The minotaurs were toppled by the sweep from Stormchaser's tail and, when Stormchaser snapped it's lance, the centaur quickly pulled out a cavalry saber and hacked at his neck.
The elderly angel woman, between lightning bolts that Stormchaser, being closed in the warehouse, could not easily charge, shouted orders. "Mina, aim for it's joints! Cripple the beast!" She commanded the younger female with the bow.
"Gerald, Isaac! Flank it!" she shouted to the male angel knights. Tyrus was obviously taking a backseat in this fight, looking too tired and worn out from his injuries to participate much.
The female angel with the massive greatbow fired quickly, launching two arrows in rapid succession, aiming for Stormchaser's joints, seeking to cripple him while the angel knights closed in, attacking Stormchaser's underside from his flanks. With such a united, deadly front presented, things were not looking good.
Shortly after Stormchaser's dramatic entry, Gram's men entered rifles at the ready. One minotaur was riddled with bullets, the centaur collapsed, a round through his leg.
"Drew!" Gram shouted, gesturing toward the women in the back. Drew aimed first for the elderly leader, seeking to take out their leadership, and she went down, blood blossoming from her hip and abdomen. Strolling almost casually through the doorway, Gram put a bullet in the head of one of the supernaturals who was still alive, wounded by Stormchaser's initial assault. He surveyed the battle so far and, with six enemies down and not a single casualty on their side so far, he felt that things were going well.

Stormchaser, while unable to move much, was still able to shift enough to have the arrows sink into his flanks rather than into the joints. And while painful, he was still able to function and with him taking the hits, it kept Chaltah relatively safe for the moment. A hail of bullets pelted the centaur who had tried to cut off his head and the minotaur dropping as well. And with the lightning tosser down he reaches down to pick up the centaur's body in his mouth and flings it at the archer.
Chaltah picks up the broken pointy end of the lance and turns to face one of the angels coming to try and flank the dragon "Oh no you don't buddy." and swings from her left hip to the top of the angel's left shoulder. She would focus on this guy while Storm dealt with the other angel.

The remaining minotaur climbed to his feet, wincing slightly as he stood on a twisted ankle. He took up his hammer and turned to attack Chaltah but, a moment later, he went down, riddled with holes.
Gram's men were swiftly cleaning up the remainder of the supernatural forces, but their bullets were just pinging off of the angel knights' armor and their shields. When Chaltah swung the broken lance at one, Gerald, he lifted his shield to block, thrusting forward with his sword as he did so. If she didn't get out of the way in time, Chaltah would be skewered. The other angel knight, Isaac, hacked at Stormchaser's neck.
The angel woman with the bow ducked and rolled underneath the centaur thrown at her, but she never came back to her feat, shot by Drew.
Gram saw Tyrus going for the scroll, where it lay on a table in the back. He shot and missed his head, hitting his hand instead. Tyrus just gritted his teeth, holding his injured hand in the other, and glanced Gram's way, his eyes promising retribution, before he hopped down an apparent escape hatch nearby.
"Surrender!" Gram shouted to the two knights. "All of your comrades are dead!" He told them, but they just continued to press their attacks.

Chaltah was quick to move out of the way of the sword as it came toward her and would bring the makeshift weapon around to try and hit the back of his knees in an attempt to bring him to the ground. As much as she respected angels, it was hard to think that they would side with a daemon on anything. Usually there were two sides of the same coin. But she didn't have time to dwell on that as she focused on the angel knight's movements, ready to make the next move.
Stormchaser backs up and swipes at the angel as it tried to attack his neck and growls, smoke rising from his nostrils "It doesn't have to be this way" he rumbles to the angel though he was fairly certain that the angel would beg to differ on the matter of having to kill their little party. He hoped that whatever was on this scroll was worth the lives of so many supernaturals.

Gerald, the angel knight, did not blink when his sword thrust was dodged. Instead, he merely brought his blade back in and continued to press his attack. "It is futile to resist. You made your choice, so allow yourself to die like the treacherous dogs you are and, perhaps, I will give you a clean death." He said loudly, his voice calm as he attacked Chaltah.
When Chaltah attempted to bring her makeshift quarterstaff around to strike the back of his knees, instead of blocking with his shield or parrying with his sword, Gerald came forward, making to move inside her reach to render her long weapons less effective and strike her with a bash from his shield, a blow that, if it landed, would likely knock her from her feet and give him the opening he required for a coup de grace. When Stormchaser swiped at Isaac, he abandoned his initial swing, redirecting it towards the dragon's incoming claw as he simultaneously threw his shield up. Stormchaser's blow sent him careening to the side but he was relatively uninjured, protected by his armor and shield. He was about to resume his attack when a blast from behind knocked him off of his feet and onto his face.
"It's about time we brought this to an end." Gram said calmly, holding the shotgun with which he had just, at point blank range, shot the angel with. There was only the one foe left, the other angel knight that was fighting Chaltah. Stormchaser, now no longer occupied with Isaac, could hopefully intervene to take the other knight by surprise and end the fight.

While Chaltah was a rather nimble person, she couldn't avoid the shield as it slammed into her, sending her sprawling to the ground. Her vision blurred a moment and when it cleared she could see the angle standing over her. This didn't look good for her as he raised the sword to finish her off.
Stormchaser was turning to face the angel he had swiped when the gunshot from behind felled the celestial with ease. Then turning to see Chaltah laying on the ground and the last angel standing over her he lunges, bringing his maw to bear on the warrior, aiming to grab him by his shoulder and shake him like a rag doll. He would not allow his friend to die if he could help it. He also puts a claw over Chaltah and drags her closer to his body so he could better protect her from any other threats that there might still be.

Gerald smirked from inside his helmet, not knowing that moments ago his last ally had been killed, as he lifted his sword to finish Chaltah off. When Stormchaser gripped him in his maw and shook him wildly, he was taken completely by surprise. The dragon's teeth crunched through his armor and sunk into flesh, the vigorous shaking nearly tearing him apart. The angel knight's weapon and shield went flying from his hand, torn from his grip. When he was dropped to the floor, he just lay there, coughing blood onto the inside of his helmet's visor.
Meanwhile, Gram had made his way around them to the table where the scroll lay. When he set his hands on the coveted relic, he grinned wider than he ever had before. There was something about a challenge to acquiring the things he wanted that made the actual acquiring of them, once the challenge had been surpassed, all the more pleasing. Turning to speak to Chaltah and her dragon "We should go. The police will likely been here any moment." he told them.
Taking out his cell, Gram called the translator he had on standby to translate the scrolls writings as he left the warehouse.

Chaltah looks at the angel as he fell to the ground after Stormchaser was done shaking him like a rag doll, kneeling down to look at the Angel "I am sorry that you believe us to be traitors. I know you wish us dead because you think we betrayed you and our kind. But the humans are going to find out some day. The sooner you come to accept it, the sooner you may perhaps accept mortals as your friends or allies" she places a hand on his chest for a moment before standing and waiting til all the others were out, even the dragon before she headed back outside the warehouse.
Stormchaser was ever so eager to make his way out of the confining space and also takes on the form of a human once more after removing the arrows that were in his side. "Well, I hope we won't have to do this again any time soon"

Gram discreetly sent a text to a group of men he had on standby who would enter the warehouse after they'd left and collect the bodies so they could be sent back to the states to be preserved and studied by Gram at his leisure. He fully intended to research the creatures' biology and genetics more thoroughly once he'd finished with the scroll.
At Stormchaser's remark, Gram spoke, his voice doubtful. "I think we may. Tyrus escaped the battle and, now that we have the scroll, it is likely that he will come at us, at least one more time, with everything they have left to throw." His voice lightened and he smiled slightly. "However, now that we have the scroll, we need merely hole up somewhere defendable while the scroll is translated and they should pose little threat."
He waved his hand toward the cars. "Come. The translator is waiting for us back at the hotel."

Chaltah nods and gets in the car with a sigh. She hated all the death that had happened in the last few days. So many lives lost. She doubted there was anything different that could have happened. Unless she hadn't chosen to defend the man at her doorstep. But that could have set a whole different set of wheels in motion.
Stormchaser gets in next to her and wraps an arm around her shoulders, noticing the very distant look in her eyes "Do not think about all that has happened. Just know we did what we had to" He gazes out at the sight of the warehouse a moment longer then looks away, deciding to take his own advice. "Let's find out what is on that scroll the man wanted so much to put so many mortals and his own life at risk."
Chaltah gives a slight nod and looks back to her companion "Yes, this had better be worth the blood that was shed"

Getting back into their cars, Gram and his men drove immediately to where the translator was located, waiting for them. A scroll so old, that was kept in an ancient library in Egypt, it had not been difficult for Gram to anticipate that it would be in a language that he would be unable to read without a little help, so he'd taken steps to hire a translator who could.
Once they'd arrived back at the hotel, they headed up to Gram's room where the translator was waiting. "Thank you for coming on such short notice," Gram began as soon as he'd entered and seen the translator waiting at the table. "This is the scroll in question. Can you read it?" He handed over the scroll he'd worked so hard to acquire "The dialect is... unusual, but yes. I believe I can work with this." she took it and immediately began looking it over, jotting down notes and rough translations in a notebook she kept to the side. While the translator looked the scroll over, Gram walked over to Chaltah and Stormchaser.
"This is the translator I hired to translate the scroll for us. Her name is Elizabeth Chrisholm and, from what I've learned about her, she's one of the best."

Chaltah nods and looks around the room. "This place makes our room seem like our house in comparison" she comments after a few moments. Stormchaser nods his agreement to her analogy of the rooms. "You must make a lot of money to afford these luxuries" She then turns to look at the woman who was doing the work of translating "You said the dialect was unusual. What about it is unusual miss?"
Stormchaser moved to look out the window as the others were talking, enjoying the rather pleasant view from where they were at. "The view is amazing" he said out loud though to no one in particular. "It's almost like looking down from a mountain."
Chaltah yawns suddenly as the day was suddenly catching up to her, adrenaline was finally ramping down and she was quickly starting to fade as time wore on. "I think I am going to head off to bed"

Gram shrugged and neglected to comment on the obscene amount of money he made. "I work hard and travel can be stressful, I do not neglect my comfort whenever possible." In truth, Gram was indifferent to most of the trappings of wealth, but he still kept them out of principle. His intellect was not a visible thing but exercising his wealth in such ways served to visibly elevate him above the inferior drones that made up the vast majority of the human race. It alienated him from others and he was fine with that. At Chaltah's question, the translator momentarily lifted her head from her work. She frowned for a moment as she thought of a way to explain it in the simplest terms possible. "The writing is much like egyptian, but slightly different, likely influenced by some supernatural tongues we are unfamiliar with. I can still understand it, but it may take a little while longer."
When Chaltah spoke of retiring for the night, "I am also feeling somewhat tired. I'm sure Elizabeth will explain her findings to us in the morning." With that, Gram retired to his chambers.

Chaltah takes her leave, along with Stormchaser and they get ready to climb into bed and pass out. It had been an incredibly long, strenuous day and they were both in need of sleep. There was little on their mind except sleep, but a shower was needed to clean up the blood and grime from them so they wouldn't get the beds dirty. Stormchaser uses the hot tub to clean up while Chal used the bathroom to wash up and change her clothes. As she washed, her mind thought about what they would do about the daemon that had managed to escape the attack. There was little they could do about it tonight unless he decided to drop in while they were asleep. But she was too tired to care at the moment so the two finally crawl in and would likely sleep through the night and even sun up unless they were interrupted from their peaceful bliss by welcome, or unwelcome, company.

Gram initially found it difficult to fall asleep, so excited he was about the scroll, but after a while he sank into dreams power and possibilities beyond that of what he had ever imagined. When he awoke, he quickly went through his morning routine before getting dressed in a simple pair of dark jeans and throwing on a tshirt.
Heading swiftly toward where Elizabeth was working, Gram's mind was abuzz, his thoughts churning rapidly. Since his initial encounter and subsequent realization of the reality that supernatural creatures lived, hidden, among humans, the young man had seen many amazing acts performed by supernaturals. Creatures who could produce flame from nothing, others who could shift their form into another's in mere seconds, and other extraordinary feats. The thought that he may soon be able to do such a thing had the cogs of his mind turning to figure out the best way to use his abilities to his advantage, once he possessed them.
Shaking his head, Gram cleared his thoughts of such things. It would not do for him to get ahead of himself on this. The scroll's function might not even work in such a way and expecting that it did would only serve to set him up for disappointment. He walked up to the table where Elizabeth had been working all night. "What have you discovered?" He asked, careful to keep his voice neutral.
"A ritual, of sorts." She answered, glancing over her notes briefly before making eye contact.
"A ritual for what, exactly?"
"It is not entirely clear, but the scroll does mention the something about great power, upon completion of the ritual."
From what she'd told him, the scroll sounded like everything Gram had hoped it would be. "What does the ritual entail?"
