interesting:
The Sphinx - head of a man/body of a lion; guardian of treasures and teller of riddles
The Roc - giant bird that preys on elephants and nests on mountains
The Manticore - "man-eater;" face of a man, body of a red lion, and the tail of a scorpion; very agile and makes powerful leaps; relative of the Sphinx
The Basilisk - most poisonous creature on earth; can kill anyone who meets its gaze instantly; its very touch and breath are also poisonous
Sirens - the seductive temptresses of the sea; lure sailors to their deaths with their haunting songs; live on an island surrounded by treacherous rocks
The Salamander - lizard capable of living in volcanoes; can spit fire that no water can put out; skin is highly prized being that its fireproof ~ If needed, I do have more information on each of the creatures listed above.
Varos has a very symmetrical look, giving her a strange, unearthly beauty. Her favorite form has grey eyes and red hair. She usually seems quite calm, with the shadow of a smile on her lips and a hint of a frown around her eyes.

Manticore was actually one that I had decided on making for a.... special sort of place that will be coming up in a few months. I had considered Sphinx but I decided it against it after speaking with Antoinette for a few reasons (one being that it's hard to find a good picture on Google when you type 'Sphinx' ) I'll think about Roc. I thought about Basilisk, but they're kind of pointless with the Gorgon race and all, so I don't want to put that one in. Sirens was one that Antoinette and I had talked about. They'll be coming around in a while as a new option for Races, but it's going to be with a little... twist.
If you have more information for Roc, it would be appreciated. Also, if you happen across a good picture for Sphinx, I'll probably go ahead and put that in. A picture of Manticore would help, too, since I've been too busy with Factions to be hunting for pictures for Creatures, you know?
Thank you for your suggestions, they are of use and if one of your suggestions that I hadn't considered yet is used, your name will be put on the 'Credits' thread as appropriate.

Roc - The mythical bird of Arabia; they have a wingspan of 48 feet with feathers 8 feet long, and their legs are the size of small trees. They are usually described as being white, but there have been some reports of a golden Roc. These brids rarely, if ever, land on the ground. Intead they prefer to roost at the top of tall mountains. This is also where they lay their egg; a whopping 30 feet in circumference. ~

Awesome pictures. In fact, with pictures like that, I can say that you're going to end up on the credits list soon. Last thing. You have the right to use those pictures and give me permission, yes?
Yes. The pictures I found are from public sites, and I checked all of them to make sure I was not infringing on any copywright issues by the sites or artists who drew them. You are allowed to use them.

What about the more interesting quest creatures? I noticed most of these are from Greece, Africa, exotic areas. Additionally, not all of your creatures have to be monsters. They can be NPCs without being races....though personally I think the Kelpie would be an awesome race.
Kelpie - An irish mythological creature, a shapeshifter that hunts small children. It appears the guise of a beautiful white horse in water, and lures children into the shallows to stroke its fur. When touched, however, the child cannot let go of the kelpie, and is dragged into the depths to be drowned and consumed. Kelpies, when not in horse form, usually take the appearance of young men and women...who happen to be eternally soaking wet. While they can be approachable to the casual conversation, to children and women they are violent.
Unicorn- According to original lore, unicorns are not the calm, benevolent creatures most humans believe them to be. They are violent and wild creatures, untamed, beautiful in their ferocity. The alicorn is black, all except for a white tip. It by itself is used to dispell poisons in water, cure disease, and heal wounds. However when on the unicorn's head it becomes a goring weapon with a fierce burning sensation when struck. Unicorns are best described as the body of a horse, the feet of a deer, and the tail of a lion.
The Hippocampus- A mischievious and devious sea creature, the hippocampus is the front half of a horse and the rear half of a large sea mammal, probably a right whale. It's favourite activities are overturning boats at sea, causing storms, and luring boats in to be forever lost, its inhabitants consumed. The Bermuda triangle was once said to be infested with hippocampi.
The Abatwa - Said to live in Africa, little people that ride ants. They are said to whip the creatures into a frenzy, destroying most animals and plants in their paths. They worship the queen of the ants like a goddess, and are constantly after new meat to appease their queen.
Akhiyini - The ghost of a dead captain said to cause shipwrecks up in the Yukon. The Inuit are known to refuse to be out on the water when they see a white elk, a sign the creature has been frightened by the monster.
The Sandwalker - a giant arthropod that steals camels and virgins from the sands of Arabia to consume them.
I was looking, and I see each of the creatures showings a continent and guarding something. I thought about South America, and though of the Aztecs.
What about a massive wyvern? A winged snaked, like Quetzalcoatl?? It could breath fire and/or acid. Plus the ability to fly would make it very interesting to take down or kill.
