In the silence, the deity spoke up once again. "Though, perhaps, with any luck, the world won't always have to be that way. I know that we, as your gods... have been absent of late. We have not done our best to keep in touch with this world. For the longest time, we turned a deaf ear on our followers. Partly because of what we saw there."
"However, it is a poor excuse to explain why we have kept to ourselves all these years. That being said, we have returned, and hopefully... with our return, we will bring about a much needed change. It is my hope that in time, those of us who can accept differences will instill a sense of tolerance and acceptance into the general populace. Perhaps in time, we will see the day when the Ungrith'tar and elementals can once again walk, in open daylight, upon the same streets humans occupy."
The deity turned his gaze back towards the fire. It was an interesting idea, but one he liked. Of course he still believed the streets needed to be thinned out, but he had no dreams of destroying all of the cities of man. He was not without the understanding that with humanity brings advancement, the need to bond together, and the formation of items that improved their lives. Hell, even primates and birds often used 'tools', why couldn't humanity? All he cared about was that they learned how to limit their need to expand, learn how to co-exist with the environment better. Perhaps one day they'd see a balance.
