A creature from the Hindu mythology. Consisting of a man's body, and the head and wings of a predatory bird, it is believed to be a quick hunter, able to swoop down from the sky with the strength of a Roc to carry away prey. Many legends claim that their wings are strong enough to create powerful winds that can knock over houses, but this is under speculation.
Huntable Creatures:
Shachihoko:

An aquatic being of Japanese folklore. A tiger-headed carp, many takes claim that it can cause the rain to fall. Though believed to be peaceful creatures in folklore, the tiger's head of this creature also follows its impulses, making it a fearsome preditor.
Hippocamp:

An aquatic equine, this creature appears to be a cross between horse and fish: possessing the front half of a horse, with a long fish-like tail in place of back legs. Just as horses are quick to run on land, these creatures are swift swimmers, able to swim through the water faster than any fish.
Sea Serpents:

Believed to be children of the dreaded Jörmungandr, these creatures were feared by sailors, as they would attack trade boats, in search for the taste of flesh. Sea serpents can vary in length, from the length of an average human, to the length of an adult Blue Whale. Even the smaller of the species is dangerous however, as they will bite and constrict prey, drowning it in the waters before consumption.
Unicorn:

Extremely rare creatures, the Unicorn is an equine of purity, dawning a single silver horn in the middle of its forehead. Its blood is believed to have amazing curative properties, and so is sought as a commodity for its unique power. The horn is also believed to hold magical properties as well, though because of the rarity of the creature, the extent of these abilities is unknown. It was once believed by the English that a beautiful female virgin of pure heart could be used to trap a Unicorn, as they are drawn towards others of pure heart. Capturing a Unicorn comes with its risks however. While it itself is not aggressive, it has the uncanny ability to stir surrounding wildlife into protecting it.
Will-o-Wisp:

Nobody is sure what exactly a Will-o-Wisp is, whether it is a spirit or illusion. Man accounts recall either a hovering yellow light or a hovering ball of red or blue flame, dancing after the witching hour has passed. Its movements can cause the curious to follow it, where it lures the unfortunate to dangerous situations, and in some cases, one's death.
Drake:

Drakes are the weaker descendants of Dragons. While looking similar in appearance, Drakes tend to lack the trademark wings of their cousins, though have the same variance among subspecies. Drakes are also normally much smaller, the largest recorded sighting being just over the height of an adult human. They too have an affinity toward the elements, and have been known to be both benevolent and hostile, depending on the situation at hand (if they're starving or threatened). Though they cannot fly, Drakes are much quicker than Dragons on the ground, and often have fins or other appendages to help them in maintaining their speed.
