"Sure. I'd appreciate the ride," Jack said with a shrug, suppressing the urge to frown at Bayla. Jack didn't like her very much. He also didn't trust her. He also didn't like the thought of relying on what was essentially a flying gecko for, well, anything, really. He liked to think of himself as self sufficient. Did he mention that he also doesn't like her?
If the going got too tough, he'd just make it go less tough. What else was magic for, anyways? He could always just teleport home if he needed to. He guessed he could also maybe sort of fly if he had to. But whatever. Crossing bridges and all that.
Jack watched Stilia fly off and Kage and Apollo climb onto Bayla's back before approaching the dragon himself. As he settled into a position on her back, the young man began contemplating his options. The fire was very quickly growing beyond what he was capable of stopping easily, if it hadn't already. Even if the Chimera hadn't caused all of this, it was still probably either dead or in the process of getting gone. And if it had stuck around and somehow not died, the battlefield wasn't super safe right now.
Raging fires all around and the heavy smoke that accompanied them... Jack wasn't liking how this whole situation was developing.

The group was lucky, they managed to get out without much incident. Although Stilia was coughing a little bit from the smoke, although she managed to stay out of it most of the time. She had kept distance from Bayla, to avoid being buffeted by the wind of her wings, and they had all flown safely.
It seemed Apollo wasn't very interested in following after the Chimera. Maybe Bayla had convinced him otherwise. Stilia also turned to her daughter, her voice getting firm. "It's too dangerous, I want you to stay behind."
The fire had scared Stilia, she'd been worried about Ata's safety more then anything else. If that were to happen in a fight with the Chimera, she might get herself or another hurt in her attempt at keeping Ata safe. The girl meant the world to her, and she wouldn't want her lovely plant daughter to die in flames.
She turned to Kage and Jackson. "That leaves us then. Does anyone have any ideas?"

Kage sighed, getting off the dragon once they had landed and watched as they left. This very much depressed Sturmgeist who slumped dejectedly beneath his cloak. Kage felt pretty bad for the little beastie, feeling it's thoughts and feelings as well. Yet he knew what he had decided was right, and he needed to keep the small dragon hidden for now. His hidden ace in the hole, to help him over come things. Besides, he doubted that the presence of Sturm would have changed the feminine dragon's mind very much. She had seemed to dislike everybody, and probably would have hurt the poor smaller dragon's feelings at her cold cynicalness.
Leaning against the closest thing, Kage crossed his arms and looked on as the mother Stilia demanded her daughter return home because this mission was far to dangerous. Kage raised an eyebrow, but held his peace and let the two of them sort things out themselves. He was not here to get involved with some family debate. He was instead here to kill himself a damn chimera monster, that had just set fire to a large swath of land in an attempt to kill them. It showed the creature was at least slightly more intelligent then just some mindless beast. When everything had finished, it was just three of them left; Stilia, Mr. Mask, and himself.
Stilia finally spoke to them, asking a pretty obvious question. Kage however had nothing up his sleeve..well other then Sturm. He did not have an answer to her question, but probably could think of one if he really needed to. He was not typically fond of working in groups with other people. The best they usually served was to slow him down....or make for good bait. One did not have to run faster then a monster, just the person beside them.
"I have nothing, at least at the moment. It is obvious we need some way of combating the creature....and more specifically it's flames. How we might do that I am not entirely sure, but that should be our top priority in my opinion."

Jack reached up to scratch his chin, thinking. He had to admit to himself that he wasn't terribly surprised that Apollo, Bayla, and whatshernameAtalina had left. Hunting beasts wasn't for everyone. It was about as dangerous a task as one could embark on and definitely not for the faint of heart or wavering wills. The young man considered putting on his mask. He hadn't taken it out yet, not really feeling that he needed it all the way out here in the wilderness, at least not until they confronted the creature anyways. Oh well. He had time to decide.
"Don't worry. I can handle the creature's flames for everyone no problem," He assured Kage. Jack gave a slight shrug, knowing he could probably take the Chimera by himself. But it was sort of like any other cooperative type of activity. A couple extra bodies in the mix, drawing away attacks that would've otherwise come his way, always made his life easier. It was part of the fun that came with fighting with allies on your side. Of course, it did mean he probably couldn't exactly cut loose like he might've done otherwise, in the interest of being secretive and paranoid, but it was offset somewhat by the fact that, with help, he didn't really need to.
"I've got an idea, I guess. We could try figuring out what direction the flames spread." Jack paused for a second, thinking, before he continued. "Or we could just sit around and wait. The Chimera might come for us if it figured out we didn't die in the blaze, assuming the fire was its attempt to kill us without putting itself in much danger. Now that our numbers are significantly lessened, we must seem like a much more appealing target for it to attack directly."
Looking at the other two, the young man adjusted the strap of the shotgun he carried discreetly on his back, wondering what they thought about what he'd said. Now that he'd voiced his concerns, Jack felt a little nervous. Almost as if a monster might burst from the bushes to attack them any minute now. Like, next post any minute if no one proposed anything better.

Nasheeka and Kelseth have been on Earth a while now, traveling everywhere to learn more about the strange new place. They have been to Alaska, Canada and even South America, just now travelling to a place called Europe. They heard of a mystical creature called the Chimera, which was a deadly beast located in the wilds of Europe. She decided she wanted to try to witness this great beast when she suddenly saw bursts of flames in the distance. She watched the fire quickly move across the woods. Kelseth quickly turned directions to investigate these flames, hoping no one was in danger. While riding closer, they saw several people run out of the woods, standing watching the flames. Kelseth flew close to the ground, letting Nasheeka hop off as Kelseth began flying around the fire, spitting water towards it, hoping to put some flames out. Nasheeka approached the group, seeing if they are alright. "Stilia? Is that you? Are you guys ok? I just saw the flames in the distance." She said, looking very concerned. She stands there, waiting for a response as she ties her hair into a braid and grabs her spear off her holster on her back.

It wasn't really a job for the UNSAID but knowing about supernatural happenings was part of the job. She came across plenty of rumors of the Chimera causing havoc out here and none had be able to stop it. Apparently another member was spotted heading here as well. It was unofficial business to assist and make sure he didn't die.
The smoke and flames were nearly unbearable but Beth managed to get through. In the distance she discovered a small group in an area that looked like it had been untouched by the fire. Quickly, she made her way over to them.
"Are any of you named Apollo by chance?" Bethany glanced around the group of strangers. "Kage. It's good to see you. And Jack." She greeted each of the guys with a smile as she said their names.
It seemed she had answered her own question. Out of the group, only two were male and she happened to know who they were. Bethany frowned. Maybe she'd still find him after this monster was dead.
I'm Bethany. Its nice to meet you." She kept her introduction short and sweet. Now didn't seem like a good time for long conversation. "I'm guessing the Chimera is nearby." She said, stating the obvious. She hoped no one had died from the creatures attack. Beth had come all the way out here prepared to fight. A little fire didn't scare her.

Jack suggested following the flames or simply waiting around. "It would be better if we found it, use the element of surprise to quickly dispatch of it."
It seemed however, that despite the decrease of numbers, more randomly showed up. They were back to the exact same amount of people and dragons, for Nasheeka approached. Stilia turned in surprise to the call of her name. "Yes, we are all fine, thank you, but what are you doing here? Of course, it is good to see you, but I am surprised."
Another came, asking for Apollo, and recognizing Jack and Kage. "He has just left, I believe Bayla convinced him to leave."
Now was not the time for chitter chatter, however. "We are about to go find the Chimera. It is threatening too many, starting fires like this. If you are all prepared, we should move, find it, dispatch of it as quickly as we can."
Kage watched as Apollo left, seemingly convinced by the dragoness to abandon them all to whatever fate lay ahead. Yet, it seemed that what ever fate they might have might be better as a new dragon and rider appeared. This dragon and draconian where much more cordial then Apollo and his dragon had been. The new comer female greeted them and asked to ensure their well being was intact while her dragon companion began to spew forth water that slightly dampened the flames roaring about them. It seemed this draconian was much more helpful, and the dragon was much more eager to help them upon this quest.
Then somebody else appeared, somebody who Kage did recognize and that recognition brought a small smile to his lips. It was Bethany, somebody he had helped before. Unfortunately, that might also spoil his surprise that was stirring beneath his cloak wanting to jump out and greet Bethany as well as the new dragoness and draconian who had just appeared. It took a stern mental command from Kage to keep Sturmgeist in his place, hidden beneath his cloak. Kage nodded towards Bethany, but Stilia was right. It was not a time for chit chat, getting to know each other and mincing words. It was time for action, and time to kill a chimera.
Kage hefted his staff, spinning it in his right hand as he looked between them all and nodded to each. It was time to take the fight to the chimera, and with a dragon who could exhale water would be extremely helpful in dampening the fiery spirit of the fire spewing monster. It was time for action, instead of words which they seem to have been pandering endlessly instead of fighting.
"We should attack now, instead of bantering words around. The creature thinks it might have chased us away with it's last batch of fire, and so we should press the advantage now and have surprise upon our side."

Jack nearly flinched when the new dragon appeared, more expecting the Chimera to come flying out of nowhere than another dragon. It began hosing down some of the nearby flames which was awfully nice of it. A human, seemingly its rider, approached and asked them all if they were ok, even greeting Stilia by name. Weird. Anyways, it would by nice to have them. Soon after, another woman approached and greeted them. Now they were back to the original number of people they'd had before the forest had caught fire.
The young man looked to regard the newcomers curiously. One of them knew his name, apparently. Jack didn't wish to seem rude, so he responded with a warm smile and a slight wave, hoping the muted greeting didn't betray his confusion. She introduced herself as Bethany and Stilia explained that they were about to set out after the Chimera, answering her question.
"Surprise is nice," The young man agreed with Kage, moments before the Chimera came charging out of the woods at them, moving awfully fast as it flapped its wings to aid in its momentum.

Nasheeka turned as she saw a red-headed woman approach. More people? I guess they are lucky we were here. She watched as Kelseth continued to pour water onto the flames, dampening them. Nasheeka smiled as Stilia spoke. "I was just exploring with Kelseth, when I saw the forests go up in flames! I figured I'd come and help." She said. She started putting her brown hair in a braid as the group made a plan. She nodded in agreement with Kage, who said to surprise attack it. But she doubted that a creature like this would just give up and forget about them. She jumped and let out a small scream as the Chimera ran out of the woods behind her. She grabed her shield and her spear off its holster and prepared to fight.
Kelseth heard the scream of Nasheeka, and immediately stopped trying to put out the fire, and rushed towards the group. She saw the Chimera charging towards the group, and more importantly, Nasheeka. She let out a great roar as she dove towards the Chimera, who was just letting out flames that rushed towards the group. Kelseth took a deep breath and then spit out scalding hot water right in front of the group, so the flames would not reach them. She landed on the ground, in between the group and the chimera and waited for its next move.
Nasheeka watched as Kelseth put out the flames and landed. She ran towards Kelseth and climbed onto her.

Bayla? Beth had a brief look of confusion. They had told her about Apollo, but nothing about a Bayla. Now wasn't the time to ask questions unfortunately. She nodded to Stilia and listened to what everyone was saying.
One perk of being a member of UNSAID was having opportunity to learn a lot about the supernatural world. Another was being provided with the firepower to shoot it out of the sky. Bethany was loading ammo into the rifle while the others spoke briefly.
Nasheeka and her Dragon were doing a great job fighting back, which was also distracting the beast from her, allowing her to prepare and aim. She took a moment before taking the shot. Once the Chimera was facing back towards the group she had what she wanted in view and pulled the trigger. The bullet was right on target (to her suprise) and hit the Chimera's left eye hopefully causing some blindness. Beth hurried to try and hit the other eye but it was about the time the flames came towards them which caused her to miss the second shot. Lucky for them, the dragon was able to put out the flames.

"Oh no! The Chimera!"
It sounded like a line out of a bad B-List movie, especially with the timing of the beast. But, unfortunately, this was all too real. The creature rushed towards Nasheeka, spitting flames, but the dragon interveened. The water she spat was just as hot, and Stilia swore a little under her breath when a drop splashed onto her hand. Beth got right on it as well, and Stilia was impressed with her accuracy. This was a trained woman, be it by someone else or simply bettering herself constantly. It was an admirable trait, and Stilia made a mental note to speak to her later.
But for now, there was the matter at hand. Between the six of them, Stilia was fairly certain they could take it down quickly. In fact, she was a bit surprised the Chimera would rush at them like this. Of course, the creature was used to humans, and not other supernatural creatures, but it still seemed silly for it. Was it desperate?
Stilia unfurled her whip, and lashed out at the creature. The gryphon tail sliced nicely through the skin and meat of the beast, causing it to roar in pain. The creature flapped it's wings, rising surprisingly quickly, as it spat some flames towards her. Great, now she was going to get splashed by hot water again.
For some strange reason, Stilia raised her hand, out of an instict, to protect herself. The fire stopped it's stream and shot back towards the Chimera. It did no damage, but, well, that was not what she had been expecting.
"That was new." She mumbled to herself, looking at her hand.

Kage was growing tired of this fire breathing, flying beast from hell. He wanted it down, out of commission for good and he was going to accomplish that. The creature seemed to have three weapons; it's fire breath which negated some what by the scalding water that was being spewed from the massive new come dragon was still a threat (he did not see Stilia's near miss busy with his own attack), it's ability to fly and get out of most of their reaches, and the massive serpentine tail snapping and hissing keeping everybody back and away from the creature and getting to close. On a spur, Kage realized he could hinder all three of these, if not take two out completely.
Throwing his cloak back, Kage finally revealed his 'secret weapon' in a flash of purple scales. Sturmgeist, having been listening to Kage's thoughts already knew what to do. The serpentine dragon shot forth like a purple bolt of lightning and wrapped itself around the chimera's neck, squeezing down with all the might Sturm's body could muster. It was not enough to choke the monster to death, but strong enough to hinder it's flame spewing maw. Baring it's own fangs, Sturm hissed loudly and spewed forth a massive stream of powerful acid. Spraying it all over the chimera's left wing, powerful acid quickly dissolved the weak feathers destroying the chimera's wing and sending it plunging back to the ground in a slight left curve.
As his cloak flew back, Kage seized a one of his throwing daggers from his cloak and hurled it over the chimera's back to distract the serpentine tail. Rolling forth beneath the flames that Stilia sent back towards the chimera, he gripped his staff in both hands and twisted it apart in to it's two separate halves exposing the blades hidden inside each side. He spun the left blade in his hand, shoving the ends with no blades together and twisting again in a practiced movement creating a dual bladed staff. Coming back up to his feet on the right side of the chimera (opposite the side Sturm was hosing down the wing with acid...cause that would be painful derp) he lashed out at the serpentine tail with one end of his now bladed staff, slicing deep in to the scaled flesh there trying to find some sort of spine to sever and paralyze the tail to prevent it from attacking anybody. He hoped while he moved that he was not getting in anybody else's way.
Sturm, having critically injured the beast's wing, and partially limited the creature's ability to spew forth it's fiery wrath released the monster and jetted away, wings beating furiously to carry it away from the creature's head where most people's attacks seemed to be concentrated to give them all a clear line of attack as well and not be in anybody's way as Sturm searched for another opening to dart in with it's quick speed and attack again with teeth and acid upon the monster.

As he informed the others of the Chimera's appearance, the young man calmly, almost casually, drew five knives and tossed them into the air. The blades arced perfectly, guided by his metal manipulation, and embedded themselves along the length of the creature, two in its left hindquarters with the two more in its ribs and the fifth in its left shoulder. The Chimera roared with pain under each new attack from the group, obviously having underestimated them.
Ten began to twist the blades, shredding the muscles of the creatures shoulder and hip while the two in its ribs were forced in that much deeper to grind up its insides. Looking to eliminate that troublesome snake head, the young man took one of the knives he'd flung into its hindquarters and wrapped the metal around the base of the snake before forcing it closed, chopping the snake's head off.
Seeing that the dragon's water had the Chimera's fire more or less under control, Jack was tempted to hold back, not wanting to reveal that he could create and manipulate water in front of so many people. Only two other living people had witnessed him demonstrating abilities beyond the fraction he chose to reveal to most. Other than those two, the young man had only ever revealed his metal manipulation abilities and spoken of his danger sense, even keeping his teleportation under wraps for the most part. He wasn't entirely sure why he did it. Maybe he just liked keeping secrets, even from his friends. Or maybe it was fear.
Nearly blind, crippled in both its mediums, swiftly running out of healthy heads, and with burgeoning internal and external wounds, the Chimera was growing more and more desperate, increasingly making mistakes. The six of them were simply overwhelming the beast and there was little it could do about it. Hell, it couldn't even run away anymore. Two heads, one of which was the snake head, were dead. That left two functional and, as horribly wounded as it was from their continued assault, the Chimera would soon fall.

Samantha watched in amazement as the others fought. They obviously have fought massive beasts before, but now she would help them. "Lets finish this." Samantha said, telepathically to Kelseth. Kelseth nodded as she let out a massive roar, getting the attention of the Chimera. Kelseth could tell it was badly injured. They circled each other, slowly waiting for someone to make their move. The Chimera made the first move, charging towards Kelseth and tackling her full force. She went up onto her hind legs as the chimera continued to push. She attempted to push back, but it was to late and she fell onto her back with the Chimera on top of her. While all this was going on, Samantha held on for her life, getting knocked everywhere. When Kelseth went onto her back, Samantha was flown several yards away and laid on the ground, injured. The Chimera attempted to bite the neck of Kelseth, but Kelseth was able to scratch the Chimera in the face, knocking him off balance.
The Chimera was pushed off Kelseth, as she got onto her legs and growled at the Chimera. She dove up into the air, taking flight. She hovered several yards in the air, looking at the growling Chimera below her. She dove down towards it, picking it up with her claws. She carried it high up into the air. The Chimera continued to attempt to attack Kelseth, but was unable to reach her. Kelseth hovered roughly a hundred feet in the air, or more. She let out a deafening roar, showing her anger. She looked down at the chimera, who kept snapping her her. She bit into his neck, and shook him ferociously, with blood going everywhere. She let go of the dieing Chimera, assuming the chimera would be dead from cutting arties and blood vessels in his neck.
Samantha leaned up from the ground, when suddenly droplets of blood fell on her from above. She watched as the Chimera crashed onto the ground. She watched eagerly. Was he dead?
