Short Change Hero
by The Heavydescription:;
Lachlann isn't the most intimidating looking of people. He stands at around 5'11 and is quite slim. Despite the fact that he is a lot older, he doesn't appear to be much older than 30 due to the fact that his ageing process slowed to a near halt when he was approximately 25. He likes to keep his black hair relatively short and tends to keep himself well shaven and tidy to contrast what he looked like during the war. He keeps himself reasonably well toned as well, although he tends to keep himself covered as much as possible to hide any scars that may give away his identity. The most recognisable of his scars are a bullet hole scar he has in his chest just to the left of his heart and three claw like scratches on his right arm.

Lachlann is the sort of person who often changes his clothes a lot. However he does have one outfit which he is most commonly seen wearing and more often than not what he is wearing is just a variant on that set up. The outfit consists of a dark suit jacket, usually black but sometimes grey if it's quite hot out, covering a waistcoat of varying designs. Underneath he wears a light coloured, most commonly white, linen shirt. For trousers he wears a pair of jeans also of varying colours but usually a dark blue. He also carries a few accessories, such as a pair of Ray-bans.
transportation:;
He doesn't personally own a vehicle but has the knowledge of how to drive cars and pilot planes. For now however, he relies on public transport.

He keeps a small worn journal inside his suit jacket that contains all the information he's gathered about his objective.

background:;
Lachlann was born in Kirkcaldy in 1920 to John and Margaret McDowell. He had a relatively uninteresting childhood and being a single child and having been brought up in a loving household, his anger had never reached a point where he had discovered his true nature. When Lachlann left school his family relocated to Glasgow so that his father could find a better job working at the shipyards on the Clyde and so that Lachlann could begin to train as an engineer to follow into the same trade as his father. However, at the age of 18 Lachlann decided to sign up for the British Army instead due to unease in the country over what seemed to be an impending war with Germany. He realised that if things continued as they were then he would eventually be conscripted anyway so he would rather join on his terms and better prepare himself. His extraordinary abilities began to shine during his training when it was realised that he was faster and stronger than a lot of other recruits. Because of this he quickly progressed through the training period and was recruited into the Royal Highland Regiment, better known as the Black Watch.
A little earlier then he had predicted, the war broke out in 1939. Lachlann wasn't deployed until 1940 however when he was finally shipped out to France after the end of the Phoney War and near the beginning of the Battle of France. He was stationed in Dunkirk and the first time he saw proper action was during the Battle of Dunkirk. As he fought back against the Germans, he saw the rest of his regiment being gunned down around him and began to lose control of his emotions. He had been preparing himself for a couple of years now but he just wasn't ready for the horrors of war. As fear, panic and anger all took a hold of him at once he transformed into his were-beast form for the first time in his life. In an act of confusion and anger he lashed out at the enemies who were attacking him and due to his new form quickly struck down a few enemies before he was shot in the chest. Everything that happened after that was unknown to him. He was blurry for a while but then blacked out and awoke to find himself in an Allied hospital in Britain. It seemed that some remnants of his regiment had worked to retrieve him from the field and get him evacuated with some of the other members of the British Army and civilians during Operation Dynamo.
As he recovered he was told repeatedly how amazing it was that he had survived. The wound he had taken to his chest would have killed any normal person, but he now knew that there was something different about him and so did the British Army. While he was recovering he was approached by a Brigadier who had a new assignment for him. Without being given much choice, Lachlann was recruited into a top secret Special Forces group that the British Government had constructed with one soul purpose. To counteract any supernatural forces that Hitler may employ in the war and ultimately infiltrate the Third Reich and assassinate the key players in the Nazi party. When Lachlann joined the group there were only 5 other people in it with actual supernatural powers; a Welsh girl, an Irishman, 2 Englishmen and another Scottish girl. For a while, they simply honed their abilities together awaiting the day they would be sent back out into the field to begin their incredibly insane mission.
Finally in 1944, the British Army finally passed down the orders that would have them sent into the heart of Nazi Germany to attempt to assassinate the leaders of the Nazi Party. As they prepared to move out, one of the members of the group suddenly became incredibly secretive and worried. He held a secret meeting between the six gifted members and revealed that he had been given additional orders that would see the other five executed and pave the way for the British Empire to attempt to rebuild itself in a shattered world as the dominating world power once more. He was vague in how they were actually going to attempt to accomplish this, but he made it clear that the only way that they were all going to survive until the end of the war was desertion. The group instantly became divided, with one of the Englishmen and the Welsh Girl believing that they should simply follow orders and the others including Lachlann being convinced that they had to escape. The arguing quickly turned violent as the Englishman against desertion attacked the rest of the group calling them weak while the Welsh girl ran to bring reinforcements. The four deserter's fought back against the Englishman and the soldiers that joined the fray against them as best they could but they where far too outnumbered. Lachlann received the second of his identifying scars that night when the Englishman clawed a chunk out of his arm. Despite everything, the Irishman was able to create a big enough diversion using his powers and allowed the others to escape while he was captured.
With the entire Government branding them traitors and Axis spies, they decided the best option would be to split up and flee the country in anyway that they could. Lachlann first fled north, refusing to leave the country until he had explained everything to his parents. When he arrived in Glasgow however, he quickly came to learn that his parents had been killed in the Clydebank Blitz. With nothing left to tie him down, he managed to secure passage to the Irish free state where he laid low until the end of the war. Ever since the war ended, he has simply been roaming the world trying to evade the British government who still hunt him despite having listed him as KIA. He spent his time trying to learn how to control his abilities and picked up a few new ones along the way.
For the most part, he was without direction until the year 2003. It was then that he discovered that old members of the small unit of his were still alive in the world and also in hiding from the British Government. He decided that he would search out and find them in an attempt to understand what had happened nearly 60 years before.
