Gwen thought she had done something nice and comforting, but it appeared that she'd only upset him as he pulled his hand from hers. " Man i really am a horrible date" she thought to her self. She was about to apologize profusely for upsetting him, but as she opened her lips they were met with a finger. Gwen blinked in confusion at his strange actions, but she could suddenly smell the delicious aroma that she craved. Someone was bleeding and his sent Gwen's senses into over drive.
Gwen didn't want to seem like a druggy going through withdraws, but she was hungry and it'd been sometime since she'd last fed. It was then that Kage passed her the napkin and she soon realized that it was the source of the smell. The word Danger was written on it in what she could only assume was his blood. He caressed the back of her head and they both stood eyes locked; she smiled as if he'd written something playful; not wanting to give any sign that she knew of the impending danger. "How about we skip dinner, and just head for desert?" he said maintaining a coy smile, but held a seriousness deep in his eyes.
She leaned in close to his ear "You have some explaining to do" she whispered so only he could hear. She pulled back maintaining her smile. "Lead the way" she purred. Grasping he blood soaked napkin tightly in her hand.

He smiled, and taking her hand he began to lead her from the restaurant. With out food or anything to drink besides the complimentary tea, there was no bill to pay. Besides, even if there had been he would have skipped out anyways, and who would have stopped the man anyways? He lead her out of the door, holding the portal open for the female and glancing around. He was stiff, body full of anxiety. He stepped out after her and shoved the door closed to make the automatic closing door close faster. He then grasped her hand, trying his best not to crush it in his grasp as he moved along with her moving at the fastest he could with out flat out breaking in to a run.
A shadow passed over the stars and moon for a moment, blotting them out partially with the shaped of a winged creature. Kage glanced up, and swore in Japanese. "Kuso!"
It was a hawk, and a hawk meant only one things. Zekkyō taka where in the area, and Kage could only guess as to one reason they would be here. He highly doubted it was the female beside himself, and he knew of only one other person who they might want. With in his mind, he called out to his reptilian companion, hoping Sturmgeist had not traveled to far away that it would take him to long to get here. Kage was not carrying very many weapons upon himself. In civilian, day to day wear he carried three weapons. His karambit, and two shuriken hidden with in small special pockets in his pants. He stopped running, knowing that if they where already here running was not going to help them. He released Seraphina's hand.
"You should leave, Seraphina." He said, reaching in to his left pocket. His hand came back out, and with it he was holding one of his two shuriken, while his other hand reached behind his back and drew his karambit. "I apologize, but I think I have lead you in to danger. No, I know I have lead you in to danger. This is why I stay away from people, because it is dangerous to be around me." His eyes where not settling upon the female, but where flicking around the street, up at the roofs, and down the alleyways. He needed to see them first, before they saw him else it would be to late. He was at a disadvantage here, with almost nothing to fight with, and the Zekkyō taka tended to use bows and arrows. So how as he suppose to fight somebody at length, with nothing but two throwing weapons and his small karambit.

Gwen followed Kage's lead as they exited the restaurant; the restaurant staff all gave her mixed looks as they were leaving. Some were of complete disgust as if she were nothing but a whore, and she would've loved to gauge they're eyes out and shove them down their throats. Others were of Envy that she was leaving with such a handsome man. If only they knew what was truly going on. Kage's pace quickened after they made it out the front door. It wasn't quite a run but it defiantly wasn't a pace she enjoyed in her four inch Stilettos.
Even though they'd only been inside for a brief time the entire atmosphere of the streets had changed; there wasn't a soul in sight and the silence was almost maddening. The aromatic tendrils of the blood stained napkin had made it to Gwen's throat and a slight burning sensation was beginning. She really regretted not eating before her meeting with Mr. Nakamora. She discard the napkin like it was a branding iron but a few smudges of the precious Ambrosia remained on her open palm.
Kage stopped releasing her hand from his grasp "You should leave, Seraphina." he said continuously looking to the roof tops for signs of the impending danger that he'd failed to explain to her. "I apologize, but I think I have lead you in to danger. No, I know I have lead you in to danger. This is why I stay away from people, because it is dangerous to be around me." Gwen was going to reply when she heard the twang of a bow string, and in a swift motion she pulled one of the concealed knives from her dress towards the direction of the sound. After a brief moment she heard a dull thud; who ever had fired was now lying a growing pool of their own blood. Gwen smiled knowing she'd hit her mark. It was then that she felt the searing pain in her right side; it appeared that the archer hadn't entirely missed. The arrow had grazed her leaving a deep cut soaking her once beautiful dress in her own blood. "Owwwww, that's going to leave a mark" she half smiled a Kage

Kage twisted away as the twang of a bowstring filled the air, dropping towards the ground and whirling at the same time in an effort to dodge whatever projectile was being catapulted at him from the darkest corners. He grunted, shoving both his palms against the pavement and thrusting himself back up to this feet. He turned, looking towards the noise and seeing a crumpled shadow upon the ground. His eyes slid towards Seraphina, eyeing her as she suddenly spoke towards him.
"Owwwww, that's going to leave a mark"
He blinked and looked down, noticing the small gash upon her side. He grimaced, seeing the blood ruining her exceptional dress. It was not a deep cut, having just grazed her and luckily he knew the Zekkyō taka did not usually poison their arrows. However, it was not unheard of and he would need to get her check out quickly just in the off chance this had been one of those times.
A purple streak flew at them, and collided with Kage's chest and scrambled for purchase. Claws found cloth and gained purchase as Sturmgeist clambered on to Kage's shoulder and looked at him then Seraphina. He began making odd chittering noises, sounding almost like an angry squirrel chattering at an annoying dog. Kage tilted his head, then grabbed the dragon's snout and silenced him.
"Hush Sturm, I already know! Now...I need you to STAY WITH SERAPHINA, keep her safe." He placed an extremely heavy emphasis with staying with the female as he picked Sturmgeist of his shoulder and pushed him in to Seraphina's arms.
"Seraphina, hold on to Sturmgeist and get behind something. In that ally should be a dumpster, and you should tuck in behind it. Sturmgeist will help keep you safe, and I am going to go find out what the hell is going on. Please, just listen to me. I need to get you somewhere to get your wound looked at, it could have been a poisoned arrow and thus haste is needed."

A purple streak whizzed across the sky towards Kage, it was Sturmgeist, Gwen's adorable little ball of scales and warmth. The little dragon was clearly distressed about something, the angry chattering noises were a clear indication of that. Kage snapped the young creature snout shut "Hush Sturm, I already know! Now...I need you to STAY WITH SERAPHINA, keep her safe." The exchange between the two was so adorable, like a father lecturing his young son; it helped distract Gwen from the stinging pain emanating form her side; however, the feeling of the blood trickling down her leg was a good indication that she needed to stop the bleeding.
"Seraphina, hold on to Sturmgeist and get behind something. In that ally should be a dumpster, and you should tuck in behind it. Sturmgeist will help keep you safe, and I am going to go find out what the hell is going on. Please, just listen to me. I need to get you somewhere to get your wound looked at, it could have been a poisoned arrow and thus haste is needed." Kage said handing Sturmgeist to her. She almost collapsed at the added weight of the young dragon; her hunger combined with losing more blood made her feel light headed but she refused to show it. Sturm clambered his way onto her shoulder and Gwen grabbed for her second knife.
She could smell another assailant coming around the corner, she waited a split second more and then through her knife. As the second archer rounded the corner he was met with the blade right between his eyes " Ill be fi......" she said before collapsing to the ground unconscious.

Kage moved away from Seraphina towards where the body was that had fallen upon the ground. He moved swiftly, his eyes scanning upwards and along the pavement. They where hiding, of that he had no doubt. However he needed to check the the body and see if there was anything important in the way of information upon the body as well as needing to acquire the weapons he had upon himself. Kneeling beside the body, Kage flipped the dead man over and jerked the knife that was imbedded in his body out and set it upon the ground beside himself. He then grabbed the bow and quiver of six remaining arrows and set them beside the knife. He glanced around once more, making sure that nobody had snuck up upon himself then began to strip the male of his cloths This one was indeed a male, though not all of them where. Finding nothing of importance upon the male except three shurikens he grumbled under his breath.
He shoved the shurikens in his pocket along with his original, now having five total. His karambit he slid back in to its sheath and the dagger that Seraphina had thrown was tucked in to his pant waistband. A loud screeching hiss sounded from behind him, and he spun around. He swore again in Japanese, standing up and rushing towards where Seraphina had fallen. A writhing purple mass was beneath the unconcious female where poor Sturmgeist had been trapped beneath her falling body. Kage ran over towards them, knocking an arrow and kneeling down again. He lifted Seraphina with one had, letting Sturmgeist wriggle out from under her body but one of his wings was crumpled.
"Can you fly buddy?" Kage asked, watching the dragonling who spread its wings and flapped them feebly then hissed in pain. Well now...Kage was certainly in a jam. He could not carry both Seraphina and Sturmgeist while fighting. He contemplated the predicament, frowning and wondering how to move on. They could not stay here, and he could not move them. He did not know how many where coming, and with limited weapons he did not stand very good chances at survival. He really did not see it as much of a choice. He had to stand his ground and fight apparently, because he would never get both Sturmgeist and Seraphina out of there by himself.

The babbling brook and birds melodious songs filled Gwen's ears as she awoke from what felt like the most rejuvenating rest of her life time. She glanced about looking for Kage and Sturmgeist, but they were no where in sight. The last thing she could remember was throwing another dagger between the eyes of a second archer. Gwen's thoughts then drifted back to Kage; was he alright, what had happened to little Sturmgeist, where was she, where was he? Yes this place was nice and tranquil but she needed to make it back to Japan.
Gwen began running through what she could only assume to be a forest; she was no wilderness expert so trying to find her way out was like looking for a needle in a hay field. In her search she heard a loud screech. It had to be Sturm. The sound seemed like it was coming from up ahead; bolting in the direction of the sounds Gwen broke through some brush and over the edge of a steep cliff. Gwen let out her own scream as she fell to her inevitable doom but just as she was going to hit the ground her eyes opened again. This time to be met with Sturm guarding her by her side. While Kage fought two armed assailants.
Kage had dragged Seraphina in to a corner behind the dumpster he had originally tried to get her behind. However in doing so he had to leave the bow and out in the street where it lay like a beacon to anybody else out there. No sooner had he gotten Seraphina tucked away, with Sturmgeist crouched at her side, little body tensed and ready to squirt his acidic venom at anybody who tried to harm her then he heard two sets of footsteps out upon the street. Knowing that the opposing clan preferred their ranged weapons, footsteps could only mean that they had foregone these to finish the fight off in melee combat. The honorable way to answer this would be in hand to hand combat as well, with ranged combat being dishonorable and looked down upon by both clans.
Stepping out in to the street, Kage drew his karambit in to his right hand and the dagger Seraphina had killed the other man with in to his left hand. He watched as the other two ninjas drew eleven inch long daggers in to their hands, then began to move around him in an attempt to outflank him and attack from both sides at once. He stood his ground, letting the two move upon him first. Then as they moved in to attack, each moving in unison to his left and right, Kage threw himself at the man on his left. Dagger point up, held in his left hand, he moved forward as quickly as he could. His right up came up and around, knocking the other man's left arm wide open exposing his body for a brief moment of time. As his right arm was still moving, Kage swung his left hard upwards, aiming underneath the chin of the man. His defending arm knocked wide, his right arm in mid thrust the man blinked as the dagger rammed up through the hollow of his jaw, through his tongue and through the soft palate of his jaw. Although not a long weapon, the knife was plenty long enough to get the job done, and dropped the man like stone upon the pavement.
Knowing he did not have the time to retrieve the more then likely embedded dagger, Kage simply whirled to his left, coming around through an about face that brought him back to facing the other attacker who was lunging towards him seemingly unfazed by his companion's brutal death. A karambit as his last weapon, knife gone, Kage spun around to eye the other man, slowly his feet moving his body to his left as he began to circle the other man, looking for an opening to slice open his throat. That was the surest wait to win the fight, with the karambit really lacking in the physical power to cut through the kusari katabira the ninja would be wearing.

Gwen watched Kage in awe; his fighting was like watching a great artist painting a masterpiece. Each movement a stroke on the canvas painting the beautiful picture known as death. He took down his first opponent with ease and the second was soon to follow judging by his movements. Maybe Gwen had found someone who could keep up with her hectic life style; the thought made her smile only to be replaced by a wince of pain.
She moved her hand to her bleeding midsection; the cut burned like no other. The arrow must of been laced with something she should've started healing by now, her normal pale complexion looked almost ghostly. Gwen's attention shifted to the small ball of adorable purple scales beside her as he chirped and cheered his "Father" on. It was then that she noticed his right wing was crippled and it made her curious to what had happened.
She stroked the scales on the back of Sturm's neck. The warmth of the young dragons body felt nice on her cold finger tips; she looked back to the man fighting with an exhausted smile. "Could you hurry up" she managed to get out with a little volume.

Kage was a little busy to notice that Seraphina has sat up, though of course Sturmgeist had noticed instantly. The purple reptilian chirped, then turned and crawled in to her lap favoring the crippled wing and hissed softly watching Kage attempting to hold his own against the other shinobi. Kage was at a disadvantage now, with nothing but the karambit that would barely, if at all, penetrate to injure the other person where as they had a long dagger that would easily pierce and stab through Kage's simple civilian cloths with almost no resistance. He had to some how get close enough, and maneuver enough to keep away from his opponent's blade while finding the right spot to slash and cripple his opponent enough to get the advantage.
Kage moved towards the other slowly, eyeing him closely and watching for a sudden movement or attack. The other black clad person moved in perfect unison with him, mirroring his movements almost as Kage made them. It annoyed him slightly, seeing how well this other person moved and made him wonder who was going to come out of this alive. He feinted towards his opponent, who's only reaction was to bring the dagger up high in to an aggressive ready stance. Kage contemplated the situation almost like a math problem. Simple algebra really....He needed to get closer towards his opponent, and that long dagger was in the way. How could he remove it from the equation? The answer came to him quickly, and was almost so simple he would have laughed at himself at his idiocy if he was not in a life or death situation.
Kage stepped forward, right at his opponent. His opponent did the most logical, most likely thing to do in a normal fight like this. He stepped forward as well, lunging and thrusting the blade out toward Kage's chest aiming for his heart. Kage raised his empty left hand, hand up and flat and thrust it at the on coming knife. The knife bit deep, cutting through his palm and erupting out the other side but was stopped in mid-air before reaching his body. Continuing through his step, his right arm swung out and wide, slicing through the air at neck range as the surprised shinobi's eyes widened. Razor sharp edge slashed through the black clad shinobi's neck, spurting blood. The body toppled to the side, and Kage heaved a breath through gritted teeth. The dagger was still lodged right through the middle of his hand, buried to the hilt there as blood poured from his wound. A message rang through his mind, echoing silently inside his skull in the voice of an old man.
~Sometimes it is necessary to take a blow, for it is better to be injured then dead~
'Yes master', he thought to himself as he turned towards Seraphina and his dragon.

Gwen gasped in shock as Kage let the dagger pierce through his hand, what shocked her more was that he barely seemed to acknowledge the pain. Sturm let out a small yelp however; Gwen remembered hearing somewhere that Draconians and there dragons were linked. She tried to comfort the young dragon the best she could. The constant sting of her own injury made it difficult though.
Precious red hemoglobin dripped down the blade like maple syrup. If Gwen wasn't so exhausted she'd have licked the blade clean. With his opponent off guard Kage delivered the fatal blow; spewing a tidal wave of blood from his enemies throat. "Bravo; my knight in shining armor...." Gwen giggled her smile replaced by pain as she reached for her bleeding side with both hands. Her reaction didn't help much for the pressure from her hands only increased he agony. She clenched her teeth trying to supress a squeal of pain.
Looking up "You wouldn't by chance be a doctor as well would you?" She said with a pleading look.

Finishing off his opened, he grunted and closed his eyes. He remained like that a moment, completely still then turned and walked over to Seraphina and knelt down. He quickly reached out, caressing Sturm's head first, then her cheek accidentally leaving a smear of wet blood along her pale flesh. He sighed and shook his head, then groaned softly. He looked down at his left hand, knife still sticking out of it and grimaced and shook his head.
"Unfortunately no, I have no medical training what so ever. I just....kill people." He grimaced even more at that statement then sighed deeply. He then took off his shirt, and began to rip it in to long pieces. He closed his eyes, grabbing the edge of the blade buried in his palm and taking a deep breath jerked it out. He made no noise, but his face contorted as it slide out with a small gush of blood. He then began to use the strip to bind the wound tightly, but left out four of the longest strip.
"I need to take you to a doctor..." He said, grabbing the four strips. He tied two of them together, then the other two together to create two long strips out of the four. Then he took these and reached around her waist and tied first one, then the other over her wound tightly to help staunch the blood. Luckily, it was slowing. Unfortunately, he was not sure if it was slowing from loose of blood, or just because of the blood coagulating.
He suddenly slipped is left arm behind her neck, his right arm beneath her knees and lifted her off the ground. Cradling her against chest, he tsked towards Sturmgeist. The purple ball of scales scrambled up his leg, then curled up on top of Seraphina's breasts. Kage looked down and sighed. "Sorry...probably the worst first date I have ever had. In fact...I do believe this is the first date I have ever had." He grumbled, carrying the weak female and crippled dragon. He kept his left hand clenched, trying to staunch the bleeding a little with the cloth around it.

Kage did not seem very proud of his profession; Gwen had killed for so long it seemed second nature to her. Some may say that sounds cruel or harsh, but after two centuries of watching love ones die you become numb to the pain of death. The only person Gwen couldn't stand losing was her sister Ada; she'd always imagined that her and her sister would go together. The world would be a much bleaker place with out her.
Gwen's thought train was brought to a screeching halt by the sound of tearing fabric. Glancing up she realized that Kage was shirtless and boy did she approve. Each muscle was a sculpted masterpiece, that must of taken hours of training to mold and shape. Gosh she wished she could bite him and not just because she was starving.
Kage reached towards her with two of the remnants of his shirt and tightly wrapped them around her waste. She winced as he tightened them around the cut; but tried not to show too much discomfort so he wouldn't worry. It still stung but the pain was slowly being drowned out by the delectable aroma emanating from Kage's palm. It took every once of her being not to sink her fangs into him. She didn't know which pain was worse the one coming from her side or the burning desire in her throat. This was a completely new cruel level of torture and it didn't help that he'd picked her up either.
Gwen was just about to lose it when a small ball of purple scales nestled itself upon her bussom. The young dragon was a life saver in more ways than one; hes distinct smell helped flood out the aroma of Kage's blood. "Thank you Sturm" she sighed.
"Sorry...probably the worst first date I have ever had. In fact...I do believe this is the first date I have ever had." Kage grumbled. It was cute that he'd openly admit that this was his first date;but being a ninja kind of explained why. " If it makes you feel any better; I'm honored to be your first date" she tried to smile " Its the most exciting one I've been on in quiet sometime. Where did you learn to fight like that? It was beautiful" Gwen continued nestling her head into his shoulder
I'm so sorry it took forever for me to post this. I love you NYGHT ^^

Kage carried her quickly, ignoring the pain in his hand. He would not see anybody for it. The healer, despite her old age, would take care of his wound quickly enough. It would definitely leave a new scar, in both the back of his hand and the palm that would be very visible but that did not both him. Just another to add to the collection criss crossing his back and other parts of his body. Besides, this one was different, and special to him. However Seraphina's words drew him from his disembodied thoughts and he blinked and focused upon her.
"Huh, in quite some time? How many could you possible have had before this? You do not look other then twenty." He blurted it out with out really thinking. Although she had been dressed as older, her face body did not look older then what he had said. So unless she had been extremely promiscuous as a teenager, not that he was judging if she had been, then he wondered how many dates she had actually been upon. However he could not help a smile spreading across his lips at the first words she had spoke. She was honored to be his first date...that made him feel good inside. A warmth that was really unexplained there in the pit of his belly where it should be growing a little cold from the loss of blood leaking from his hand.
"Well, I am glad to have been of service, to help make your most exciting date to date. Fighting comes naturally to me, seeing as I was raised doing it ever since I could even walk. It is simply what we are trained to do. However, I feel the need to ask an important question. Where, exactly should I take you to get treatment? I am no medic, but you clearly need help my dear. I am alright, we have a old wise healer but you would not be welcomed and possibly killed. They do not like outsiders very much."

"Huh, in quite some time? How many could you possible have had before this? You do not look other then twenty." Kage blurted out. It seemed that he truly spoke what was on his mind; Gwen found it adorable. Not many people picked up on the subtle nuances in conversations; but when they did her conversations usually ended up a bit more interesting. "How old do you think I am hot stuff?" Gwen ask with a coy smile. Many a man had been posed this question before but not quite under these same circumstances. It was almost a trick question except that only one answer would satisfy most women; however, Gwen cared little for a correct answer she just wanted to see how creative Kage was.
"Well depends on your answer to the first question" she answered his second question. Many didn't like when Gwen toyed with them but she wasn't one hundred percent sure if she could trust Kage with her secret. Not many were fond of vampyres; especially if they'd never encountered one before.
