Chaos walked quietly beside Sol. She wasn't exactly sure how to take everything. Sol had saved her life again. He almost killed her sister. His reasons were still a little unclear to him. All she could really think about was how different he was compared to how he usually acted. He was usually serious and very calm, very under control. Back there was something else. He was different. More feral. More dangerous. More demonic.
Chaos wasn't sure how she felt about that. Usually she would contemplate her chances of winning a battle with him, but she didn't want to fight him. However, she didn't know that side of him, it was unknown territory. It was unpredictable. He had sworn to protect her, but was that side of him even conscious of his promises. Was he even conscious of the controlled Sol. She wanted to understand.
"What....what's it like? When you're like that? Is is...I mean are you...conscious? Are you aware? It's like you have two different personalities. How deep did you go into your other one...how much farther can you go?" Chaos said it quietly.
She didn't want to offend, and she was still trying to process everything. And to be quite honest, there was a part of her that was completely terrified of Sol. It didn't rule her or even become a large part, but it was there. Chaos wasn't scared of a lot of people, as she was stronger than most she came across. However, if Sol wasn't like his usual self, he could really hurt her. And the funny part? She was more afraid on how Sol would handle it rather than her state of being.

As they walked quietly, Sol thought about the side of himself he had shown back with Scarlett. He wondered what Chaos was thinking about at the moment. Sol fervently hoped that she didnt think less of him for what she had seen.
When Chaos asked him her small series of questions, Sol looked at her incredulously. She was implying that he was crazy! Okay, so maybe Sol was the tiniest bit insane, but he was no schitzophrenic.
[glow=red,2,300]"When Im like that? Seriously? Chaos, Im going to be honest with you. I may be a little insane, but i do not have multiple personalities. There is no limit to how far i will go if I am sufficiently angry, though usually the only thing that makes me angry is when someone tries to hurt a friend of mine."[/glow]
Sol shook his head and chuckled slightly. [glow=red,2,300]"I dont want you to feel unsafe around me. I am mentally stable and I would never hurt you."[/glow]

""No! I didn't mean- it wasn't my intention to offend you. I just....its hard to explain..." Chaos really couldn't explain in words, so she decided she wouldn't try. her jaw hurt too much anyways. It did help knowing he wouldn't hurt her though. Not that she had any doubt, but reassurance never hurt either. "I don't feel unsafe around you. But, you looked a little out of control back there. Never imagine you could look like that, you're too calm." Chaos tried to explain.
Chaos mean she's only had herself to take care of her. She usually does a decent job walking away with very few wounds. Speaking of wounds, she looked over at Sol's arm. Looks like Scarlett got him at least once. It wasn't very serious, but it was still bleeding. She stopped him.
"You're bleeding." Chaos stated grabbing Sol's arm gently. "I'm not much of a mental healer as you can now tell, but healing wounds are like breathing to me." She said, happy she could do something to help Sol.
Her right hand rested over the would lightly and, ignoring the blood, she focused all of her energy to her right hand. She felt a deep sort of hum throughout her body as her hand began to glow a pale light. She smiled. She could feel everything cut reattaching until finally a layer of faint scar tissue covered where the cut once was. That would be gone by the next day. She released his arm.
"Good as new. Knife wounds are my specialty. When I had first gotten my knives I must have cut myself at least- My knives!" Chaos cut herself off realizing her knives were still in the van. She needed those knives. "I have to go back! Those knives are very important to me!" She said as she turned around to go back.

[glow=red,2,300]"I know you didnt mean to offend me. No explanation is needed so dont worry about it. I know i can seem a little out of control sometimes, but I never really am."[/glow]
Sol was relieved to know that Chaos was not afraid that he may harm her but he still was a little unsure. Unsure as to whether or not she was being perfectly honest, or if she was just saying that for his benifit.
Sol looked at the small cut on his arm. Honestly, he had been planning to use Scarlett's life force to heal it, but it was no big deal. Demons heal pretty fast, especially Sol. He was used to combat and knew what his body could handle.
Chaos stopped to heal him and it felt... pleasant. A warm feeling came over Sol and he could feel his flesh knitting back together. Sol felt as if raw energy had been poured into his wound. For a creature that fed off the life force of others, it was more than pleasant.
Chaos turned around, saying something about her knives. [glow=red,2,300]"Wait! Youre not really going back there, are you?"[/glow] Sol could see she was determined to go back for them so he just shook his head, sighed, and went after her.
"Is this all!?"The young demon screamed to the heavens"Is this all I am!? Though Sol didn't know it, his answer made Chaos feel just a bit better. Knowing that Sol wasn't someone she had to always be on her toes with was good. Well, in a way she was always kept on her toes with him. He was very surprising. However, it was more of a good surprising than a I'm-going-to-rip-your-face-off surprise. That just would not do.
"Of course I'm going back! There my knives! I need them. I defend myself with those. Without them...I'm not...whole. There a part of me. So yes, I'm going back." Chaos said trying to figure out which way to go.
They had just been walking straight and so if they went back they would walk back into the circle. If the angels were still there that could be a problem. But she wasn't looking for the circle. She was looking for the van that had brought her to the circle. She sighed resting her hand on a nearby frozen tree. She had no clue where to go. She couldn't search like this. On foot was just not gonna work. However, she couldn't fly in this weather or temperature. Her wings would freeze. And she would also freeze, but that was besides the point. Mode of transportation was her first problem.

Sol sighed and shook his head. He couldnt stop her from going back, but that wasnt really a big deal. The only reason why he had been worried was because he felt that if he ran into those racists again, he might kill them all.
[glow=red,2,300]"If youre going back because they're that important to you, then I guess I have to come with you. It would be foolish to just wait here while you run off."[/glow]
Sol could see that Chaos was trying to figure out a way to get back to where she had left her knives. Sol thought for a moment. When he saw her pulled from the van, she was wearing completely different clothes so, he reasoned, her weapons and everything else were probably still inside of it.
[glow=red,2,300]"Look, the van your stuff was in, has probably been driven off by now. But if we move quickly enough, it couldnt have gotten far. Im sure they wouldnt have left the bodies of those angels behind, so that means they had to take time to clean up."[/glow]
Sol cursed. The only way they had any chance of catching up to car that had a lead on them was if they flew and in these temperatures one might as well give Chaos a death sentence.
Sol was not cursing because he felt there was a big problem, he was cursing because he might have to carry Chaos again. [glow=red,2,300]"The only way we'll catch that van is if we fly. I could carry you if you want, it would keep you warm."[/glow]
"Is this all!?"The young demon screamed to the heavens"Is this all I am!? Chaos nodded at Sol. That made sense. But where could the van be going. "I think that we were going...west. The sun was in my face. And there wasn't another road. So they have to be going east. They probably came in from the east too. There might be more than one van though, as you saw our clan isn't small by any means." Chaos said thinking out loud as she spoke.
She faced away from the sun. All she could see was snow and trees. And it was still snowing. She didn't know how far she was from the road or how fast they were going. She didn't know where the road even led to. She was giving up hope when Sol cursed. He then proceeded to tell her that they would make it if he flew. And carried her. She pushed back her embarrassment, putting the knives first, and gave Sol a frumpy look.
"You know, I'm not that heavy. And you aren't exactly the scrawniest kid in the class. You don't have to curse about it." She said in mock offense.
Post by Solemn Creed on Feb 21, 2012 20:02:32 GMT -5
Sol smiled at her. He hadnt cursed because he thought whe was too heavy for him, he had cursed mostly because he was very lazy and after all the excitement he felt like doing nothing but taking a nap.
[glow=red,2,300]"I have no problem with carrying you. Im just a bit sleepy is all. Believe it or not, I earned that title. He who slept a reeally long time."[/glow]
Sol chuckled to himself. That was a title he threw in there more for fun than importance.
Sol flexed his muscles and stretched some, preparing to carry Chaos. If he was going to do this, he would rather not injure himself in the process.
[glow=red,2,300]"Are you ready?"[/glow]
"Is this all!?"The young demon screamed to the heavens"Is this all I am!? Sol smiled at Chaos and she mocked glared. When he explained that he just wanted to take a nap, she scoffed. After everything that had happened these last few days, who wouldn't? He wasn't the only one tired. She ignored it though, as the amazingly good patron she was. NOW that was a silly thought.
Chaos laughed. "It wasn't exactly terrifying; that title. And you can rest after we get my knives back. Or you can go ahead and leave me here to find my own ride. I'm not forcing you." She said shrugging.
Chaos stepped closer to Sol. Putting her arms around his shoulder, she jumped up. "Catch me!" There was a very child-like charm to being carried.

Sol's eyes widened into surprised. He quickly brought his arms up to catch her when she jumped at me.
[glow=red,2,300]"You need to be more careful! What if i hadnt felt like catching you?"[/glow]
Sol yawned as he stood there and held Chaos. He was really sleepy. Sol would wonder why he was so tire all of a sudden but he knew it was because he was bored and he hadnt eaten in a few days. I had been his intnetion to grab a quick bite back with the angels but Chaos had effectively talked him out of that.
Sol sat down with his back to a tree, Chaos still in his arms. He decided to close his eyes for just a moment. Sol decided to give Chaos fair warning before hand though.
[glow=red,2,300]"Im just going to close my eyes and rest for a few minutes. Im not really tired, just so hungry. I would never hurt you but when i wake up i might have to run off and get some food."[/glow]

"I would be very disappointed in your reflex abilities if you hadn't caught me, tired or not." Chaos said as Sol -barely- caught her.
And they were just standing there- well Sol was just standing there. Chaos felt her eyebrows furrow in confusion. Sol yawned and for a second Chaos thought he was going to drop her. He didn't look tired though. And then he sat down. With her still in his arms. She raised an eyebrow at him and he proceeded to explain. He was hungry.
"But my kni-" Chaos began to protest, but stopped at the last minute. She sighed.
Chaos supposed it couldn't be helped. If he was going to asleep, she couldn't make him take her to the van. The van that was getting oh so far away with her precious knives inside. That was a sad thought. However, she was confident that they would get them back. So as Sol closed his eyes, she leaned into him, relaxing. She wondered briefly how long a few moments was.

Sol could feel his conciousness slipping as the meager light he could see past his eyelids faded. He felt as if he was falling, as if his spirit had slipped from his body and through the ground. Soon he was falling through the air, untill he fell into a new body.
The Dream/Memory ____________________________________________________
Sol opened his eyes. This action was soon followed by a fit of coughing which he quickly stifled. Sol felt a dull ache in the back of his eyes and he reached up with one hand. Dried blood. He took a look at his surroundings.
Sol was pinned, waist and below, beneath a large pile of rubble with various scratches and bruises along the length of his body. His shirt was torn to shreds and their was one really nasty gash along the length of his left tricep. He didnt even have to look at it, he already knew its condition. It was full of splinters and was embedded with a piece of wooden shrapnel, already inflamed and close to infection.
Sol knew where he was, he was back home, on that day. He attempted to pull himself out from beneath the stones and wooden beams of his home but he collapsed and nearly let out a fatal shriek of pain due to the gaping holes in his hands. Fatal because they were still there, and the others were still screaming. Too much attention was the last thing Sol needed.
Sol groaned in his sleep. He reached over and rubbed his left tricep, revealing a long jagged scar. That wound was the only one Sol had ever recieved that had left a scar. But for it, you could hardly tell he had ever recieved a single scrape.

Sol had been asleep in moments. And Chaos noticed the raise in body temperature; for a moment she had thought he had a fever. Then she remembered it was Sol. So she sat and watched the snow fall. She brought her feet closer to her body, as she was sure they were going to freeze off if she didn't. Good thing Sol was warm, otherwise they would have issues. She was very comfortable and warm. She was more relaxed. And there was just something so serene about watching snow fall quietly. Her eyelids began to get heavy. She was just nodding of when Sol groaned.
For a moment Chaos thought he was waking up. But upon closer inspection she realized he was still asleep. However, the groan bugged her. It sounded almost...almost pained. Her brow furrowed in worry. His right hand slipped away from her legs and over her, reaching for his bicep. That's when she noticed a rather deep and jagged scar embedded in his skin. It looked very painful. She was tempted to touch it. But she didn't. Instead she used her arm that wasn't keeping her from collapsing on Sol and calmly poked him in the head with her finger.

Dream World ____________________________________________________
Sol managed to free his last leg and he stood up, almost immediatly falling back down. They had nailed holes in his ankles too. Walking should have been impossible, but Sol found the strength to stand.
He was preparing to set off for survivors when he felt something hit him in the head. Hard. Surprisingly there was no pain mostly annoyance and a little relief. Sol was confused for a moment. This never happened in his memory.
His eyes widened when he began to hear a familiar voice. It was Chaos and she was saying something about a bad dream.
Sol awoke with a start. The memory still fresh in his mind, he was barely able to stop himself from leaping to his feet and attacking the nearest thing in sight. He was breathing heavily and sweating slightly.
Sol looked over at Chaos and managed to summon a smile to his face. [glow=red,2,300]"Nothing to worry about. I wasnt having a bad dream. Not at all."[/glow]
Sol rubbed the scar on his tricep nervously. He hated when he dreamt about his memories of the worst day of his life.

When Sol started, so did Chaos. She nearly toppled into the snow because of it, but she had a pretty firm grip on his shoulder. He gave her a smile, a very fake smile that made Chaos's eyes narrow. Then he proceeded to tell her there was no bad dream. She gave him a look of disgust and stood, ignoring the sudden cold.
"I think maybe I've told you once, I detest liars. They are, to me, the worst kinds of people. You had a bad dream, fine. We all do. If you didn't want to talk about it, that's all you had to say. Even a 'stay out of my business' would have been more favorable." Chaos voice lost its venom as she carried on. "I don't want you to feel as if you have to hide from me. I don't want to see a mask, I want to see you. Don't hide from me." Chaos ran a hand through her hair and noticed it was considerably darker than before.
The woods became more sinister instead of serene. The sun wasn't completely down yet making shadows dance. The trees looked like they were reaching for something, anything. Chaos didn't know whether to be terrified or in awe, It was in its own way beautiful. However, there was just something eerily familiar about the landscape.
