After what seemed like an hour, Gwen stepped further into the steaming water and rinsed the scrumptious smelling shampoo out of her hair. Reaching for the conditioner she repeated the process. It after which she noticed Kage standing by the door. What the hell was he doing awake and of all places in the bathroom with her?
Unsure if she felt more excited or angry Gwen turned the water off and grabbed a towel from the hook on the wall. "Kage what the hell are you doing in here, you should be resting? Haven't you ever heard of the word privacy?" She rattled off while wrapping the towel around her self.
Stepping out she grabbed her clothes and moved behind one of the changing screens. She quickly put on her PJs and moved to confront the young man on the other side of the room. "Are you going to say anything?" She stared at him hair still dripping and a mixed fire burning in her eyes

Kage chuckled when she got out of the shower, wrapping herself up in her while berating him for being in the bathroom and not resting. She moved behind a screen that she was, presumably, changing behind, and he moved across the room like a wraith, so when she came out from behind the screen she would all but run in to him. As she queried him further, he reached out and caught one of her hands and brought it up. He inhaled along her flesh, smelling the sweet left over scent of the strawberry scented cleanser she had used then grazed her knuckles with his lips softly before looking up and in to her firey eyes with his own.
"No, I have not heard of privacy. Where I live, we all shower and bath together. Boys and girls, and as children we slept in a single large room together with nothing for privacy. We had to change in full view of each other, and so yes we have a lack of privacy. However, that was not why I wanted to watch you. I simply..." He paused, fingers caressing the hand he was still holding and he then pressed it to his cheek again and smiled, "found it relaxing to watch you and be near you was all. Even more so then simply sleeping."

Normally Gwen would have a clever response like "that sounds like child abuse" or "nice to know you have siblings", but she was speechless. Unable to to break eye contact with the man standing in front of her.
Gwen had played this game many a time throughout her life, but never had she been on this side of the table. Her heart was beating so hard that she thought it might burst out of her chest. Was this love? If so she hated it; she felt completely helpless and vulnerable. "I..... I...." she stuttered trying to think of a rebutle.

Kage smiled, watching her and tilting his head slowly to one side. He was intrigued by her, and wanted to know more. With his mind cleared from whatever had been affecting it before so strongly he was now back to himself. He wanted to know more about Seraphina and now that they where together in her own apartment that was a real possibility. However she seemed hesitant all the sudden, as if she was not sure what she should be doing.
He stepped forward, and gently wrapped his uninjured right hand around her waist and pulled her close gently until their chests where pressing against each other. He smiled, then leaned his head in and pressed his forehead against her own and simply stared in to her eyes his forehead against her forehead and the bridge of his nose against her own. He stayed that way a moment, staring in to her eyes with his hand resting in the small of her back and breathing slowly. "There is no need to be nervous, Seraphina. I am not going to ever intentionally hurt you." He leaned his head every so slightly, pressing his lips to her temple and not leaning his cheek against her forehead.

She felt Kage's hand rest on the small of her back and gentle puller he closer to him. Gwen could feel the steady rythmic beat of his heart. Butterflies filled her stomach making it do leaps and back flips. What was it about him that made her so vulnerable?
She shifted her gaze from the floor up only to be greeted by Kage's mesmerizing dark eyes. Which just kept drawing closer until their foreheads were touching.
"There is no need to be nervous, Seraphina. I am not going to ever intentionally hurt you." He said before kissing her temple. Was this the venom talking? No it couldn't be his actions seemed to relaxed for that, and it should be flushed from his system by now.
Gwen pulled away just slightly, allowing her to find the Kage's lips with her own. All thoughts of right and wrong had ceased and Gwen was in a place of utter serenity. No blood feuds, arms deals, assinations, just her and Kage. Unfortunately like all good things it came to an end. "Excuse me Gwen, the doctor you called has arrived" her bodyguard said with a knock.
Gwen stared at Kage for a moment cheeks flushed. "Well let's get your hand checked out huh?" She said with a slight sigh

Kage kissed Seraphina back, reveling in the feel of her lush lips against his own. Their breath mingling (he idly hoped his breath did not smell bad), and their bodies pressed together. When she pulled away, he very reluctantly allowed her to and turned his head glaring towards the sound of the irritating guard's voice remembering this plot to slash the man's Achille's tendons later. He sighed and turned back to Seraphina and nodded.
"Alright, I suppose it should be done before I can see our healer. Otherwise it could get really bad and I could bleed out. Though it does seemed to have stopped bleeding finally."
He slipped his whole, uninjured right hand in to her hand and entwined his fingers with her own, before letting her lead him from the bathroom to where ever it was she would want them to see this doctor. He was not bothered by the pain, for he had been trained to ignore it. Not that he did not feel the pain throbbing through his right hand, but shinobi training had involved brutal punishment and training to teach one to ignore the pain until it was time to deal with the pain and be healed.

Kage holding her hand sent the butterflies in Gwen's stomach into a frenzy. As they left the bathroom she rested her head on his shoulder just wanting to be closer to him. It appeared little Sturmgeist was still sound asleep on his pillow.
Upon entering the living room they were greeted by an old Japanese man with a light brown leather bag and stethoscope around his neck. Gwen did not understand a single word that he had said, but it seemed Kage did. "I'll be I'm the kitchen if you need me" she smiled and gentle squeezed Kage's hand leaving him in the capable doctors hands.
Gwen hopped up on the counter next to her open wine bottle and noticed the little light on her phone blinking red. It appeared that Ada had been trying to get a hold of her since they'd talked. "Three missed calls, two texts,and a voicemail.... what did she forget something in her lecture?" Gwen said quietly to herself.
Taking a sip from the bottle, Gwen placed the phone to her ear to listen to the msg "Seraphina, I just received a call from Mr. Nakumura and he claimed he was attacked by a ninja like you'd described earlier. I sent you a couple pictures that the restaurant caught of him to see if it was possibly one of the men you'd killed. He also said that the man was after you and wanted you dead. Call me back when you get this it's urgent" the message came to an end.
Out of curiosity Gwen opened the pictures that Ada had sent; it's not like any ninja could just waltz up and kill her. The shots were poor quality , dark and it was hard to tell there was a person in them except for his eyes. However that one feauture was enough to make the butterflies in her stomach wither and die. The man in the picture was Kage...

Kage went with Seraphina, then grunted as he saw the Japanese doctor. At least they hired a good one, even if he was not of the same caliber as their healer. He sat down then remained still as the doctor began to clean his wound and dress it properly. He did not so much as flinch at the pain, refusing to show any signs that he was feeling anything except a single grunt to let the doctor know he WAS in fact feeling it. Not feeling the wound could be a sign of infection and gangrene which could be deadly if left untreated and could result in Kage loosing his entire hand.
When the doctor finished wrapping his hand up and handed him some pills, he shoved them back at the doctor and shook his head. He did not need pain killers, nor did he need any antibiotics. His healer would take care of all of that back at the Clan. He actually should be getting back there pretty soon, but he was not sure he really wanted to leave yet. He wanted to spend as much time with Seraphina as possible before he had to leave to begin doing whatever it was the Clan would have him do next.

Seraphina took a large swig from the open wine bottle, and contemplated her next actions. It was evident that Vincent hadn't been notified of the potential threat, due to the fact he was still in the hallway. She didn't want to believe that Kage was hear to kill her; and it made no sense if he wanted her dead why not just leave her bleeding to death in that back alley. It was possible he didn't know that she was his target because she'd never met with Mr. Nakumura.
The doctor had finished his work and began preparing to leave. Seraphina grabbed of the knives from the kitchen block. Concealing it against her wrist she padded across the room towards the seated Kage. "The man outside will see to paying you sir" she notified the doctor and with that he left.
Kneeling behind Kage, Seraphina rested her head upon his shoulder and cooed "All better now, hhmmmm?" While running her left hand across up left forearm feeling the muscles relax under soft touch. His guard appeared to be down and Gwen decided now was the time , "Who hired you to kill me?" Her tone darkened as she brought the knife to his throat.

Kage sat back, relaxing as Seraphina came in after the doctor finished. He did indeed relax as she touched him, and he was taken off guard when she suddenly put the knife to this throat. He however remained calm, not moving as the cold steel touched his throat, a relaxed as he had been when she had simply been touching him. He quirked an eyebrow, and turned his just the slightest bit to look at her out of the corner of his eye and chuckled softly.
"Dearest Seraphina, if I had wanted to kill you or had been hired to kill you, would I have not simply done it already? There would have been plenty of times to do such. I could have killed you in the restaurant surrounded by people, or when I took you out on our dinner date. A simple trick and a general poison could have been added to your drink or food. I could have left you to the not so gentle hands of the Zekkyō taka Clan who would have happily taken you, tortured you, raped you, then used you to probably create more vampires who would join their cause. I could have also left you there to bleed to death upon the sidewalk in that back ally. I could have also killed you in the shower while I was watching you and you had no weapons and where defenseless. Finally, the last piece of evidence that I do not want you dead for whatever reason you seem to think I want you that way is the best; Sturmgeist likes you. Sturm would never like somebody who we had a mark upon, and for that point neither would I. It would be a disgrace and dishonor to have such feelings towards somebody I was only going to kill later."
He shrugged his shoulders and sighed, then simply went back to sitting still letting Seraphina decide what it was she wanted to do. Would she lower her knife, and tell him exactly what it was she was going on about, or would she do something else? Either way, causing him harm would not end very well for herself.
Having sensed danger and slight alarm form his bondsmate, Sturmgeist had jumped away in the bed. Leaping down from the bed, it had crawled slowly from the bedroom. The small dragonling had then activated it's ability to go invisible and with a small jump had leap up on to a small table then leap in to the air and flew up towards the ceiling fan. There, the dragon curled around the device that was powered off, lurking above heads of his bondsmate and the woman from earlier who was so nice. However that same woman was now threatening Kage. Sturmgeist's mouth tightened, his cheek muscles flexing preparing to expel a stream of corrosive acid at the female should she harm his bondsmate.

Seraphina digested everything kage had said for a moment; all of his points were valid and if truly wanted to hurt her he obviously wouldn't save her like he had in that alley. All paths pointed to that he was telling her the truth. She moved the knife away from his throat and backed up into the kitchen.
"I'm sorry Kage; I let paranoia get the better of me." She took a swig from the open wine bottle that was still resting on the counter; something was telling her that the bottle would be empty by the end of the evening. "One my business associates got in touch with my sister saying an assassin had threatened him with his life and mine....." she trailed off to take another swigg of wine " The photo he provided of his attacker was you. Long story short I'm sorry" she said hoisting herself onto the counter.
Ada would kill her if she found out that she was discussing business matters with someone not officiated with the orginization, but she owed him a good explanation for attempting to murder him. Kage was luckier than most,anyone else would've had the cool steel of a knife embedded in their throat before they got a chance to speak.

Kage blinked as she moved away, frowning and rubbing the spot upon his throat where the knife had been. He raised an eyebrow at her and sighed deeply, shaking his head slowly from side to side. As she backed away, he stood up and looked up at his dragonling who suddenly appeared there and leap down on to his arm. Sturmgeist crooned and nuzzled Kage's neck along the spot where the knife had been, licking and nuzzling it making sure Kage was alright. He followed Seraphina in to the kitchen and watched her swig from the bottle of fine and raised both his eyebrows now.
He simply shrugged his shoulders at her words, and nothing else. "I threatened somebody's life in the restaurant we found each other in. However I never threatened your life. He also deserved far worse then what I gave him....one does not simply attempt to cheat my clan out of the money they are owed. It is unwise to do so, and we will find people like that. Luckily, he came to see reason and paid what was due and left perfectly unharmed."
He leaned against the door frame, reaching up to stroke Sturm's head slowly who cooed at the attention and licked Kage's cheek and then looked over at Seraphine, large eyes staring directly at her own as if trying to say something though Kage did not translate any words from the small dragonling towards her.

The young dragons innocent puppy eyes stare made her heart melt inside. They were so large in contrast to his tiny frame. Sturm was probably one of the most adorable creatures Gwen had ever encountered; however, in a few years he'd be one of the most menacing beasts around. "I'm sorry that I woke you little one" she said gently descending from the counter to pat the small dragon on the head. His purple scales matched the nail polish that she was wearing.
The quiet moment was interrupted by her vibrating phone on the counter. It was a text from Ada; *The jet will arrive at the airport by 5 a.m, do not be late. We have urgent business we need to discuss when you get home* Gwen let out a dissappointed sigh. Despite not wanting to come in the first place; this trip had turned out to be more fun in its own special way. Except for the part where she almost died. Gwen rubbed her arms,she hadn't noticed how chilly it was in here til now, and her long wet hair didn't help the situation either.
She looked to Kage longing in her eyes "I have to leave in a few hours" she paused for a brief moment "Is there anything you want to do...?"

Kage looked at her, watching as she patted Sturmgeist's head. The dragonling arched it's neck purring loudly like some sort of mutated cheshire cat or another. Kage rolled his eyes playfully and laughed softly at that before shaking his head. It was comical watching the two of them together, like a cat and and a person who comes over to the house far to often and thus the cat knew exceptionally well. It was just very glad to see that Sturmgeist could get along with somebody else beside's himself, as well as getting along with somebody who meant so much to Kage himself. It would have been extremely awkward if Sturmgeist did not like Seraphina at all, and Kage did like her the way he did now. It would have been rather interesting as well, to say the least but extremely awkward and strange.
He blinked as her phone suddenly went off and broke the silence that had fallen for a moment. He watched as she pulled out the cellular device, opening it and reading over whatever had been sent to her. He raised his eyebrow, watching with some amusement as she did this. He had never owned a cellphone, though he had used one upon the rare occasion. It was one of those little things that the clan would not allow him to own or have, claiming it would be a distraction and could possible become a hinderance. Kage supposed he could see such a thing happening to some people, he had seen so many people glued to their phones all the time texting and talking away he wondered how exactly they ever got anything done in their lives. Kage simply could not see using a phone for anything more then possibly calling somebody for emergency reasons, or sending a text every now and again to let somebody know of important updates. Sort of like that rage everybody was on about online, something about faces being in books or something? Seemed like if their faces where in books more often, people would be smarter then they really where.
When she looked up at him and informed him of her upcoming retreat from this place, he sighed and frowned. He did not want her to leave, especially with out a way to get in contact with her again. How would he keep in touch with this beautiful woman whom his heart ached for in such a way he was not sure what it was he was feeling? He nodded slowly after her words, and slowly forced his frown in to a smile. Looking in to her eyes, seeing her emotions there and leaned close. He pressed his lips to her cheek, then leaned close and whispered softly in to her ear, telling her exactly what it was he wanted from her.
"I want you to stay with me....but seeing as that can not happen....I simply want you." He kissed her cheek again, waiting to see how she responded to what he had said to her.

A Shiver of excitement crept down Seraphina's back as Kage whispered in her ear. She raised her hand up onto his shoulder and traced the contours of his well muscled frame down until their hands met. Grasping the tips of his fingers she beckoned him to follow her towards the bedroom.
... The Next Morning
Seraphina has finished applying the last band aids to the sleeping ninja; she almost felt bad for how many times she'd bitten him, but she just couldn't help the way he made her feel. In all her time she had never met someone as special as him. She continued to stare at Kage's sleeping form unitl the gentle knock on the door notified her it was almost time to leave. She begrudgingly got dressed and collected her things; she placed her club's business card on the night stand next to Kage and leaned down kissing his sleeping forehead " Good bye" she whispered.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting for forever beautiful" ^^
