I was thinking, since you've already got the whole angel/demon thing going on, it is kind of unfair to give angels the most powerful being in the game.
So I've thought about it and, since everything needs a balance, I decided that we need a new demon class to be added. The Angel Hunter's opposite shall be the Demon Lord. {I know it's cliche, but it truly is the best fitting title.}
It shall be a legend of a demon who was cursed and made to be half-human, but went through the process of becoming a demon again, making him twice as strong. So know he is once again in touch with him past human side, as well as being a demon.
With that kind of story, it will have to be a set background, but the character can still be widely varied as to whether he's going to be good or evil, just like the Angel Hunter can make a choice. And by making it a full demon with the ability to still use human skills, he can become the perfect balance to the Angel Hunter.
Varos has a very symmetrical look, giving her a strange, unearthly beauty. Her favorite form has grey eyes and red hair. She usually seems quite calm, with the shadow of a smile on her lips and a hint of a frown around her eyes.
Also, you guys speak of the 'balance between angels and daemons' being rebalance.....you seem to forget the nature of the angel hunter. The angel hunter isn't against just daemons, he is against ALL supernatural beings. He is the balance between humans and supernaturals. Humans are the weakest species on the site, and do not get strong easily. Supernatural beings have ENORMOUS advantages over them...and the angel hunter is there to help keep THAT balance. Not a balance between angels and daemons who....in the world/universe of Distention should even have the blood feud you guys keep making them out to have.

Since the topic of angel hunter came up, I was wondering if maybe the angel hunter can be made into a quest. (Kill a certain creature/angel and you will become an angel hunter. Post must be equal or more than 100. This way you will know if the person is really worth being an angel hunter. Of course the gods could play the creature and have a select power of three. (The gods will not be the creatures, but the admins would of course.) Sounds interesting and fun don't you think?

I have two ideas.
The gods (admins get to play as the creature/angel). The post must be up to 100 post long or more to show the persons determination to be an angel hunter. Naturally the person must be an angel in order to become an angel hunter. The admin can have up to three powers of their choosing (if the admin chooses to be an angel then the admin must have the innate abilities and an extra)
Angel hunters can be created by killing the other angel hunter. Must have a thread of 100 post or more. The angel hunter may in fact use angel hunter tools against the challenging angel; however the challenging angel may not use angel hunter materials on the angel hunter.
I particularly liked these ideas because they make it more interesting to become an angel, and they make more of a challenge in this world like the quest for creatures. Don't you think this idea would be awesome as well?

If an alternate version of an Angel-Hunter is ever created, I would suggest an Arch-Daemon. The two entities could both represent two sides of the same coin, and could potentially be used to balance* the forces of nature or of morality. You have the Angel Hunter on one end of the spectrum, who's only purpose is really to eliminate any and all non-human creatures encountered. On the other end of the spectrum you would have the Arch-Daemon, who would have the purpose of causing enough strife within the community of non-humans to cause an uprising. When both are active at once, you have a force attempting to quell the non-humans, and another acting to do the opposite. If you ever consider it, at least. If you need a reason to balance the factions out OOCly it would fairly simple to just create another faction for the Angels, for the purpose of something strikingly similar, yet undoubtedly opposite. I personally would say the choice of religion is best, as the Daemons of Rome seem to side more with Roman Catholicism. Perhaps something along the lines of the Eastern Orthodoxy for the Angels. The two opposing orders would find many ways in and of themselves to clash, considering their origins are both steeped in opposite religions, and it would open up a spot for a new character to take the mantle of Arch-Daemon.
*For the sake of the Gods, of course. Everything always balances out in the end.

You could tie it in with Apollo's idea as well, by taking the traditional "Survival of the fittest" route. One a new being, be it Arch-Daemon or Angel-Hunter, is crowned, the opposing factions would likely take notice of the activities of the two entities. If one of them are eliminated, it means that they were unfit for that duty, and the eliminator takes their place. Granted, this means that the killer would likely have to either be an Angel or Daemon in the first place or undergo a serious transformation of identity. Then again, you could treat it as an act of ascension into a higher plane of existance, much like the ascension of any other creature into a god. Once the killer has killed the fiend of one side, a transfer of power would take place, and it would enter the closest and most able entity, which would likely be the killer. As a reward for the conquest you could potentially allow either side an additional number of points to start them off on their journey as a higher being, an automatic increase in stats, or perhaps even an ability or two to compensate for the fact that now all of their abilities and stats cost quite a bit more.

Thats actually an even better idea than mine. However there is still the fact that there will be no balance. A daemon hunter thats a daemon also the daemon faction. Daemons might be given too much lol. Although angel hunter powers being given to daemons sounds good, I dont think the goddess of balance would like having daemon hunters and daemon factions. Not unless they give angels a faction as well. So this idea of ours might have a few problems

That's why you balance things out by creating an alternate faction for the Angels which would act in a similar manner to that of the Daemons of Rome. Faith, religion, and power are all very powerful things, and when you pit two factions based in those things against one another on equal terms they would balance one another out fairly well. Think Anglicans and Catholics. The reason Ireland has given Britain so much trouble in the past, and even now, is due to the fact that the Irish are primarily Catholic, where the British are Anglican. Granted the two only differ in a single aspect, but look at exactly what has happened because of it. For a more modern look at the same example, if anyone has ever watched Hellsing, it's the conflict between the Vatican and Hellsing organisation. For the sake of a solid foundation, the Angel's faction would likely be in Constantinople if of Eastern Orthodox origins, or inside of Great Britain is of Anglican origins, and so on and so forth. The idea is to make the two factions as fundamentally similar as possible, while still giving them a reason to remain separate, and hold some form of grudge against one another.

To be frank, I don't think there are enough active members at the moment to support either a new character option, or any large changes. It would be best, in my own opinion, to wait until the playerbase starts to refill itself, and then to introduce the changes slowly. A total of four, MAYBE five or six people is not nearly enough to populate two factions plus the additional two characters, especially without having a conflict between any two characters.

Lol maybe for now we just do the last idea I mentioned until we have enough active members to start a new faction. Once we have that then we can ask for the gods to make the angel faction and daemon (hunter). Sounds good to you admins?
