A gigantic hound with three heads, each as deadly as the other (although some say he had as many as fifty heads). He was also said to be in possesion of a serpent's tail, a mane of snakes, and a lion's claws.
In Greek mythology, as one of his twelve tasks, Hercules had to bring Cerberus out of the Underworld. He was asked to return it, but there are no reports on if he actually did. Perhaps the creature is merely running amock on the surface world?
It would be an interesting quest creature.
