Centaur Overview Unlocked for all by Minttu Cerdiwen, Solemn Creed, Stilia Medusa, Chaos Mordecai, and Arthur Winnow. Centaurs are half-man, half-equine. With the bodies of a horse up until the base of the neck and a human torso and head sprouting there, Centaurs are naturally swift. Some are known to have horns, however it is a genetic abnormality. Centaurs often wear heavy woolen blankets across the length of their equine back to keep themselves from losing their balance (as their possessing a Humanoid torso does), except for those that serve as warriors; warrior Centaurs generally wear a light breastplate on their front to protect them as they charge and a heavier plate of armor across their back. In fighting, Centaurs usually wield a long spear or somesuch to make greater advantage of their length and to protect the entirety of their bodies. They are also excellent with a bow. Although talented on the battlefield, their true calling is a more peaceful ones. They are lovers of philosophy and intelligent banter with a friend. 'Song-sings' hold their heads high knowing they are one of the more prestigious members of their clan as they sing their histories, entertain others, and sometimes even settle family feuds with their clever, sharp tongues. They are the origin of many Grecian philosophers' writings and more than one Human has been taken under their tutelage. Though this is a rarity, it is not frowned upon by other Centaurs, simply hard to find a bipedal being that is worthy of their instruction. Centaurs are a highly religious species but not to any specific God or Goddess. They are typically viewed favorably as a race by the Gods for their pious lifestyles; Centaurs prefer to maintain the land they live on and can be likened to the more peaceful of the Native Americans that lived in North America. Because of this, Locutus Ferox saw fitting to bestow a gift upon them, one that made any armor or clothing they wore to have the effects of the Religious Plate. He also deemed them too obvious of creatures if they were to be spotted and granted them the innate power to make themselves unseen to the average looker.Centaurs take it as an insult when asked to be ridden upon ("I am no HORSE!") but often will overcome their pride and acquiesce in a noble, yet highly unpleased fashion that puts others before themselves regularly. The exception to this is Fae, who they are more than happy to allow a ride and will often even offer it as they are very fond of the Fae for their usually carefree, yet ecosystem-friendly lifestyles. The largest clans of Centaurs reside in the Gobi Desert, Siberia, and Madagascar. Other clans exist in mid-northern Canada, southern Central America, and Argentina. Centaurs are know to live up to 150 years old. Innate Abilities Centaurs are often peaceful creatures, and have an innate ability to use 'Light Heal', as well as hide in times of need with 'Deception'.
