Nodding Xilscor remained where he was, not leaving the house. He stepped back respectfully though and watched to see what his deity would do.
"No sir, you are not that transparent. It is just easy for one to tell when they have worshiped and believed in you for so long. Your presence is soothing to me, and always has been. So it was easy deduction that that was who you indeed where." He smiled and watched, wondering how his lord would proceed, or even if he would need help. Xilscor was pretty skilled in the art of healing himself, though he had never had occasion to attempt it upon a human before. Especially a mortally ill one such as the young lady before them. When she spoke, his large head slowly tilted towards her.
"If Locutus heals you, I very much doubt that you will have to pay any price. He is god of nature after all. However, " he paused, tilting his head and smiling his rather unpleasant smile, "your body may take time to adjust to the new state it is in. That cough you have will likely persist for some time until your body realizes that it does not need to perform that action any longer." He tilted his back to it's natural upright position, watching to see how his lord healed her so well. Perhaps he could learn something from watching, like how to heal bigger wounds better or even perhaps save a life.

The wolf couldn't help but chuckle softly."The two of you make it sound like it's such a big thing."He tilted his head towards Eva."No offense, I am sure it has changed your life, being told you only have so long to live. However, removing it is, in comparison, relatively simple, least for someone such as myself."
The wolf pushed himself to his feet, padding around the girl slowly. "Balance nature? Hm.... I am not sure that is how a gift works my dear lady. Normally it is only customary to accept, though in this instance, it is a choice, one I will accept either way. However, should you wish to, i certainly would not object if you had any wish to offer aid to help nature. My only request is that you do not abuse the offer."
The wolf finally came to a stop in front of her again."I wouldn't dream of demanding your service, but you are most certainly welcome to join it. I am sure by now you should have some inclination as to what I consider to be my calling. If you show dedication to helping protect this planet, you will of course be rewarded, though one must be careful. I am not fooled by false smiles and empty promises. The intention behind one's actions is what I see. Doing things to get rewards... well.. you'd get a reward... though you might not like it."

She thought while he spoke. Healed. She could go back to her parents...no she could never do that, she would have to explain it. She quickly accepted that, she didn't find it extremely hard to come to terms with it. Living, it wouldn't be a bad thing, and if she pledged herself to the wolf in a way where she would honor and protect nature she would still have a purpose. She could actually live. She chewed her bottom lip while she thought. It was a gift, she understood how that worked. Running her fingers through her hair she spoke.
"I would like to be healed...but I would give you my service, but my first service is to the element of wind. It comes to me when I call it, and I am thankful for it's strength. With wind by my side I can honor and protect nature when it is needed."
Such age with her words, like a woman of older time, she seemed to glow with a strength before she looked to the man and smiled lightly, she looked back to the wolf and nodded.
The minotaur nodded at the female's words, and spoke in his deep rumbling voice.
"Fear not, Lady. The way of the nature is a clear path, if not always the easiest. As long as you trod these steps, however, my own blade and armor will assist you as much as possible." He turned his head towards his liege and frowned slightly, shaking his head.
"To be healed by the god of nature himself is a great honor. Do not belittle yourself, lord. You know as well as I that you deserve that honor." He stood and glanced out a small window, gazing upon the icy setting surrounding his home. He was a patient being, and he knew the time would come when his lord chose to come clean about his visit. The god of nature did not usually make idly visits, even if it was to a devoted follower. He would just wait until the time came.
Turning, he grabbed a log and set it into the fire, making sure the burning coals surrounded the new log to heat it and cause it to burst into flames as well with in a few seconds. He then sat back down and watched for his lord to heal the young wind elemental as she had just informed them all she was.

The wolf gave a single nod to Eva's words, almost a bow of his head before he closed his eyes. Amazingly nothing visible would pass between the two. There was no fancy glow, no words of power. The wolf merely kept his eyes closed. Eva however would feel that divine power at work. Rapidly the cells of the woman's lungs would begin to shift back to normal. Ruptured vessels and cells would repair themselves as Locutus worked to restore their function to normal. As he had mentioned, it was slightly uncomfortable, making it a little difficult to breathe, but it wasn't painful or to the extent most people would panic over.
When he finished he would open his eyes once again, gazing at Eva for a moment before speaking. "You are now free of your cancer. It shall never bother you again."The wolf then waited for her reaction before continuing. "I also have something that will help you in the future, so long as your loyalty remains with the earth."With that he closed his eyes again. This time however, when he opened his eyes again, there would be a noticeable display of power. His eyes gave a green flash as he blessed Eva with his Keeper of the glade ability. A jungle green tattoo in the shape of a clawed Talon of a falcon upon Eva's skin. (location being left up to Eva since I'm nice.)
"I have bestowed upon you the power of my glade keepers. It is the first of five of my favored. With it you will no longer find it difficult to travel through the wild areas of this world. You'll also have no trouble scaling things. In time you may be granted more power, one of such powers includes the ability to change into any creature of my choosing. For an elemental that can be a powerful tool."
Locutus then turned towards Xilscor. "You humble me Xiscor, truly." He bowed his head towards the man."I am but the protector of nature. It is those of you who've never been tasked to protect nature, and others, yet do anyway, that should be honored. Sacrifice and devotion to a cause. You are living proof that there are people in this world that still hold true to their convictions. People like that are people I admire."

She was a bit nervous as he nodded to her and closed her eyes. She had expected a flash of power. Instead he concentrated, but the power she felt. It wasn't like when she called upon the wind, when she called upon the wind she could feel it on her skin in her soul, causing her to soar. The power of earth was different. Her skin warmed with the feeling of the sun on a warm day, the feeling of the grass against her skin as if she was running through a field, the sound of wind through the trees filled her ears as her chest tightened up like she was about to have a coughing fit. It didn't hurt, but it was really uncomfortable. She wiggled a bit as if she was stretching out her torso, attempting to stretch her lungs so she could breath.
Suddenly, air flew into her lungs, which caused her to gasp, having only been able to use thirty three percent of her lung power for the past month and a half, it was like she had been drowned in air. A hand went to her chest as she slowed her breathing excitement filling her eyes. She flung herself forward wrapping her arms around the neck of the wolf burying her face into his fur.
"Thank you, thank you so much."
She said into his fur before kissing his head and sitting back onto her knees and looking at him. She was taking deep breaths a giant smile on her face, enjoying the feeling of the air flowing in and out of her lungs.
She listened to him speak as a soft ache she felt on the inside of her right wrist, the ache dulled and faded, as she turned her wrist down looking at the bright tattoo that was now there. She lifted her wrist looking at it closely before looking back to the wolf.
"I will do my best to protect and honor nature,"
She said with pride. She paused for a moment realizing something.
Xilscor smiled as Locutus healed the female, but shook his head when the god spoke to him. He lowered his head in admonishment but spoke again softly.
"The words I speak are true. Not meant to humble. I only do my best to protect that which needs it. People don't need protection. Nature does. If nobody stood up for it, it can't really do that on it's own now can it." He shrugged his massive shoulders and listened to the woman speak her name.
"Well, Eva. My name is Xilscor. You may call me," the minotaur paused slightly, drawing it out before spitting it out, "Xilscor!!" He broke into laughter. So maybe it was a corny joke. But he was simply trying t lighten the mood. He was a fighter after all. Not a comedian.

The wolf chuckled slightly as he was hugged, his eyes closing as he took in a soft breath. Elementals always had a distinguishing scent to them, like all creatures. Each elemental was also different, though that shouldn't have been surprising to anyone. Wind elementals of course had that scent of fresh air, which, also unsurprisingly, Locutus found...refreshing.
He gave a nod to Eva, and then Xilscor as they introduced themselves to each other."Evangeline."The wolf tilted his head to the side, a look of curiosity about him."As I recall, the name translates to good news, yes?"He righted his head back to it's original position. "Pardon my saying so, but it is a bit of an... Ironic name, given your, until recent, condition. Though then again, giving birth is always good news. Though it fits. Good news always comes with fair winds yeah?"The deity chuckled softly."And I would consider your upward spirits nothing but good news."
The deity then nodded to Xilscor."An interesting, but never-the-less fitting name for such an interesting man. As I've mentioned before my name is Locutus, You already knew that, and you I guess learned it."He nodded to Xilscor and Eva respectively. "I don't have much of a formal name but that, Locutus, though I have given Ferox as a name before. Of the two Locutus makes more sense but I suppose whichever suits you best."The wolf trailed off with another nod, looking between the two now that introductions were out of the way.

Xilscor? She raised a brow and rubbed her wrist a bit. She smiled as he burst out laughing, leaning back a bit away from him. She looked at the wolf raising a brow. Maybe it was some kind of joke the man had. She didn't know, all she knew was that he was laughing. Hysterically. She though couldn't help but smile.
She looked at the wolf as he spoke sliding out of her leather jacket, revealing her naked arms, her white tank top tight against her body. She ran her fingers through her hair, looking back to the fire. She remembered her mother telling her the story of her name.
When her mother was 18, she had met her father, they married. After trying for months she went to a doctor to learn she had endometriosis, and she would never be with child. Imagine there delight when they got the news, just a month later that they were with child. And so the baby girl Evangeline was born bringing with her the delightful 'good news'.
The thought of her parents made her stare off into the flames, watching them lick at the air, capturing the oxygen it needed to burn. She only imaged what they were going through. Especially her dear father. He didn't even know she was an Elemental. What would he do? She dreaded if he would disowned her or not, she wasn't a human as she felt. She chewed her bottom lip as she thought.
As Locutus gave his name she looked at him and smiled slightly.
"And what....might I ask if it suits me to call you..."
She thought for a moment, pushing the thought of her parents away, a playful look replacing the serious one she just carried.
"Fluffy? Or Tiny?"
She wasn't mocking him, not in the least. She giggled a bit before covering her mouth and trying to look serious.
Xilscor stopped laughing slowly and listened as Locutus spoke. Yes, he had known the god's name. How could he not as he worshipped and prayed to the deity for strength and guidance? He listened to Eva, a grin crossing his face again and he chuckled deeply. He like this lady, she was funny and amusing. She seemed to be really nice as well.
He waited for Locutus response to her small jest, and after he reached out and touched the wolf's shoulder to get his attention. Locutus came here for a reason. Xilscor knew that. Being god of nature, he was bound to be exceptionally busy. But he had still come, all the way to the freezing nether regions of the planet to reach himself, a single minotaur.
"Locutus, lord, I hate to be a bother. But I know you did not come for small, idle conversation. You are a very busy deity. And I doubt I rank high enough up to just come and chat with, no offense meant. So may I ask, lord, why you have blessed me with such a visit?"

The wolf watched the elemental staring into the fire. His own gaze was drawn into them after a while, gazing into those flickering, dancing flames. At length he closed his eyes, letting the sound take in the void of his vision as the world around him melted away.
He chuckled softly as the woman spoke."Ah, perhaps not dear. I would prefer something along the lines of Locutus, or Ferox if you will. I... am not one for such pet names. You'll have to forgive me if I do not take to them. I have never quite seen the reason people come up with such silly things."The wolf bowed it's head once again to the elemental.
His attention was soon drawn to Xilscor as he asked the deity's intention with his visit."I am not... quite as busy as you would believe my good man. You would be surprised at the amount of time I find myself in. I do after all have a select group to look after things here and there after all. I also have very good ears. I can hear things even when I'm not there."The wolf nodded sagely though he was obviously jesting with the man.
"Can a deity not visit with one of his followers? Make sure he is aware that his devotion is known? Make him feel that his words do not fall on deaf ears? What sort of deity would I be if I did not visit with those who would call me their savior? Perhaps I am a bit... personal when it comes to my followers. I just feel impersonal relationships on such a level are so... unfulfilled. A deity should have as much faith in his followers as they have in him, and a good leader does not ask anything of his men that he himself is not willing to do, yes?"
The deity turned to face Xilscor, those eyes gleaming up into the tall man's gazing as if into the Minotaur's soul itself. It was a warm gaze, as if the wolf were smiling, if it could.
Smiling his strange smile, the minotaur would shake his head at the god's words slowly. He was right, after all. The god should visit it followers. Impersonal relationships never where good. They usually ended in disaster. The minotaur would even say this aloud.
"You are right. It is better to have a closer relationship with those you deem worthy. Otherwise you run the risk of pushing them away possible forever." The minotaur spoke softly, his mind working as he spoke. He was being thoughtful, and deep hearted, something usual for a minotaur, but not Xilscor. He was still touched that the deity had come to see him personally though. It was a honor, and not one he was going to forget so quickly.

She pouted a playful pout as he denied her pet name. She then smiled, and looked to Xilscor, then back to Locutus. Her thoughts still drifted to her parents. She had left because she didn't want them to watch her die. Now she was healed she couldn't go back. If anyone found out she was a Supe, her fathers career would be ruined, if not they would all be killed. She didn't see the since in letting them know she was alive either, the less they knew the more they could get on with there life right? She heaved a sigh as the two spoke, her mind at war with itself. She knew it wasn't right or fair to her parents, and she missed them so, but she couldn't hide her powers any longer. Not now that they had a tendency to run away with strong emotions. She twisted her hair around her fingers as she chewed on her bottom lip. She needed to rid herself of sad thoughts, or she might start crying. She finally looked up pushing those thoughts far away catching the last of the conversation.
"For even if we are alone He is there..."
She said softly. Her grandmama was a god fearing woman, and was always quoting the bible or preaching her of God. She couldn't help but smile to know Grandmama would be flipping her rocker if she knew what Eva had just come to realize.
"Are there others...like you..Gods that is? You are the first I've ever met. As well as quite possibly the only one i'll meet."
She smiled to Locutus, a dozen questions filling her mind, replacing the thoughts of her parents.

The wolf tilted his head. 'Were there other gods like him?' was the question."There are other deities out there yes. Each with their own area of influence. Forgery for example is another deity. He however likes to use trickery and deception to get what he wants. That is who he is. There of course are others, though there used to be more."
Locutus chuckled softly. "There are all manner of things in the supernatural world. Deities, Vampyres, elementals, gorgons... They're out there. Unfortunately, humanity being prone to fear like it is... they can't always wander out into the open without drawing fear or unwanted attention. Society has boiled down to people who fear what isn't normal. I'm sure if you took a race of people and made them all really tall, or really strong from birth... I'm sure people would treat them as they had treated people with different skin tones."

Xilscor nodded as his deity spoke. Humans had become extremely fearful of late, attacking anything different. It was why he was living way out here, far away from everybody instead of in town where he could employ his skills as a mercenary, bodyguard, and even as a blacksmith. He just didn't understand what they where so afraid of.
"Locutus makes a very good point Evangeline. Why do you think I live so far out here, away from everybody. It is because I was shunned from all the nearby towns, simply for being what I am. And human's even know about Ungrith’tar, knowing that they exist. Yet see how they treat me." The large being moved his massive shoulders, shrugging and causing his shimmering white fur to ripple along his body.
"We just try to get along the best we can. Nothing more."
